An amazing team and service provided at such a difficult time. Charlotte in particular helped and guided us through what was needed with compassion and care. We never plan on using the services but unfortunately we all have to at some point of another. I am very happy to recommend the entire team to everyone and Charlotte is an utter diamond thank you.

From the initial phone call through to the after care following Dad's funeral, Richard has been a great support and help to our family.
He was caring, thoughtful and professional throughout.
I write this from the perspective of a grieving son but also as a Priest who officiated at his father's funeral, so meetings and conversations with Richard were from both contexts.
Richard could not have been more helpful.
He came to visit us in my parents home and listened well to what we were saying and he really took on board what the family wanted for Dad's funeral and all of his comments and suggestions were thought through, caring and helpful.
My wife had always cut Dad's hair in recent years and Richard allowed us to come to the funeral home so she could cut Dad's hair one last time.
When we as a family came to visit Dad in the Chapel of Rest, we could see that Richard had taken real care of Dad, which was a real comfort to Mum when we came to see Dad one last time.
Working with Richard planning the funeral from a Priest's perspective was so easy, he was helpful and always doubled checked everything, he was easy to contact and was in regular contact relating to the order of service and funeral arrangements.
On the day of Dad's funeral, Richard was kind and compassionate with our family. He was helpful with organising the neighbours and relatives cars which were following the hearse ensuring they all kept together.
Richard led the hearse out of the estate (which my parents had lived for nearly 50 years) on foot and with the utmost respect and dignity.
He led the family into the Park Crematorium and ensured that all ran smoothly and then drove us as a family to the funeral wake in Plympton St Maurice.
Many friends and family commented and how kind and professional Richard was on the day. My Uncle described him as 'a real treasure' and I would certainly echo this as did the rest of our family.
The death of a loved one in the family is a very painful time, however the kindness, professional and care that Richard gave to us as family and the love and respect he showed to Dad is something we will never forget. He was a real friend at a time of great sadness to our family.
We as a family would have no hesitation to recommend him and Westcountry Funeral Service to anyone.
