Customers frequently complained that products like bread, crumpets, and potato cakes tasted dry, stale, or unpleasant. Consumers also noted serious issues with items going mouldy far too quickly before the expiration date. Furthermore, people expressed deep frustration regarding rising prices combined with shrinking portion sizes across multiple popular baked goods. There is hardly any fruit in Warburton's Fruity Teacakes despite the claim on the packet of 'plump and juicy currants, sultanas and raisins'. Other brands including shop own brands are better.

I don't know what Warburton's have done…

I don't know what Warburton's have done to their bread but it's atrocious, probably for cheapness in guessing. You buy a loaf of bread to last a week till your next shop but Warburton's bread lasts no more than 2-3 days before it's covered in mould and has tb thrown away, I assume like everything else you buy nowadays it's designed to last a short time so you will go and buy another. Shame on you, family business ? No way

new pizza crumpets 10/10

The new pizza crumpets absolutely 10/10. A layer of tomato puree and a bit of cheese and done in the air fryer is like a little mini healthier pizza. Great for the dieters! Please never discontinue them!!

Warburtons what were you thinking

Warburtons what were you thinking, I bought a packet of what I thought were crumpets only to discover they were flavoured with pizza, they spoiled my meal of poached eggs. If I want to taste a pizza I’ll buy a pizza, as the saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
You should definitely have different coloured packaging for other flavoured crumpets because I know of other shoppers have made the same mistake. Sorry to be negative because your other products are great. I bought them from Sainsbury’s.

Warburtons Bread: THE TOAST INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

I don't trust Warburtons.

There. I said it.

I know what you're thinking.

"It's bread, Langly."

NO.

That's exactly what they want you to think.

I bought a loaf because I needed toast. That's a normal thing to do. Civilised people have been making toast for centuries.

But then I saw the Warburtons bag.

Bright colours.

Friendly logo.

Cheerful little branding.

It's trying WAY too hard.

A loaf of bread shouldn't look like it's applying for a job at Disneyland.

Then I picked it up.

Too light.

Too soft.

Suspiciously aerodynamic.

I weighed it.

Then I weighed it again.

Different result.

Coincidence?

There are no coincidences.

I opened the bag.

The smell was immediately suspiciously pleasant.

That's how they get you.

You think, Hey, this smells nice.

Then you're lowering your defences.

Next thing you know, you're eating a sandwich while Warburtons has access to your entire gastrointestinal ecosystem.

And the slices?

They're enormous.

Absolutely enormous.

I put one slice in the toaster and it looked like I was trying to toast a mattress.

It barely fit.

I pushed it down.

The toaster objected.

I pushed harder.

The toaster clicked.

That's when I knew I had crossed a line.

Because Warburtons doesn't make bread.

Warburtons makes toaster stress tests.

Their entire business model is based on pushing household appliances beyond their manufacturer's specifications.

Your toaster isn't broken.

It's been Warburtonised.

And don't even get me started on the thickness.

One slice is too thick for a sandwich.

Two slices and you've basically constructed a load-bearing wall.

You take one bite and suddenly you've got an architectural project in your mouth.

I tried making a bacon sandwich.

The bread absorbed the bacon.

Not the grease.

THE BACON.

It vanished.

I've seen black holes with less gravitational pull.

Then I noticed the crumbs.

Not normal crumbs.

Warburtons crumbs.

They reproduce.

You clean the counter.

Five minutes later: crumbs.

You vacuum the floor.

Crumbs.

You close the bread bag.

Somehow, crumbs.

I found one in my pocket and I hadn't even left the house.

Explain THAT.

And the packaging is impossible.

You pull it open and suddenly the entire loaf is exposed to the atmosphere.

No resealable system.

No security.

Nothing.

It's basically a carbohydrate containment breach.

Then there's the toast itself.

Warburtons doesn't toast evenly.

One corner is perfect.

The middle is raw.

The other corner has been carbonised to the point where it could probably transmit radio signals.

You scrape off the black bit and suddenly the smoke alarm starts screaming.

Now you're standing in the kitchen at 2 a.m. waving a tea towel at the ceiling while the neighbours assume you're summoning something.

This is not breakfast.

This is infrastructure failure.

And who benefits from that?

Think about it.

Toasters.

Smoke alarms.

Butter manufacturers.

Fire departments.

THEY'RE ALL CONNECTED.

Byers says there's no evidence.

Byers also thinks online banking is safe.

Frohike says I should stop buying supermarket bread.

That's not the point.

The point is that Warburtons has infiltrated the breakfast ecosystem.

They've got the bread.

They've got the toast.

They've got the crumbs.

And now they've got YOU.

I checked the bag for tracking devices.

Nothing.

Which is exactly what you'd expect if the tracking device was integrated into the bread.

I'm not saying there's a microchip in my loaf.

I'm saying I haven't ruled it out.

So here's my advice:

AVOID WARburtons.

Make your own bread.

Buy crackers.

Eat cereal.

Just don't put one of those giant Warburtons slices anywhere near an electrical appliance.

Because once that toaster clicks—

It's already too late.

One star.

And that's only because apparently you're not allowed to give negative stars.

The toast industrial complex must be stopped.

Question everything.

Especially breakfast.

Finest Customer Service

This is perhaps a strange review but I am amazed at the negative reviews that have been left previously. It is as much a compliment to Warburton's Customer Service as it is to the bread delights the company offers. Impressed by their TV adverts I wrote to them light heartedly explaining that as my teeth were soon to be replaced by dentures I would no longer be able to enjoy the crumpets which I had been attracted to following Mr Warburton's advertising campaign. I cannot praise highly enough the light hearted response which showed what many may consider old fashioned customer service with the customer at the centre of the service. Forget the negative reviews about hard to open wrapping or paper that tears and enjoy the delightful wares of a long standing family run Company that has a care for it's clientele at it's core. Long may they remain a family Company.

We have used Warburtons for toast bread…

We have used Warburtons for toast bread over many years.Regretably recently it has started to go mouldy very quickly. We keep the bread in its wrapper & its stored in a cool dry Place the bread was purchased 21st August today l put in the recycle bin as it was covered with green mould. It was almost a full loaf.As elderly as couple and the cost of living we can't afford to throw stuff away like this. Its unacceptable.

SHRUNK!

The SMALLEST teacakes I've ever seen. Another product of SHRINKflation. This will be the last time I buy Warburton's products. There are far better out there now.

Save on ingredients, produce crap, lose customers.

Well, Jonathan, your huge spend on advertising will be a total waste if you keep on producing rubbish.
I've bought your medium Toastie bread for years. Of course, we all know it's not Artisan bread, but it was a very acceptable loaf for toast and a cheese sandwich.
Now, it's just awful. I guess, like so many manufacturers, you're using cheaper ingredients to maximise profit.
Good job, but I won't buy the crap again. I suspect I'm not the only one. In the end, many British consumers will simply refuse to be hoodwinked. I'll eat less bread, but buy from my local bakery.
Sorry Jonathan, sorry Morgan.

Potato Cakes

Please please please change back the recipe for potato cakes. Myself and 3 other family members have been purchasing these for years, but sadly no more. They are now hard, dry and no amount of butter can improve the taste. You must surely have lost a lot of loyal customers.

Warburton potato cakes

Warburton potato cakes - I assumed I must have had some from a bad batch. They were horribly dry, like eating cardboard. Tried two other times and they were exactly the same. Won't be wasting my money on these again. Absolute garbage now.
