Extremely long hours with little notice and poor work-life balance. It often felt like we were expected to drop everything for the job.
• Management was disorganized and lacked communication. Shift patterns changed last-minute, and any concerns raised were often ignored or brushed off.
• Very little training provided. New employees were thrown into work without proper guidance, leading to stress and mistakes.
• The work environment was fast-paced to the point of being unsafe at times, especially during peak periods.
• Favoritism was clear — certain employees received better treatment and opportunities than others without explanation.

The stars don’t reflect the produce supplied over the past year (plus) that I had been using Wellocks, which I thought was excellent, (although some items were too ripe at times!), the star reflects the demise of service since hospitality reopened and the increasingly limited offer available. The estate dairy butter and cracklebean eggs were weekly treats, and now the eggs have been replaced with the same eggs available in every supermarket. Products can now only be supplied in “curated” boxes, so no longer able to buy what you want. The search is now on to find an alternative and I really hope we don’t go back into any lockdowns as I think Wellocks may be disappointed they have lost their loyal fans which kept them going.

Wellocks fruit and veg was excellent, we had a weekly box throughout lockdown and produce was always fresh with plenty in each box £18 Inc delivery. They changed the way they worked a few months ago , and there was a hiccup with quality for a a couple of weeks but it was sorted. However as we have come out of lockdown restrictions Wellocks have changed again perhaps due packager/delivery /coming from one central depot or hospitality industry needing being supplied, and there was a 3 week break in service. Now delivery is by DHL, and there is lots more packaging ..even if it is decomposable, it isn't great. I can understand why the business has done this, as there are economies of scale, and produce to arrive unbruised, I will continue for the next month and see how it goes, as it's a faff changing suppliers. I am still in shock after receiving a mail to tell me that my weekly order has been cancelled due to supply issues. I have become very reliant on Wellocks for quality ingredients and although I realise an odd item may not be available, I never expected the whole order to be cancelled. Although I received a mail advising a refund, I cannot find any information on why supply has been an issue. I also couldn’t reply to the email sent from the team. I am extremely disappointed as I have had excellent service until now

Ordered edible flowers with plenty of notice to make a wedding cake. Was emailed the day they were supposed to be delivered at 4pm to say they were not available and that I would be getting a refund. Terrible service, would advise people against using them!

Ordered 5 jars of Zhatar in oil from them and instead they sent me 4 jars of Zhoug. I completed an online complaint form and also emailed them but got no response. What a rip-off!

Update: they did give me a full refund of the 5 jars ... so that was good service. The question is what do I do with 4 jars of Zhoug?

I have had a love hate relationship with Wellocks for some time. When they get it right, they are excellent but often they do not get it right. I have particular issues with the quality of the fresh produce. In nearly every box there is something that is passed it’s best and has to be binned. If you send a photo and complain then you get a refund but this is a nuisance as you are left without the products for your meal. Today I opened a packet of tomatoes which was delivered on Friday. They were squashed, mouldy and unusable. I’ve had pears, citrus, mange tout amongst other products that have gone into the bin. The meat is good as are the chilled products - though the chilled products sometimes have very short use by dates. The bread and cakes when offered are usually stale. The hot cross buns were particularly disappointing. I will not be ordering Wellocks produce again.

Wow!! I ordered the brunch box as well as hot cross buns and a white bloomer. The products are of such high quality! The box is very good value for money, it’s everything you want for a brunch and more! Highly recommend to anyone.

How happy I have been to finally find a serious food delivery service. Especially during this lockdown you have been my lifeline. Your fruit & vegetable boxes have been superb, full of fresh goodies, & some unknown. Your delivery times have been on time & your delivery personnel polite & smiling. I ordered two separate brunch boxes which set me back £58 not including the delivery. Which I am happy to pay, as the attraction was the fact it was something different that you wouldn't be able to buy from a supermarket.

My order, everything was fine. Nothing wowed me. Overall, I wouldn't buy again as it wasn't anything special.

The second order, which was a gift for mothers day arrived at my mams house the day after I received mine. All was fine bar the fact they replaced the little homemade jars of brown sauce with hp sauce. Are you kidding me? £30 for a breakfast and not only are heinz beans included (which it states) but you then put hp sauce in with the order. What is annoying is the price and not including items that are meant to be in the order with low quality items that I could go to the shop and get for £1.

Next time I'll go to my local farmers market and build my own box.

You say your charge that as they are speciality items but they aren't. Nothing wowed me, I've found better sausages in the supermarket. No, substitutes are not acceptable without notice, had I known I would have looked elsewhere. Overall I would not use Wellocks again and I highly recommend you go to a local farmers market instead, you will save money too.

Have ordered over 10 boxes of groceries with Wellocks during this extended lockdown period and they've all been fab. Deliveries are always prompt and boxes are compact to reduce cardboard use but they pack SO MUCH in them! Really thrilled with the quality of the produce and plan to stick with them. Definitely recommended!

Superior quality and taste. The fruit selection is superior quality as well as the vegetable selection box.. The lavender honey is devine and also the elderflower cordial. The taste selection of limes, chillies, ginger and garlic is superb. Highly recommended this company.

Wellocks arrived this morning right on time and it looks wonderful. The juice is super delicious, the meat looks great and I appreciated the gift of eggs as well for brunch on Saturday morning. I would definitely recommend!

Best of 3 such services I've tried. Only gripe is the alternative suppliers have a wider selection. That said, the alternative suppliers have been not as good as Wellocks (quality, freshness etc), so Wellocks wins!

Comparison with others aside, Wellocks produce is high quality, fresh, and the deliveries reliable (over 10+ orders since May 20). Prices can be better than supermarket, if you choose wisely.

Absolutely fantastic produce. Lovely to have variety every week. Will only use Wellocks now for all my vegetables, fruit, cheese and particularly wild mushrooms which are exquisite. Thank you for providing such a fantastic service. Great that they come without plastic on majority of veg so helps environmental footprint.

Where is my receipt and where is my order??

No emai acknowledgement from Wellock to conform my order or that I've paid.

My bank statement says it was debited on Jan 1st 2021 for the amount of 33 pounds.

Wellocks shows as a registered computer hardware store business is this a scam??

Everything I have had from Wellocks at Home has arrived fresh and has made me try new things. Any issues I have had have been dealt with promptly and politely. I wouldn't go anywhere else

Absolutely fantastic. Been using for a few months (weekly box plus occasional extra items) and never had any problems. Incredibly helpful staff, lovely produce and I'm getting my cooking mojo back. Thank you to all at Wellocks, now my dad is getting a box too!

I placed my first order with Wellocks and became a bit weary after seeing some of the reviews. I ordered a Christmas vegetable box and a ham. It arrived early this morning and I am delighted and relieved. Great quality products, informed about order times. Great value considering the quality of the products. Also plenty in the box which is great. Will definately use again. Nothing to fault from me.
