Excellent customer service & support.

I've been a customer with a Wells Fargo checking account for over 20 years now. I've always received excellent customer service, mostly with representatives on a phone call. But in person at a local branch as well.

If I could give them -1000 I would

If I could give them -1000 I would. For the last 5 plus years I cannot transfer money from my business checking to my personal checking over the phone. I can't do it myself and I can't talk to an "agent" who will do it. I have to physically go into a branch in 2026 to get the transfer done. They have had years to fix it and they cannot. Each time I tell them there is an issue they tell they can't see any issue. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. These are the most incompetent people around and this bank is the WORST any place, anywhere. I cannot take this nonsense anymore. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY ACCOUNT WITH THIS AWFUL BANK!!!!!

Worst bank ever

I have been a Wells Fargo customer for over 20 years, and now out of the blue, Wells Fargo has decided to close my bank account for “security reasons.” What an absolute joke. I do not recommend banking with them.

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever…

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. This place is a complete mess. I was a victim of identity theft, with at least two accounts fraudulently opened in my name. When I called to report and close the accounts, I was transferred around seven times before reaching anyone who could actually help, and I spent over two hours on hold and still couldn't get through.

After repeatedly expressing my frustration, one agent finally helped route me to someone who could cancel the credit card account. Even then, getting through to the fraud department felt nearly impossible. I later spoke with someone in checking to close the checking account as well, after being transferred another three times. They eventually gave me a case number but could not confirm whether the fraud investigation applied only to the checking account or also to the credit card account. That means I may have to call back and repeat this entire ordeal just to resolve the credit card fraud with the credit card fraud department.

This bank is a bureaucratic nightmare. Maybe 20% of the people I spoke with genuinely tried to help, about 10% actively made the situation more frustrating, and the remaining 70% simply passed me along to someone else, often to the wrong department. Avoid this bank at all cost.

Wells Fargo should not be allowed to…

Wells Fargo should not be allowed to operate as they do, their "security" seems to invite fraud attempts more than any financial institution I deal with. Their customer service sucks when trying to "unravel" mysteries associated with fraud attempts. The have a history of "letting it happen" and then freezing your account rather than setting safeguards in place to alert customers. Latest attempt at fraud included someone attempting to apply for a home improvement application using my card number. The attempt got all the way to a credit check and the first I knew about it was when they sent me a notice saying my application had been denied.

I have been with this bank for the last 15+ years, and now they have changed their account maintenance to require a minimum balance of $1000; if not, there is a monthly charge of $10. It's ridiculous how these banks operate and exhibit such greed. I will be closing my accounts with them.

FAILURE AS "FIDUCIARY" OF GOVERNMENT BACKED LOAN MODIFICATION & MANAGEMENT OF LOCK BOX

I banked with Wachovia from 1983 until 2010 and NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE until they were bought by Wells Fargo.
I had multiple bad experiences with Wells who took over one of the best banks in the nation, Wachovia, who was focused on service. My first experience with Wells involved banker suggesting that I consolidate my business accounts to lockbox which by then had been moved to another bank. Of the $11,000 collected on our behalf over 2 months, $0.00 WAS MADE AVAILABLE TO US as it was ALL CHARGED OFF TO BANK FEES.
Secondly, my home was financed through "World Mortgage" with a variable interest loan, though the broker assured me the interest rate would follow the prime". This broker took 2% origination fee, though 0.5% was all that was allowed.
World continually increased the bi-monthly payment sometimes $2-300/payment. My banker said to short the payment and apply for a modification. I applied 5 times for a loan modification. I had $200K cash in the house, showed a good income and little or no debt.
Wells response, "you qualified using your income but your C Corporation losses lowered your income such that you do not qualify." C Corp losses are not passed through to the principal and should have never been submitted
Though they would modify the loan for me at "payoff", they sold it for the amount owed when I stopped paying on the home ($300K less than they wanted to refi for me).

Wells Fargo is neither a fiduciary, nor a trustworthy holder of corporate nor individual funds.
PLEASE NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS.
Crooks don't wear capes and masks but they should!!

Wells Fargo's False Foreclosure & Inaccurate Late Payment Reports Block Medical Care

Wells Fargo is severely damaging my credit with false information and refusing to correct it fully. They reported a "Foreclosure Started" on my credit report, which is completely untrue—the property was sold in a standard sale, proven by HUD documents.

After I disputed it, they created more inaccuracies. The false foreclosure is still on my TransUnion report, and on other reports they changed it to an equally false "120 days past due" status. The loan was paid in full.

This inaccurate reporting has dropped my credit score over 150 points, directly blocking me from securing housing for a medically necessary trip. It's an ongoing crisis.

I have filed a formal, evidence-backed complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) detailing these violations and demanding:

1. Correction to "Paid in Full / Closed" on all bureaus.

2. A rapid rescore to update my FICO score immediately.

3. Written confirmation.

As a major lender, Wells Fargo has the ability to fix this quickly but is choosing not to. This is reckless and harmful. Avoid unless you want your financial health jeopardized by their errors.

Believe me they're very polite professionals at that place, and I will came back there and also recommend others to them.

Believe me, I went at Wells Fargo --- the flushing branch in Brooklyn which located between Flushing avenue and Navy st, and when I get there I feel so impressed how the employees and management came to me and makes me feel like a millionaire, and it was only a connection visiting to this bank, at first time and first impression... That day, I see the confidence that they have and the attention, they bring to customers and in addition I received, one invitation to open account there, and I was just only for to make a payment, for their Client in Florida...

Note: "Was a good experience with them, if I can compare with other Financial Institutions, that I had rare experiences before!"

Thanks, 🙏

I have money in my account to pay my capital one and other bills. Wellsfargo wouldn't pay my bill and denied to make payment for no reason whatsoever. I have proof showing my money in my account. I believe, Wellsfargo thought that, I wouldn't notice so they could steal my money as they've done other customer's account.
These people rather open fake accounts and scam their customers with their uncouth, ill-bred unprofessional workers behavior. Wellsfargo has so many lawsuit and always in the new for their fraudulent behavior is sad. I wish everyone would close their accounts with them and move to a credit union for better rates! They're taking our money and making more money. People close your account and go to another bank. Wellsfargo would only change their name to another bank, so be careful.

Closed Account. No warning.

I had a Health Advantage account through Wells Fargo, limit of 2400, they closed the count with zero communication cause they ended the program, screwing up my credit utilization rate entirely due to current debt issues I'm facing, this has not reflected on my score yet but I'm now expecting a harsh drop after spending the last year trying to pay stuff off.
