Unacceptable Security Lapses and Devastating Consequences

I am extremely disappointed with WATI's platform and its glaring security failures. A few days after using their service, their system was hacked, and hackers managed to send over 30,000 unsolicited messages to random people from our account. This breach not only caused immense reputational damage to our business but also led Meta to permanently restrict our access to Facebook and Instagram services, crippling our ability to run ads or leverage their platforms for growth.

We trusted WATI to provide a secure, reliable communication tool for our business, but instead, we’ve faced one of the worst setbacks in our history. The lack of robust security measures, transparency, or effective action to prevent such an incident is deeply concerning.

To make matters worse, there has been no adequate compensation or support from WATI for the massive loss of business opportunities and trust. Businesses that rely on Meta services should think twice before using WATI, as their negligence could cost you your business presence and credibility.

This experience has been nothing short of catastrophic for us. I urge WATI to improve their security measures immediately and ensure no other business has to suffer such avoidable consequences. If you value your business, your customers, and your reputation, stay far away from WATI.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, great sales team, whatsapp service is decent but once you buy it THERE IS NO CLIENT SUPPORT. I Have been trying to cancel the service for a few weeks now because there is NO OPTION to cancel manually the service, horrible business practices. Save your money and time

customer support unexisting

customer support unexisting. a lotof publicity. they made changes and the conversations became unorganized. the only approve templates that are the most expensive ones. spanish is not even good. platforma is not spanish. we started to use it because we were not knowing other platforms.
it is non explicative, not intuitive.

Great platform for whatsapp automation…

Great platform for whatsapp automation for our business! It's easy to use interface makes it simple for creating campaigns. Template approvals are fast, videos upto 12MB are supported.

If you can add some features to convert the text to other Indian languages - it'll be great.

Pricing has been increased a bit in the past few months - it'll be great if you can have some economical packages to support startups!

STAY AWAY FROM WATI. SCAM AND NOT SECURE - WILL DESTROY YOUR BUSINESS

WATI is the worst platform we’ve ever dealt with. We are a business based in Iraq, and their incompetence has caused us nothing but damage. Our account was hacked, and someone sent thousands of spam messages to Indonesia – a country we don’t even operate in! Our inbox is now full of garbage messages in a language we can’t read, and their system is so insecure that the hacker has been able to keep draining our credits, which we paid for.

As if that wasn’t enough, WATI’s negligence got our WhatsApp Business account suspended for violating WhatsApp’s terms of service. So now we’ve lost our money, our main communication channel, and countless hours trying to fix the chaos they created.

And where is WATI’s support team? Completely unresponsive. They’ve ignored every email we’ve sent. It’s like they don’t care at all that their shoddy platform has destroyed our operations.

Every single day that this issue isn’t resolved, our business takes another hit. WATI is not just unreliable – they’re a liability. Their platform is unsafe, their support is non-existent, and their impact on our business has been catastrophic.

Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from WATI. They don’t deserve a single penny from anyone.

Best value for money to have a fully capable business running on whatsapp

Overall: Amazing value for the price paid, I run 30% of my business sales on it, and generate customer love through automated messaging

Pros: Convenient, with a clean web interface, really helpful for customer care team with a centralised whatsapp account, possibility to assign agents, great integration of a click-to-whatsapp on our website that clients love, a mobile app to handle request on the go, quick response, template management. And ZAPIER integration to automate all this!

Cons: Mobile app can still improve to have a perfect UI, would also be nice to be able to edit a template directly into wati when it's rejected by facebook

Disappointing Billing Policies and Slow Customer Support


I’ve been a WATI customer for over two years, but my recent experience with canceling my subscription has left me very dissatisfied.

WATI operates as a prepaid service, so we pay in advance. When I decided to cancel, I still had $45 worth of SMS credits left., so I used them up before canceling.

, I was informed that I needed to pay the full month’s invoice before my subscription could be canceled, even though I was no longer planning to use the service. I reluctantly paid for the entire month, expecting to continue receiving service until the last day of my billing cycle.

Adding to the frustration, their customer support is very slow—I sent an email to cancel, and it took two days to get a response. The delay, combined with their rigid billing policies, made the process unnecessarily complicated and disappointing.

I expected better customer care and flexibility, especially as a long-term customer. Think twice before subscribing to WATI if you value responsive support and fair billing practices.

Bad experience

Please dont use wati, its bad and very expensive for what it is.

1. They dont secure their webhooks, meaning anyone using WATI is risking their security.

2. They dont allow you to disconnect your number, you are left waiting for hours for it to be disconnected.

3. The API is minimal and lets you only do very basic things.

4. There is no way to edit flows or templates in sync with facebook. Meaning you can only use very simple and basic ones.

I integrated WATI with my Survey…

I integrated WATI with my Survey platform where I used it's Promotional Messages feature to send message to our subscribed users to inform for any new survey available for them. Not only this, I also sent automated Translational messages through WhatsApp using WATI which allowed me to cut my operational costs.

Till the time everything is fine, the setup was quite fast without any issue. The integration team helped me to setup my campaigns within a week of starting and it's been more than an year since I am using WATI for my business.

The only thing u would like them to improvise is there Android app speed and user Interface like the navigation part and statistics dashboard.

We've had a great experience using Wati…

We've had a great experience using Wati for our WhatsApp campaigns. what we liked:
1.The platform makes it incredibly easy to create campaigns quickly
2. offers a wide range of features, including automation bots and shared inbox management.
3.The WooCommerce integration worked out well fine without any intervention from wati team. unlike some other partners we tried earlier.
4. The messaging limit automatically increased without us having to inform the team.

We primarily use Wati for broadcast messages and appreciate the detailed analytics it provides, which help us gauge the effectiveness of our campaigns. User management is straightforward, and the platform is entirely self-serve, eliminating any dependency on the Wati team.

We've reached out for support, particularly for troubleshooting a feature like abandoned cart workflows, and it worked out after 2 sessions.
Overall, Wati has been a reliable solution for our WhatsApp marketing needs
