I had lunch today at Wetherspoons Lord…

I had lunch today at Wetherspoons Lord Palmerston 84-90 Palmerston Road Southsea Portsmouth between 12.30 and 13,00hrs. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Breast Burger with Chips plus a white wine. The chips were served over cooked and crunchy. I was unable to eat the chips. The chicken burger hardly had any lettuce or onion. The chicken burger had a snippet of luttuce and less than 1/4 of an onion ring. Most disappointing. I took a photo of it to show what l was served. I will not be eating at Whetherspoons again. PS the glass of wine was fine! I would not recommend this meal.

Weatherspoons Buxton discrimination

On 10/05/2026 I went to Buxton Weatherspoons beer garden with my assistance dog. As I entered the beer garden a staff member loudly and publicly in front of other customers refused my dog entry to the beer garden, I explained I'm disabled and my dog is an assistance dog, he said we need proof you're disabled, I showed him my disabled card, and he said I'll have to get my manager to check your card a women came over, looked at my disabled card and said I need proof for your dog, I said I can't understand why I can't come in with my assistance dog they said we need proof it's new company policy. I was so flustered and was struggling to find my assistance dogs digital registration card on my phone, they said you'll have to leave it's policy from head office. The other customers in the beer garden were watching like I'd committed a crime, l was so embarrassed and walked away very upset by their out right discrimination and rude treatment!

This is to thank The King's Fee Hereford, a place everyone should visit.
It is the most non judgemental place of safety in Hereford and beyond.
I can not thank you enough for providing us all with a refillable coffee for £1.33.
The food is always great and just what I need.
Thank you kindly.

Terrible experience at The Bluff…

Terrible experience at The Bluff Wetherspoons. Didn’t have either of my items requested one being Fish and Chips and other being Ice cream. Ordered ham, egg chips. Luke warm and thin papery supermarket ham. Extortionate car parking fee for an evening out. Won’t be going again and have been using The Bluff for years.

Weatherspoons York the postern gate

Weatherspoons York the postern gate
Drinks ordered,25mins later they arrived, pub not very busy at this time, staff aimlessly walking round trying to look busy, second round ordered 35 minute wait and to be fair an apology was given, we ordered food with drinks and food arrived after 20 minutes or so but no drinks, after food had been consumed we asked a manager where our drinks are, to be told the drinks are on their way with no apologies, after 40 minutes of waiting for drinks, I approached the duty manager to ask about our drinks not arriving and explained the situation which was replied with we are busy and come with me to the bar and I will refund with again no apologies and the comment it’s not my money and refunded the full amount with again no apology. Extremely poor service and a don’t give a shxt attitude which I have never experienced from a weatherspoons before. If I could give a zero for customer service I would, food and drink otherwise perfect.

Weatherspoon Maidenhead is very good

Weatherspoon Maidenhead is very good. Ladies and male staff very good. Only one person, KIM. A slim lady no smile, always anrgy. She will never smile. She walks fast always, not happy with here job. One day, she pointed at me and said you need to leave. It was 00:01. An eldelry man was sitting next to me. She did not say a word to him, but only me.

I was in the pub the other day, with my daughter. She ordered food at 2030. Kim , a very resist woman orderd my daughter out of the pub at 2046 instead of 2100. There were otherw children. check the cameras at that time.

We are your customers. My wife loves weatherspoon. But becoz of Kim the person you made a manager, Kim, you are going to loose many customers.

I will never go there again if Kim works there. She is not a customer person and and I wonder how she got that position as manager.

Troll Cart in Great Yaremouth lets Weatherspoons down

We love Weatherspoons and have been delighted with the places we have visited all over the country. So much so we have even bought shares.
However, the Troll Cart in Great Yarmouth was awful. On Sunday at 5.30 all of the empty tables were full of plates with left over food and a large area of the bar had crates of dirty glasses
The tables and floor were dirty and the whole place was a mess It even smelt stale.
If staffing is a problem it needs sorting out quickly
We didn’t trust that the food would be edible or hygienic given the lack of care taken about the place so had to leave .
So sad.

Wow another bad management

Wow another bad management. I was in Blackpool today, and it's been several episodes in Blackpool mind you the staff quality here is bad. 8am. Manager was eating his meal in public, staff member an Irish guy had a bad attitude on like he didn't really want to serve. I see customer service in UK is at an all time low.

Weatherspoon Maidenhead

Ooh talking of Sam, I know this lady, always smiling and energetic. I give her 5* as well.

She served me one day and I made a joke that if we combine your short trips in this weatherspoon, you probably got to Liverpool and we loved. Sam is a great assert and a crowd puller to weatherspoon. The bosses must be proud of her.

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED…

I visited the new flagship Wetherspoons the Bluff Inn at Hayle in the far Southwest today 14/04/2026. I am resident in Cornwall and I bring a lot of visitors to this part world every year for holidays. Unfortunately I have just experienced the worst service in dealing with a very simple request to rectify a simple food order problem. I ordered on the app and paid 15.70p for simple fish and chips including an alcoholic drink and bread & butter. I believed I had paid for a standard classic size portion but when it came to the table I received a small portion which costs £12.39p plus £1.55p for bread and butter. This would cost £13.94p. The dish I paid for was on the classic pub menu for £13.59p plus £1.55p totaling actually £15.14p. I had paid £15.70p this doesn't add up? Anyway I asked to speak to the manager a girl called Kyla and explained I thought I had ordered the standard fish & chips according to the amount I paid. I was informed that according to my receipt it showed a small portion was input. I asked her to either replace it with a normal size portion or refund my money. This is were it got a bit silly she wanted to argue the point and issue with me. This is the first error in the Restaurant Management manual never argue with customers epecially when they have already paid. She actually went on for the next 10 minutes and actually asked me to access my calculator on my fone as she could not add it up and calculate the exact amounts involved. We did and she acknowledged that the order was wrong and I had paid for the classic standard size not small. Unfortunately this took 20 minutes of two-ing and fro-ing to get her to understand my issue with the order. She couldn't and didn't know how to rectify a very simple request to replace the dish. Odear Odear this is a Wetherspoons and the service was the worst I ever had we were arguing the point which seemed like a lifetime. Clearly this girl should not be the Restaurant Manager she was completely incompetent and didn't know how to deal with this situation. I asked for my money and left in a huff ! Don't go to this venue at the moment as the management don't know what they are doing it has only been a Wetherspoons for a couple of weeks. My family have always been involved in hospitality and Hotel and Restaurant management. You would expect any food outlet to recognise a simple descrepancy in an order and just rectify it. The Manager at Wethespoons in Hayle was clueless she said it must be a glitch in the app you often only realise how good a company is until there is a problem. Won't visit again and will inform my customers not to use it either. A simple miscalculation can cost a company £000.

The Boot

The Boot - Burnley

The Boot- Burnley. Got a meal with a soft drink was charged for it and put tea and confirmed on the net. Drink didn’t come so went to bar spoke to manager who told me there was no drink on it even though I confirmed it. Had to pay another £1.85 to get a tea. Said they couldn’t change order once it was closed. Worst pub I go in, takes forever to get served and staff are miserable. On a sat night 5-10 of us go out and it takes forever to get served because they serve tables first whether or not we were there first. Won’t be going in anymore they are ignorant

The Lion & the Unicorn Waterloo Station does Faulty Towers.

Ordered a chicken burger with BBQ sauce expecting chips with it. Solitary sad looking chicken burger arrived cold. I asked waitress where the chips were and she agreed it should come with chips however strangely said she will get the manager. I would have thought she was more than able to get the chips and not involved management in such a benign matter.

Manager came out and said your chicken burger only comes with a salad. He went and got a salad. I asked if he could reheat the cold burger which he refused. He refused to give me the chips. He then took the burger and salad away leaving me with just the pint the meal deal came with. He periodically paced past my table antagonistically asking me if I was alright and when I asked where my meal was he switched his security camera on and when I said I did not want to speak with him he switched the camera off.

Disappointed experience

I visited Wetherspoons The Navigation in Kings Norton Birmingham on Wednesday 18.03.26 and ordered the Wednesday Pizza Deal. I ordered an additional topping of mushrooms that cost £1. When the pizza arrived I was astonished to find only a minute amount of mushrooms on top. Less than half a mushroom.

Dogs unwelcome even outside!

Went to visit the waterworks pub in Sheffield for a drink as it was a nice day I’m a young single female but had my dog with me so thought I’d be brave and sit outside with the dog I ordered my drink and a water for my dog after the drinks arrived the manager came out to ask me to leave as no dogs!! I’m sat outside in a town centre! A druggie homeless person was sat begging right by the door but they weren’t asked to move! I was so upset and embarrassed and I want to know a reason!

Every Sunday evening my friends and I…

Every Sunday evening my friends and I visit the Chevalier pub in Exeter, but over the last couple of months the experience has become increasingly frustrating. On multiple occasions when we’ve gone in, there has been no draught beer available at all.

What’s even more disappointing is the attitude of the staff and management. When we’ve asked about it, the staff appear completely uninterested and the management seem even less concerned. There’s been no effort to explain the issue or reassure customers that it’s being resolved.

I also contacted the company directly to raise the problem, but unsurprisingly I never received a reply. That level of customer service speaks volumes.

A pub that regularly has no draught beer and shows little concern about it is clearly failing its customers. It feels as though they’re happy to take people’s money but not provide the basic service you would expect from a pub.

Because of this, from next week our group will be taking our custom elsewhere. Given how often this happens and the lack of response from staff or the company, I’m genuinely surprised the place is still going.
