Lots of money gets you poor lens

I purchased for the first time from WP a new set of progressive lenses last year. They cost almost $500 and were the worst pair of glasses ever. The lower reading portion on the bottom of the lens was so tiny making them unusable for reading. The store provided no satisfaction. Glasses purchased from Googles4U were substantially less in price and provided a better reading field. I was told by the WP salesperson that my lens choice should have been a larger lens size to allow for more space in the lower area. I'm never going back.

Easy to Find Glasses to Love

I love the virtual try-on! I have two pairs of glasses now and both fit exactly like their virtual versions. I have used virtual try-ons from other companies and they are a joke. Warby Parker's virtual try-on is reliable and works like it should. It's really phenomenal.

My only suggestion is to offer a progressive reader option for non-prescription customers... readers on the bottom for my phone, no power on the top for TV. I couldn't find a way on the site or in the app to order something like that without a prescription.

They are offering a sale on buying two…

They are offering a sale on buying two pairs of glasses , which I did but they didn't give me the discount price because I didn't buy them in the same day. Guess what they want to do instead. They want to take them back for a return and then I can repurchase. How much of a waste of resources is that? Plus I wasn't even asking for a refund on the first pair. I just wanted the discount on the second pair. They have horrible policies in the customer service Is terrible, but I will return both pairs and then re purchase, and they could pay for shipping six times instead of once. How is this environmentally friendly? My glasses are progressive so they're already the most expensive. I was very valuable customer. For 5 years. I've had eye exams and glasses from there, and this is how they treat me.

Cancelling an order is difficult

Please note that warby parker service to cancel an order is the slowest, I have made the mistake of buying from them. I went to check on their site to see how to cancel and they say to call, email or chat. I had tried to chat and email. Their chat system is horrible and doesn't notify you if someone responds. I get someone who says they will cancel then, later when I noticed they did send me that a new person is there the day after and they said it is automatic 1 hour processing of non prescription glasses. Which is not clearly written on the site before purchasing (otherwise I wouldn't have bought it unless I wanted to go through the hassle). Then says they can only give me a return label for full refund. I feel like this process was way too drawn out and customer service too slow for what should have also been an automatic cancellation.

Lie about Storage of Your Financial…

Lie about Storage of Your Financial Data, Very Disorganized.

They write on their website that they don't store your credit card information, but clearly they do because I had an order attached to a credit card I canceled a long time ago and they automatically defaulted to this payment method online.
They also lost my updated payment information, generating many emails and attempted charges to a canceled card.
When I specifically asked whether or not they store your credit card information, how it can be deleted and why they do it (where can I delete it), they said they don't. Then the person on the call center said they may have it from an old order.
I received 6-7 emails from them that were going back and forth about small things to up-sell and they obviously are a combination of automated garbage and semi-personalized information. They sent something requesting an inter-pupillary distance, wanted a photo, then said they don't need it. Then said later they did but somehow the photo is gone. I don't trust anything they are doing. They reflect incompetence clinically, financially, and logistically. They should not be trusted with any payment information and lie about storing it. Really below any acceptable standard.

Very happy with this company

Both the eye exam and eyeglass purchase were a pleasant trouble free experience. The sales rep at the Montvale NJ store ( Angel ) was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My only negative is that their policy does not allow the reuse of their own frames when getting new lenses.

I scratched just one lens

I scratched just one lens. The staff at WP seemed to have trouble with the simple math calculations on how much it would cost me. I was given a completely different cost than what I was given on the phone yesterday. Also, I was told that they don’t replace just one lens. The cost was much higher than Costco because they will replace just one lens and Costco’s cost was quite cheaper. Costco will replace lens from other venders. Very disappointed at WP, and I will not use them again. WP, in my opinion deserves their low ratings.

JUST A BAD COMPANY!

After watching your interview with the CEO of Warby Parker I gave them a try. WHAT A MISTAKE! MY ORDER IS NOW 3 WEEKS PLUS OLD. I called the company to confirm my order and the customer contact barley speaks English. When you call about the order I placed, the Company doesn’t let you talk to a live person. The recording wants to text you marching orders to get your info. BIG PROBLEM…The websites a mess as well. Logging in is a huge issue. Older people don’t text and hate doing business like that. It took 4 tries to get through to someone live. VERY SAD!!!

WP is the worst

WP is the worst. They use cheap Chinese plastic on most frames that are worth maybe $12 at most. They have no clue about shipping companies other than the slow as snails USPS. The $25 to "rush" shipping does nothing but give them $25. Their customer service is worse mainly because they hit you bluntly with the "we're hipper than you" mentality which is frustrating because being hip makes most sellers stupid, and WP is wildly successful at being hip. I have bought from them twice. Returned the first pair after a lens scratched within a week by simply placing the frames in the WP supplied cheap holder. Yes, they replaced them, with the same cheap pair. It must have cost them about $8 in total personnel brain power to discover the try at home deal, if you choose from any of the try at home, that is the same pair they will ship you. 7-10 days is their mantra. Both orders have taken over 21 days and I live about an hour away from Atlanta. Guess I need to move to a larger metroplex. Go to your local optomery clinic even if it's Walmart, you will get more satisfaction and although you won't be as hip as WP, you will get your order within 3 days.

In July 2022 I was thrilled to try Warby Parker

In July 2022 I was thrilled to purchase a pair of Warby Parker eyeglasses for considerably less than I have had to pay in the past. I need progressive lenses plus eyeglasses that automatically turn into sunglasses. The first problem I had with the eyeglasses was that they were not fitted correctly, i.e. they continually slip down my nose. I went back a number of times to have them tightened but the problem was/is that the nose part is too big for my nose and they should never have sold me the glasses. Nonetheless, I decided to live with them. However, approximately ten months later, I noticed that the lower part of both lenses is... like clouded. The glass is permanently damaged. I wrote to Warby Parker and never received an answer, So in July 2023 I went into the store in downtown Milwaukee and asked to speak to a manager. I showed her my glasses and she quickly saw the problem but told me it was too late to do anything and she didn't know if I used acid or something which had damaged the glass on the eyeglasses. I'm 68 years old, a retired high school teacher and have never even seen acid in my life!!! Her next explanation was that I was allowing the glasses to fall down my nose, thereby causing sweat to ruin the glass. I can't afford to purchase new glasses every year on a fixed income. Warby Parker should stand behind what they sell.

Poor experience and Eye Exam

I went into the store predisposed to liking Warby Parker. I was very disappointed in the service and exam. The exam cost $110 while a comparable exam at See was only $79 and $69 at Walmart. The optometrist tried to sell me more expensive bifocal/transition lens even though I told her I did not want them. I do not believe the prescription was right as I could see better with my glasses from 2014 with a prescription by an ophthalmologist. The glasses also were very uncomfortable--the staff person was very nice and tried to find a comfortable frame but we could not identify one.

Store error and I have to pay for it?

I ordered two pairs of eyeglasses, one photochromic. That same day I called to add blue light blocking. I was not informed that photochromic lenses cannot have blue light blocking.
My eyeglasses arrived and the one I specified was not photochromic. I called the store and 888 number and was informed there would be an up charge of $50. Why? It was store error in not providing me with correct information. It’s the principle - No taking responsibility for a sales associate who failed to inform me and cancelled my photochromic lens order without informing me.
So now what?

I went to WP to get glasses

I went to WP to get glasses and an updated prescription. The appointment was $85 and took just 15 minutes. I picked out a frame and was out within 30 minutes. My glasses arrived to my door within 3 days and they are great. I paid an extra $50 for the high index lenses and I am satisifed with them. In total I paid $145 for the frame with the high index lenses. The frames feel sturdy for just $145. I will probably buy another pair from the website. It makes no sense to pay double for a pair of lenses at lenscrafters.

2 Months, Still no glasses

This is rediculous, I ordered 2 pairs, one for myself and one for my wife.

My pair was initially delivered without measure the ocular centre height, and the Irvine Spectrum lady kept tell me it was the problem of my eye. I just happened to checkout the Fashion Island store where they found the problem and put in a remake. The remake is taking more than 2 weeks and not even shipped. Its more than 2 months now in total time and I still have not gotten my glasses.

My wife is even more frustrated with hers. She is getting the 3rd remake. 1st remake the ocular centre height was measure way too low, by the Irvine Spectrum lady. Then the 2nd remake came in without the photochromic lens we paid for. I have yet to check the 3rd remake because my pair is not arrived at Fashion Island Store.

This is extremely frustrated and unprofessional.

Don't care about losing customers

Don't care about losing customers

I placed an order for 5 at-home try-ons in early June. A few weeks went by and they never came. I contacted CS and they apologized and sent out a new box.

That one came eventually and I liked two of the pairs.

When I went to order the glasses, I couldn't get to the checkout window, which I found odd. I tried multiple times in different browsers (and cleared my cache/cookies) and nothing worked. They didn't seem too concerned about it, saying to just call and place the order over the phone. This I didn't want to do, I just wanted to be able to order online.

Eventually somehow it worked, but then I couldn't upload my prescription. It wouldn't accept the .jpg and I kept getting errors. I contacted CS (again) and they said to just email them the prescription.

Finally I was able to place the order after multiple emails back and forth with customer service. However, when the glasses arrived both didn't fit properly. I let them know and was told

I ordered a different bridge fit than normal (fine, my bad, but they didn't fit weird with the at-home pair I tried) but instead of "let's see if we can get you a better-fitting pair" I was told to take them to an eye doctor and get them adjusted.

This annoyed me because I had paid over $250 for 2 frames that didn't fit properly and was basically told to take time out of my day to take the glasses in to get them adjusted by someone else.

I let them know I thought that their solution wasn't right and that they should send me two better-fitting frames as well as a pre-paid shipping label so I could send the old ones back.

They basically said "OK!" and did just that. (I thought it was odd that I had to tell them how to take better care of a customer, but whatever.)

The new frames come and they fit even worse than the old ones. This is even after going back and forth with a CS rep (again) about how this had actually happened to me years ago and I got a better-fitting pair mailed out and the problem was fixed.

Unfortunately, I was basically told in so little words "oh well" about the four pairs of glasses that didn't fit.

Excessive positivity and advice like "here's what to do next!" from CS reps did nothing to solve the *actual* problem which was an overall terrible customer (and user) experience. Hiccups throughout the end-to-end process shouldn't happen, should be taken seriously, and if they DO happen, the least a company like Warby Parker could do would be to offer a discount so the customer could feel like their problem was taken seriously.

I'm done.

Worst Customer Service I've Experienced

Warby Parker has quite possibly the worst customer service I have experienced. I placed an order and received their order confirmation email that says estimated delivery of 7-10 business days with a link to track my order that said the below:

"YOUR ORDER IS
Working on it
We're hard at work making your order specifically for you!

Check back for updates on your order."

I keep checking back and check the my orders page on their site with no updates. I wait 10 business days and then chat in to see what is going on and it turns out the payment was declined. No mention of this on the track my order page or the my account order page which both still said it was in process.

I chat in to customer service to see if they can help me get my glasses faster since I had been waiting 10 business days already and NONE of their order tracking links mentioned any issue. They had sent 2 emails which had gone to spam since I wasn't looking out for them.

These types of things happen its not a big deal and just wanted them to help me get my glasses faster since I'd already been waiting 10 business days and none of their systems work in terms of showing there is an issue. The solution the rep comes up with is that I would have to pay an additional $25 to cut the time down to 4-6 business days. No additional help or anything offered.

It is incredibly frustrating because I did follow exactly what their order confirmation said to do (track my order using their page and wait 10 business days) and then they tell me there's this issue that I had no idea about and offer absolutely no assistance to rectify it. The agent was atrocious and offered no assistance and when I asked to be transferred to a manager sat waiting for 15 minutes before they disconnected me.

Awful customer service.

Different experience this time

I am not sure what happened in terms of quality to Warby Parker, I ordered my first pair from them 3 years ago, but now the price is not the same, and the quality is also not the same.
