CANCELLING your subscription

Respectfully the cancellation policy is awful. People should have the flexiblity to cancel at any time. Sometimes we think we will use something for a year and then don't. We should be able to cancel at anytime especially if all we are using is an app. I have never once visited a WW location, i have only used the app to log my food and i did that in the first 2 (maybe 3) months of the plan. I've been paying for the past 6 -7 months . I cncelled my account but till paying for something i NEVER use. $26.25 may not seem a lot but for someone on a budget it is a lot

Poor customer service. Beware of auto renewal and free month plans

I was charged for a first month renewal of a plan I discontinued. I assumed checking discontinue or no auto renewal would be enough to stop the program and automatic billing. I was surprised, then that I was charged for the month of January as my contract ended in December. Getting to a live agent was a serious hurdle. First, I sent an email to three different email addresses listed on the site. One of them bounced back with the message that it did not respond to emails. The other two did not respond to my inquiry about why I was being billed. Then I tried to call on the number listed on the website. It's completely automated - press 1 for
.. with recorded answers. There is no number to press to connect you with a live agent. Finally, I directed my question to the 24/7 coach. I soon realized that this is an AI virtual assistant. The response I got was that I could cancel the subscription. But any discussion about a refund would have to be addressed by a live agent who would available during certain hours. So I called the next day during working hours. The phone number again only offered a menu with recorded responses and no opportunity to talk to a live agent. So, I opened the 24/7 coach chat. I explained problem and I got nowhere for the first 5 minutes because the agent seemed to not understand what I was asking for and kept repeating what I already knew about my account. I asked three times if this was a live agent. Finally, the agent said she was live. By the time the agent actually took the time to look up my account to address it, I was stressed. I said this was making me cookies. In the end the agent said the only communication to the company was from last night and the account was canceled but they would not refund the first month that I was billed. She said I would be able to access the account until February 4. However, she canceled it even though I said leave it up there until it runs out and said I would be refunded a portion of the month. I did not ask for to do that or agree to that. In fact I said leave it then, maybe I can download some recipes with the time that I have left on my account. Instead she deleted my account. I guess they didn't want me to have access to their recipesm I now have a refund of $26 as opposed to a full refund which would have been $63.I'm not complaining about the program itself. I am complaining about the customer service which is difficult at best and non-existent at worst. Also, beware of the auto renewal fine print. I would advise anyone to use this program with caution. Not because of the program but because of the customer service and the enforced contract monthly billing plans. When you sign up for a plan, you will be billed until the contract runs out. Even if you cancel it months before. And they will offer you a promotion free month. Don't do that. It means you've signed up for auto renewal, month to month at full price. If you want to renew it, be sure to sign another contract. Do it in January when they offer specials.
