Through Transcend, Nazia wants to revitalize artforms that she grew up with in India, to empower not just her customers but also her artisans by giving their art a global platform. Transcend is a slow and thoughtful brand that blends timeless silhouettes with traditional art forms. Transcend's line of ethically produced dresses feature sustainable fabrics, timeless fit, unique details and of course pockets in each dress and skirt. We believe art and fashion should transcend through time, tradition, convention and geography making it accessible for all. Transcend is a celebration of womanhood in all its forms. Who we are and what we make is rooted in generations of textile embroidery and print traditions. OUR STORY Transcend was born out of a desire for a more global, representative, and inclusive fashion. I grew up in India where fashion wasn’t a luxury for few. As a teenager growing up in India, I designed her own wardrobe made from the beautiful chiffon, silk, and linen fabrics that my mother had purchased from street vendors at the local bazaar. It was a unique and personalized way to express myself. I channel my own melting-pot experience of carrying forward my Indian roots into my now-American life, by fusing it into my brand and collections. I do this by respecting tradition and transforming it to fit a modern woman’s needs. At Transcend, women find pockets in every dress and classic silhouette that don’t require any fuss. Artistic elements such as unique colors, embroidery styles, prints, and dyeing techniques make up Transcend's signature aesthetic. Each piece is designed thoughtfully and tells the story of the art and the artisan behind it. OUR ETHOS § Polyester free sustainable materials that don't pollute § Sustainable Packaging § No inventory waste § Ethical supply chain § Living wages § 2% revenue sharing with artisans § Inclusive sizes § Inclusive model representation § Diversity in supply chain
