Unable to fix. Exceptional Service regardless.

This is a long one, but it's worth it. It shows how Kevin treats his customers.

I found Kevin online and after reading rave reviews (and the odd slightly demented review from
someone who’s unfortunately going through a mental illness crisis) I decided to give him a call after I’d stupidly spilt half a can of Pepsi on my 16 inch MacBook Pro, a laptop I’d paid £1400 for just a few years ago.

He said he’d take a look at it, so I swung by digbeth, dropped it off and was told to return in an hour. went to grab a prescription and returned to some bad news. It needed a bit more TLC to get it working again. Some components had fried(literally; a mini fire). He told me it’ll be £180 all in and to leave it with him.

A few days later I got an update to say he’d fixed the water damage, but unfortunately my screen had been damaged as a result of my own Pepsi incompetence. He sourced a B grade replacement for £120, and I agreed to the £300 total fee; and paid upfront immediately.

Then a week of near hell ensued. 17 hours he told me, of trying to get the new screen to work with the motherboard. He’d fix one problem, then another would arise. A Macbook game of whack-a-mole if you would.

The decision was reluctantly made that the macbook wasn’t salvageable in its current state. It would be cheaper to buy a replacement second hand version of the same laptop.

Incredibly, Kevin insisted on refunding me the £300. I offered a token gesture of £50 and he refused. In the end he accepted, as he should at least of got something for his time, but he was stubborn about it.

He told me 2-3 out of every 50 end up being in repairable unfortunately, it’s the cost of doing business.

This type of transparency is incredibly rare in this capitalistic era.

For a mere £7 he's posting my Macbook back to me, insured, too. Nice of him.

I’m grateful to Kevin, bless him, he tried his hardest. I’m an Apple fanboy; any issues in future I will be using him. I’ll be telling this story to my friends who also have Apple products as a glowing endorsement for Kevin’s work ethic and practices.

The positive reviews you hear are all real. You have my word.

Until next time Kevin, I wish you and your business the very best.

Five star company

My Mac was completely dead after some water damage but needed all my files saved. Another company told me it was irrepairable and could not retrieve my data.. I rang wefixmacs situated in the custard factory, Digbeth. I spoke to the owner Kevin and he asked me to bring it straight in. As I work in the city it was easy and convenient for me to take it straight to him. I left it with him to retrieve my data and within an hour he emailed me to let me the problem and he would be able to actually fix my machine for a price that I was very happy with. Within three hours I had collected. Excellent advice and service. Highly recommend for any tech to be repaired
