Running MOT for a Middle Aged Novice Runner
After a false start where the first coach I was paired with didn’t get in touch, I was then paired with Lauren, who was brilliant. She was patient, listened to all my concerns and goals, and matched her coaching session to them perfectly so that everything was addressed in the 90 mins we had together. I feel that she has made a lasting difference to my approach to running, both mentally and physically.
Lee Wilkinson - best run coach you’ll find in London!
I have been training with Lee for over a year now and have absolutely loved every session!
In our initial session Lee taught me how to run correctly and gave me exercises to improve my technique and prevent injury.
Every session we do together is different, enjoyable and is adapted to how I feel and performing on the day. Not only is it technically a great session and my running speed and technique has drastically improved since working with Lee, but he is also one of the kindest people I have met. I always look forward to a good catch up and would be continuing to train with Lee if I wasn’t moving abroad.

The right plan for me
The training plan was just what i needed as someone new to the distance, Alexa listened to my needs and came up with a plan based on what i was able to comit to and led to me completing the event i was targetting (my 1st 50k)

Ieva has been a fantastic coach in helping me develop my running skills and prepare for my half marathon.
She’s taught me valuable techniques—from proper stretching before and after a run, to pacing myself more effectively and avoiding the habit of starting off too fast. I’ve also learned how to improve my posture, lift my knees, and use my arms correctly—especially during those tougher moments in a run.
I highly recommend Ieva to anyone looking to improve their running technique and confidence.

Coach Nigel was very easy to talk to which I appreciated because it was my first time having a coach. His approach works very well with getting to know me and my goals. He was always on time and his encouraging words motivated me. The training sessions were purposeful and I felt a change in my fitness over the weeks.

Short story is I trust in kelvin he massively improved my running. Longer version
I trained with kelvin horner from 0 experience to a decent standard of running, converting from bodybuilding to long distance running was never gonna be easy , especially whilst maintaining muscle and strength training. At 5 foot 10 and 15 stone of decent muscle I managed to complete 4 marathons in one year and several half’s , with kelvin’s help , after one year out to run in chaos I am now revisiting my partnership with kelvin ready to take on a huge 950 miles on foot in 3 weeks challenge April 2026

The training programs provided by Alexa has completely transformed my fitness. Following this has allowed me to barely being able to run a 5k to running a marathon within 16 weeks.
Alexa was able to provide me with professional input and advice when it came to creating my plan, and was very helpful at answering any questions I had along the way.
The information provided along side the training plan was incredibly helpful, which included advice on nutrition, stretching and much more.

Most supportive
I am very happy with my "local running coach". She's an experienced coach and a seasoned marathon runner, but as always, communication is the key thing. She understands what a runner who is over 70 needs, but also what he needs to change in order to be prepared for his marathon later this year, and translates that in practical, well designed exercises. Very supportive.
Brilliant all round!
From start to finish the process has been great. Easy to follow, informative with clear communication. Andy was fantastic - flexible with booking the session, kept me in the loop leading up the session and on the day was helpful, informative and has already helped me to implement things into my running and fitness. I would highly recommend the We Run service and specifically call out Andy as being exceptional!
