My 4-year-old Tempest has been solid…
My 4-year-old Tempest has been solid until the temperature/humidity sensor started failing last month. I opened the unit (very easy and clearly modular: cables on plugs) and emailed support with photos asking to purchase a replacement T/H module. The reply: they don’t send replacement parts, but could discount a new head if I provide an invoice. Even with the discount, that’s still ~£160–£170 for a full replacement when the only issue is a single sensor board. I appreciate the product design and the quick response, but the no-parts policy is disappointing and environmentally wasteful. I’d much prefer a paid repair or the option to buy the sensor module. Please reconsider your parts policy—many of us would rather repair than replace.
