Awful experience
Called in for breakfast. 25 minutes later tea coffee arrived then a further 25 minutes one of two ordered breakfasts arrived. Ask girl serving, where my breakfast was, to receive a puzzled look. Then she went and looked through the till receipts. I could see there was a debate behind the counter. I went up to the counter and asked, has there been a mistake with my breakfast? No reply, continued looking at the till, but i did receive a grunt. I said cancel my breakfast. Nothing not a comment. A take out order the person was also at the counter complaining about the length of time it was taking. Other tables were getting theirs in Part orders at a time. Four tables were sitting with dirty dishes and no one seem to notice until, approximately an hour later a guy came with a trolley and cleared and cleaned them. Whilst the waitress had walked past them on her return to stand at the till. I noticed when they were preparing the coffee the elderly lady making the teas and coffee, rubbing the inside of my cup with her thumb, not sure what the item was she tried to remove from my cup, but coffee was not taken. Whilst I understand on occasions staff can get caught out. But no apology or empathy given. My wife's breakfast she did not enjoy. We have been here before and it was okay, but awful today and customer service is appalling. Normally food is good but we will never step through the doors again. Very bad manners. I was reluctant to leave a bad review but now at 22.49 I have decided it is worthy for a bad review on our experience today. I hope they reflect and something Positive comes out of it for the business. Not sure how you would change attitude of the front facing staff. Maybe some training would help. Hope you find this review helpful / useful. We did ask and received a refund for the breakfast that was paid for but not received.
