Worst decision I've made choosing this company. Awful brick work, regulations not adhered to so work continuously needed to be addressed. Huge issue that none of the workers spoke English so we had difficulty communicating with them, as did the building inspector. Initial telescopic ventilation was not correct, advised by inspector to change. It is now 2 months since they left as we have damp on the walls and mould growing and damp on the walls.
Initially felt we had been lied to regarding the building application as told they could not do due to conflict of interest. After we were given a bill of over 1k from a third party, we decided to do the application ourselves. When issues arose, WMDG took on the application, so apparently there was not a conflict.
There were huge, unnecessary delays, including nearly 1 month when no work was completed. Our premises were also left unsecured on more than one occasion.
Terrible workmanship, when complained to director Pav, we were told there is a tolerance allowed for brick work. This is shocking as it looks like a complete novice has done it. Plaster finish to meet existing room was awful. Floor uneven.
Extension has been built with more glass than building regs allow. The company were advised of this by the council in February and told amendments were required. They were not made, nor were we informed of this issue.
Photos speak volumes to the abysmal quality.
Sent a detailed complaint to the company in mid May, and have yet to have the issues addressed or any response.
We will now need to do remedial work to address the damp.

Good job - would use again

We used West Midlands Double glazing to construct an orangery, after receiving quotes from other companies in the area these stood out for being one of the most competitive. They have done a superb job from start to finish through the whole of the process . Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. The workmen were friendly,hardworking and excellent at their trade. One very happy customer.

West Midlands Double Glazing built my extention. From beginning to end they where professional, the work is of a high standard and nothing was an issue.
They always cleaned up after themselves. Will definitely recommend them.

Recommend highly! We had a large extension and utility room built by WMDG, including knocking out supporting walls. We wanted a slightly unusual design of 2 gable ended glass roofs. Pav spent a lot of time sitting down with us going through the designs and calculations. The build process was extremely quick. The builders are hard working, even in bad weather. The team handled everything for us including structural engineer and building control etc which was a huge weight off our shoulders. They have their own builders (not subcontracted) so once they started, they worked continuously until the project was complete. The final result is stunning!

A contrast of good and not so good. The final job was a good one and looks like what we hoped for, however it was a bit of a battle to get each stage of the work done and needed a lot of chasing. The team itself were all pleasant and polite but needed a push to finish the work.

Pav and his team were very professional.
Excellent service and amazing product. Highly recommended.
Added a great space to the house

We decided to use this company in feb/march 2021. Pav came gave an honest upfront chat and sales pitch, sounded like a breeze and a straight forward job.
After deposit was paid we heard nothing, we had to chase and chase, the people in the office needs to learn customer service and when they say “we will call you back”do so, James was helpful in the office and he did try assist us
Finally Mid June was the start date, i took time off work to greet the builders and not a call to cancel, we had to chase again, end of June they decided to start work, after again chasing them
Time and time again communication issues and the job being changed or not done right.
The only people that did a excellent job was kevin and sonny and credit to these two they did a fantastic job

Now, kitchen is out measurement wise, the floor is not level, still awaiting a part for the window and trim for the bi fold door. (Oct 2021) electrics not done to spec, (we had to get an electrician to re wire the kitchen and make it safe, the electric heater not in the middle where as they was instructed. Lastly a few bricks are missing cement and will require repointing at some stage.
It should have been a great extension and it is but it leaves a bittersweet taste in my mouth. Would i recommend the company no. Would i recommend sonny and kevin yes without hesitation

We are delighted with the work done. It has transformed the old conservatory. (Fitted the Guardian roof).Pav and his team are very professional. Very happy to recommend them.

A great service

What can I say very smooth and positive from beginning to end. The fitters Kevin and Sunny were absolutely fantastic a flawless quick finish from them.

The office staff Mehak were great from the enquiry to sorting out the fitting dates a great service all round!!

New conservatory with Guardian roof.
Kal, a director - provided the lowest Guarding roof package quote. The work was completed taking a long and difficult 3 months. The precision of fitting the walls, roof, plasterwork and all fittings is of a good professional standard and we are contented customers with the build - completed in September. The build appears to have stood up very well to the cold weather as of now 27th Nov. The problems we experienced were with some of the staff - with the exception of a manager and the very helpful Surveyor Roy, many of the staff spoke poor English, some of the first on site - the ground crew were arrogant and disrespectful at times and left the flooring and patio area in a mess with substandard and unacceptable work. When removing the existing structure, they somehow managed to leave our back lawn showered with hundreds of pieces of broken glass and left a thick layer of Sharp Sand in our kitchen sink while washing their tools. This crew also spilled wet concrete onto the tarmac drive and failed to clean it up adequately. I complained repeatedly to the office, the level of customer service care was disappointing in general. Their groundwork contractor had to return repeatedly in his lazy cocky and halfhearted way to fix the patio and floor levelling on multiple occasions and today other contractors (to do other work) commented on the poor standard of workmanship with the flooring.
The last we saw of their (flooring) contractor was when I caught him climbing up onto the roof - without a ladder - doing what I don't know, but he obviously had no business being there. I checked the roof later but found nothing out of place.
This company needs to review some of its staffing issues with the office staff taking the complaints seriously and passing on complaints to the directors before the company's reputation suffers. Should be a 4 star review - but only 2.5 out of 5.

Really pleased with the service we received from West Midlands Double Glazing! Our new patio door looks amazing and the 2 guys who fitted it were efficient, polite and very respectful.
Staff over the phone were courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend this company.

This company makes constant noise, drilling every minute of every day, knocking a chimney out without asking permission of us the neighbour first ( which is a requirement of law). They take no notice of the law. They work at weekends when it is illegal to do so. When questioned I was told by one of them we will work when we want to, there is nothing you can do. So to be a neighbour when this lot is working next door to them is horrendous. So if I was you I would look for a company who obeys the law and not these people who think that they have their own laws. If you want to still have friendly neighbours after your work has been completed

Well, what can I say? Austin and John have done an absolutely fantastic job fitting our new windows and doors. They are certainly perfectionists which is so lovely to see!! They go above and beyond for you, very clean & tidy. Which goes along way when you have children who aren’t lol. Thank you so much for making our home look brand new. Will be using WMDG in future if we ever move house and will deffinatley recommend. The price was not only brilliant but the work is fantastic too. Austin and John are an absolute credit to WMDG. I would like to thank WMDG for a positive experience I have had installing my window. They kept to their promised timing and the job was professionally conducted. They responded to my questions and the technical advice after the installation was prompt and spot on. Thank you again.
