Tom was very helpful, communicative and responsive and ensured that all my queries were resolved fully and made sure there were no other issues with our contracts.

Claire

Claire, the agent, was very clear in her description of the choices available. She was constructive but gave me the choice of a few alternative tarriffs. She allowed me to be in control of the final decision.

Disappointing (lack of) service

I signed up to an electric contract with them online. I received the contract via email and replied to correct errors on the contract. Over 3 weeks later and I have not heard anything from them regarding my switch or acknowledging my email.

Interestingly I signed up online because when I spoke to a member of their team they could not offer me the same rate as online!

Very disappointing service.

NOT SCOTTISH POWER

Much the same sending an email from Scottishpower claiming my contract was coming to an end, if you cannot use your own name then it’s a very sad reflection of your company as if the industry isn’t corrupt enough that you have to stoop to even lower levels using another companies email address

Scam?

I am with British Gas and have been for 30 years - yet I received an email saying "Your contract with Octopus Energy is coming to and end - renewing with Watt is easy, et cetera"
This company had even obtained my full name, as well of course, my email address. Very suspicious.
------- Additional note: I emailed Octopus main office to challenge their pretence that I was a customer. Ironically, they replied that they couldn't link my name to an account so could I write again giving my address! I will be contacting the Advertising Standards Authority who look into these sort of scams.

Misrepresent themselves as being from…

Misrepresent themselves as being from your energy supplier. Claimed to be from my current energy supplier. Attempted to pressurise me into agreeing a new energy contract with them at a grossly inflated rate despite my contract not being up for renewal until April next year. Claimed that unless I gave 9 or 12 months notice to change to my current supplier I would be locked into a rolling contract. Spoke to my current supplier who confirmed that they were not calling from them & that I did not need to give such a long notice to them to change supplier or agree a new contract. This company should be prosecuted.
