Barely Minimum Viable Product

This company should host a master class in how to provide the barely minimum viable product to their users. Zero consideration for the various use cases that should be handled by the website and related 'contact us' support.

Their call system manages to convey a message of 'up to a 5 minute wait' to one's mobile phone....which is a joke, as I come up on 65 MINUTES on hold. The call options available to select (and the website functionality) do not support anything but the most basic issues/questions.

I am attempting to contact Wex w/ regard to a FSA or Flexible Spending Account..you know....when your employer gives someone else your $$ so that you can argue with that third-party over charges, while they work tirelessly to hold onto your cash as long as possible. Providing ZERO healthcare-related value.

Terrible support

Terrible support, opened a new checking account which blocked the payment initially, after I called my financial institution to clear the issue, I sent a wire transfer to pay the balance due and then received an email that my account was now required to be secured to continue as a customer, despite being a customer for 2 years with no late payments or issues.

I’ve recently started to use WEX Manchester having recently returned to video production. I can’t recommend the team enough with Adam being remarkably helpful and being able to understand my shooting/production needs - a great team.

I separated from my previous employer…

I separated from my previous employer on the last week of February 2025. I received my cobra paperwork 13 days after my separation. I immediately paid the enrollment fee (1500.00) I've now paid my second months payment (another 1500.00) and still do not have insurance. When you call the 800 number, they say they sent it to Bluecross and refuse to make an outbound call to blue cross to try and fix. I asked for proof that they sent it to Bluecross and they said they don't give that. i have made 13 outbound calls in the last six weeks to wex and BlueCross trying to get this handled - no luck yet.

Horrible & Inconsistent

Horrible service! They cut off my card long ago due to their inconsistency in approvals. Things are often denied so I've been paying out of pocket and submitting my receipts for reimbursement. I had orthopedic surgery, submitted my physician's bill with receipt and it was denied. I've been going to PT twice a week and have been submitting my receipt and PT Referral Order for months. After getting my visits reimbursed, all of a sudden it got denied and they want a different type of receipt. The reps aren't helpful and I just got hung up on. I've had other HSA & FSA accounts but they seem to want to hold onto my money!

The worst Cobra provider ever

The worst Cobra provider ever. They cancel my policy on the first of the month regardless of when I pay. Get ready to be on the phone for 5 days trying to resolve it every month. You can't understand the people at the call center and they charge you a $20 fee to make a payment online. Absolutely atrocious.

This company is organized crime…

This company is organized crime masquerading as legitimate business. The software they have is convoluted and obtuse. The first line customer service is even worse. You don't get a normal person (english as a first language - non minion) without escalating. They need an SEC investigation for RICO violations. This should be a class action.

The CEO should be held personally Accountable

I am surprised this company is in business, website, Mobil app and customer service are all three complete separate failures. I filed a complaint with the BBB only to discover they have 224 complaints and are not accredited. I have four pieces of mail "not received" at their mailing location including my set up for ACH payments. I waited 2.5 hours to reach customer service on three consecutive days. My Cobra Was Cancelled due to these "lost pieces of mail". The lack of contact with the company escalated the situation. There advice to me was to wait 2 months for my lost mail to show up to be reinstated ( otherwise go without health insurance or 2+ months????). The ACH form is illegal in the format, they ask you to send your name, address, bank account details and your social security number on a hard written document and you can only mail it. Documents cannot be uploaded to their site for cyber security. I honestly think this company and website were created in the 80's. The posting of payments on the website are incorrect and the APP posting dates are disparate information along with no mail or warning to their bookkeeping corrections regarding terminations or their clerical errors.

So when is a "REWARD PRIZE" on Bluelight prizes an example of incompetence?
Won the double discount prize for Esso WEX card in November.
What a joke 😂

"After a telephone conversation with your customer service dept. this afternoon, I was advised to forward the email stating I would get 6p discount per litre.

The actual card arrived on the 9/12/2024, subsequently I was unable to purchase discounted fuel as per the Blue Light "prize award" for almost 30% of the qualifying month.

I have made two purchases on the Esso card; 12/12 & 16/12. On receiving the bills, you have only applied a discount of 3p. Not the 6p as per the attached email"

Apparently it is "under investigation"

However they have extended the card usage time until the end of January, despite them being informed in the email trail that I have no confidence that they would actually get any further purchases or discount applications correct, consequently I will never be using the card ever again.

I`ve had an interesting online dialogue with "Kelsea" this morning (copied to documents)

Simple solution. Please just reimburse me the money that you owe me Esso/WEX card.

I have not received my FSA card

I have not received my FSA card. I have tried calling 3 times and I am being told to wait 14 days or submit for reimbursement. On 1/2/25 I requested a supervisor call me back. As of today 1/7/25 I have not received a phone call. There is a language barrier & disconnect with the CSR and they lack empathy and do not understand the importance or urgency of the matter.

AVOID this Joke of a Company

There should be zero stars for a company this bad. I submitted a dependent reimbursement claim on 12/5/24 and am still awaiting payment. I have called three times. The first person was totally incompetent and could not fathom what I was talking about. Asked for a supervisor. They told me one would call within 24 hours. Guess what? No call. Called again and was told it would be paid by the end of the week. It wasn't. Called again they don't know why it hasn't been paid and are escalating it again. Apparently, no supervisor is there who can actually speak to you. I'll scrape my jaw off the floor if I actually get a callback. Avoid if at all possible.

The customer service phone number…

The customer service phone number cannot be reached by clients, no email to send a message with issue description.

I wanted to pay all amount I had available for daycare: $768, but the system didn’t allow to submit this amount. So, I selected $577.00 only, submitted the payment and now: my balance is negative: -191.76 !!! How is it possible? $768.00-577.00=$191.00 not minus $191.00 😡😡☹️🙁😩😠
And the payment is still pending since December 7th, 2024

I’ve invested $3,000 into my HSA

I’ve invested $3,000 into my HSA. They never sent me my benefits card, even after I’ve requested it to be sent out on two requests. They denied all my claims that are legitimate. Their customer service team is also a scam since they lie, say they can’t do whatever it is you’re requesting, and incompetent. I’ve never had access to my funds. DON’T use WEX!!

It’s illegal to keep your customers’ money!

One star is overly generous. Thieving bastards. Marathon gas card and Wex Fleet card. Stay away from these people. excessive fees, hidden fees, outright made up fees. Statements and invoices are the most confusing I’ve ever seen in 40 years of business. did I mention they’re thieving bastards? Cut your cards up, find some other way to buy your gas.

waiting over 3 months for refund

Have been waiting over 3 months for a refund . Customer service tell me its been approved and their finance dept keep telling me I will receive it within 5 working days - this has been repeated 3 times and yet still waiting for the money. Not sure if its their Finace dept or customer service dept that is lying or if they are just incompetent
