I would like to share my experience with this real estate agency. At first, I was only looking to rent a place, but they really surprised me. With their helpful advice and guidance, I realized that even with my low income, buying a home could actually be possible. They were very kind, patient, and professional. They send new available houses to your phone. They take care of the details and arrange the deeds and any extra reports you need. I found the package including makelaar to be cheaper than if I were to arrange everything by myself.

Our experience with WeLocate has been extremely disappointing and stressful.

We contacted them to purchase our first home. The very first property they presented to us — and personally recommended — turned out to be a scam. The agency employee connected to this property was later arrested, which confirmed the seriousness of the situation. Shockingly, WeLocate did not address or resolve this issue for five months, leaving us in uncertainty and distress.

As first-time buyers, we relied on their professional guidance and trusted that the properties introduced through their service were legitimate and properly verified. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

After discovering that the property was fraudulent, we informed them that we no longer had confidence in their services. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they demanded a €212 cancellation fee to terminate the contract.

We have refused to pay this fee, as it is completely unjustified to charge a cancellation fee when the only property presented was a scam. Despite this, we continue to experience pressure to pay the €212, which has caused additional stress.

We strongly believe that greater responsibility, faster action, and proper verification procedures are necessary to protect future buyers from similar experiences.

My wife and I recently moved to Amsterdam and were looking for our first apartment.
