This man mick is a real piece of work

This man mick is a real piece of work. Was eating donuts in the van with a pillow half the time. Had a broken arm and was visibly on drugs the entire time. Gouged us and left our roof far worse off (destroyed two skylights) for 8k wasted.

Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs! Asked to look at chimney flashing, but lifted up the roof tiles and told me a lot more work needed to be done. Agreed to do chimney flashing, valleys and ridge tile pointing for 1,900. At midday came back and said felt was rotting behind chimney, needed extra work, asked for an extra 1100 to "repair" - by putting in a piece of wood and felt to the back of the chimney and put in plastic eaves protectors. Very pushy and convincing. Unfortunately, I paid ahead of finishing/checking the job. When I checked at 6pm I saw that west side of chimney flashing wasn't fixed and eaves protectors were not put in. After a week's rain the chimney in the attic was much wetter than before the "works". I asked to come back, promised 3 times but didn't turn up for a month, then I said I don't want his services any more. I asked for a business address, I was never provided one, and the "company" - West Roofing - is not even a registered company with CRO, so no chance of any recourse. I paid 3000 euro and was left with a worse chimney than before. Now, he's ignoring my calls, texts... If you want to avoid all the headache and loss of money, avoid Mick's West Roofing. The nice website is very deceiving!

looking for quick cash no receipt and poor work.

had a leak in the rook, they came out quick enough, quoted for job then started with addons that this needed to be done that needed to be done. Agreed on what needs to be fixed and price.
Once paid no receipt was forthcoming despite a number of weeks asking for it.

now have had some tiles come loose during recent storm and decided on getting someone else, said nothing and let them inspect and they commented on if i had work done recently and started listed all the problems done with it.

west roofing are cowboys... avoid avoid avoid.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

con artists . Asked to repair the gutters and leak in roof . Very pushy and intimidating . Opened up the roof and told me alot more work needed to be done . Said could not afford and he got really pushy then dropped the price . Wanted money (cash) straight away to which I said when job was done . He continued to pester me and knocking in my door looking for the money . I gave half the payment and requested an invoice to which he declined. Said I would not pay further until I had received invoice . When job was finished I still had not received the invoice. He kept ringing me constantly demanding his money . Eventually I received a make shift invoice and I paid the money. First day of rain and the "repaied gutter" are still leaking . I have contacted Michael O Sea if that even is his name and he is ignoring all my texts.

West Roofing, Galway. (Westroofing.ie)

I contacted West Roofing (westroofing.ie) to repair a ridge cap damaged in a storm in late February 2024. I spoke to the owner, who arrived out promptly to carry out repairs and while there we organised to get an additional dry verge upgrade as the roof had become vulnerable to the elements.

I paid him €1900 in cash and requested a receipt for works completed which was not provided on the day but promised would be emailed on. Repeated requests by me in the coming weeks were ignored.

Subsequently, tiles from the newly installed dry verge came apart and fell to the ground in early April leaving the roof open to the weather. I contacted West Roofing to let him know and request these be repaired. Again....multiple calls and messages were made to him to resolve a straightforward issue, only to be met with a string of excuses and ultimately him declining to respond further. He has taken zero responsibility for his work, and wasted a huge amount of my time and patience

At this point I will be resorting to spending additional money to source a competent roofer with the necessary skills and professionalism to repair the poor workmanship of West Roofing.

This has been expensive and frustrating mistake, my advise is to avoid West Roofing at all costs.
