Absolutely disgusting customer service

Absolutely disgusting customer service, they are not interested. I bought the new style camping card and motorhome pitches €40, beware this does not come with a mini atlas so you have no idea where the campsites are. You can purchase the app for a further charge but if you do not have internet access on the move this is useless. Wasted €40, customer service suggested I return it but I had to pay the postage £18.
Never again .

BEWARE OF THEIR NO REFUND POLICY WHEN PURCHASING THEIR APPS
I purchased and installed the ACSI Campsite Europe app in error. On discovering my mistake I downloaded the correct app, Camping Card ACSI. Despite having purchased and registered the printed version and also the app, they refuse a refund on the incorrect app which is of no use whatsoever to anyone owning a motorhome. Apparantly you sign away your rights when you download from them.

As can be seen from their response they have learned nothing from similar customer complaints regarding refunds and have zero understanding of customer service and satisfaction. I guess ACSI's business slogan should read "Our way or the highway"

Avoid this company or be careful when taking out a subscription

I bought a subscription in the late summer for a trip to the Netherlands in October. I presumed that I would get some sort of communication asking if I wanted to renew next year. Imagine my horror to find that I have been charged for a 2026 subscription with no warning and on asking for a refund I have been told that the subscription still stands. Moreover with a possible life threatening illness and a poor experience with ACSI in the Netherlands anyway I have no intention of going abroad again and using this company's products.
According to ACSI today a lot of people are in the same boat but all they want to do is make money not look after their customers.
Lesson cancel your subscription before the beginning of October if you don't want to be charged
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Cancellation

Automatically renew even after cancelled membership online. Surprisingly they had no record of it . Customer service chats online are atrocious . Stay away there are fantastic camping sites abroad and there is no need for joining these crooks .

Read the small print to avoid being repeatedly charged

Similar to other reviews, they take an annual fee without any notification. Whilst the card itself will save you on campsite fees, their customer service is appalling, I get English is not their first language but my experience today was erring on rude, my payment was still pending and they refused to refund me. It’s buried in the small print somewhere that they will take membership fee annually unless cancelled in advance.
Avoid!.

I should have read the reviews first!

Your GPS directions to San Sebastian campsite were wrong. Took us to a dead end and we ended up doing some damage to our campervan when trying to get out of a very tight spot. I complained, I asked for you to pay for the damages and I got a standard reply saying they are all too busy to respond!! I chased this up twice and you are now ignoring me. This is a disgrace, especially when people are abroad and looking for your assistance.

Also, the one time we used the service we ended up having to get upgraded as the pitch reserved for ASCII cardholders were for the cheapest of cheap seats!

One star given here is too generous your customer service is appalling.

Avoid this app

This app has the following issues. 1 no Acsi price just the standard price. 2 the app does not link to the book. 3 they auto renew your subscription without indicating it. 4 customer service is dreadful. 5 you cannot get a refund if it doesn't work

I was notified that my membership had…

I was notified that my membership had been renewed which I did not want. Rang their customer service line to be told that there was nothing they would do for this year and could only cancel it for next year. I told them I could not recall anything telling me it was due for renewal and he told me it was when I renewed last year. I feel scammed! Certainly won't use them in the future if I go back to off peak camping.

Money taken without permission

I am having the same problem. ACSI have renewed my subscription, taking money from my account without notifying me until afterwards. I didn't even know I had a subscription when I applied for the card. I won't be travelling abroad next year so don't need it again. I have sent lots of e mails asking for a refund. but they won't budge. Terrible, fraudulent company. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible Customer Services

Terrible experience with their customer services and seems rather fraudulent and sneaky to me. They took money out of my account for a subscription I didn’t realise I had. They also took it out 3 months before the ‘subscription’ ended, not giving me notice to cancel. I contacted customer services and they have so far ignored me and told me they are not continuing the conversation on chat when I tried that. I would recommend staying away from this company. When I went to France this Summer, I had no problems with all the non ACSI campsites.

Really really bad customer service

I ordered the card and books in plenty of time for it to be delivered before my trip €30. It didn't arrive so I contacted ACSI and their rep Hector advised me to purchase the digital card another €17.95 and I would be refunded on my return. When I phoned I was told I had to return the parcel before they could refund me. £13.35 postage. One month later the parcel comes back with a Dutch return to sender label. I am told without a postal receipt still no refund. I emailed proof of posting, the address label I sent it to and the return to sender label to which Hector replied it still had my address on that's why it came back. The only visible label showing my address is the customs label. The main issue here is they did not get it to me on time in the first instance> THIER FUALT NOT MINE!!!

I purchased my ACSI Books in November…

I purchased my ACSI Books in November 2023 and then in march they sent me another plastic ID card, which was also charged for, I phoned ACSI to query why the charge for the second card, that actually states on it that it cannot be used for discount, the guy on the phone said it was to replace showing your passport or ID residence card, which is absolutely rubbish. Most camp sites won't accept ACSI cards in the summer months (High Season) anyway. I would urge people not to have any dealings with ACSI, they are money grabbers of the worst kind....and reading other reviews I'm sure there are plenty more unhappy subscribers.

The delivery for U.K poor service

The delivery for U.K. is 15 working days which was no good for me as I was leaving on holiday in a week. I have filled the form to cancel and requested cancellation as per 14 day cooling of period terms and conditions. It said if cancellation form was sent they would cancel and refund. Instead of refunding they say they have already dispatched and I should return it and then they will cancel. I have already left on my holiday so will not be able to send it back within this 14 day period. I will be putting in an official complaint as they should not have dispatched once the order was cancelled. I did this a few hours after placing the order on a Sunday.

I would not trust ACSI

I cannot beleive how inefficient and money-grabbing ACSI is. It is undoubtedly very political and anti British following brexit. it took its time to send me the 2023 card and handbook and as a result i had left for my holiday before the book arrived. I complained to ACSI who told me to return the book for a full refund. I arranged for my son to return the book some weeks ago. I have NOT had a refund despite contacting ACSI on several occasions. Instead, ACSI put the blame firmly on brexit. I cannot beleive that travel company should openly criticise the British political system!!!!!
