I recently had the pleasure of doing business with Wheat’s Carpet. Ms. Tracy Gooden helped us make our carpet selection. Not only was she very knowledgeable, Ms. Gooden was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Everything went just as Ms. Gooden said it would go, which was so refreshing given some of the other disappointing instances we have had with sale representatives. Our installation was excellent. Andreas was our installer, and he was also a pleasure to work with. My thanks go out to Tracy and Andreas.

Tracy Gooden convinced me of the advantages of working with Wheat’s Carpet One versus a big box store. From selection of flooring to the completion of the installation, Wheat’s validated my trust. Tracy sent samples, measured the room, set the operation in motion and followed with a call to assess our satisfaction. Derell, and his partner Troy, took up the old carpet only to find damage to some of the subfloor. Derell immediately contacted Tracy who had a carpenter (Smithy’s Carpentry) at the house at 7:00 the next morning. Billy Smith and his team expertly completed their work in time for Derell and Troy to lay the “wood” flooring that day! It took great skill to accurately cut and place the wood around the circular fireplace. In fact, Derell and Troy were very precise in cutting and fitting each irregular piece in the room. My husband and I have no regrets for employing Wheat’s.

I had one bad experience with Wheat's Carpet One several years ago The installers were late...they brought the wrong flooring...and their quality of work was poor. After talking to Tracy Gooden about my bad experience, her great personality and her outstanding professionalism convinced me to give Wheat's Carpet One another try. Tracy has since worked with me on 3 home projects and they've all been home runs! I'm very pleased with the results.

Had to have carpet and hardwood flooring replaced because of flooding. Tracy Gooden came to home and measured, ordered and assisted in scheduling installation. Shane was the installer and did an excellent job. Could not have a better installer. All seams are excellent and you have to know where they are as you can not see them. Would recommend him and if need carpet or flooring again would want him to be the installer.

We recently had Engineered vinyl panel flooring installed in our living and dining areas and could not have been more pleased with the service provided by Wheat's Carpet One. The sales representative, Tracy Goodin was extremely helpful, patient and courteous and the installation by Jovanni and Caesar was efficiently and professionally done. The match with adjoining hardwood was also very good. We were completely satisfied with the quality of the work and their quote was significantly lower than a leading competitor. Great folks. Highly recommended.

He made a very stressful time go very smoothly! My floors look beautiful! I could not be happier with my decision to choose Wheats and i will use them in the future.

I had new carpet installed in my bedroom and vanity area. In order to install the carpeting the workers had to disassemble a fully adjustable king size bed including all the cords and wires. The job was well done and the workers cleaned up after themselves and put the furniture back in the room.
The nice surprise happened a few days later when a thunderstorm sent my big dog under the bed. When the storm was over, I went in my room to crawl under the bed, disconnect the wires under the bed, untangle the dog, and reconnect the wires. My usual routine.
As I was about to crawl under the bed, I realized the workmen had organized the wires and gathered them near the headboard. My 55 lb baby can now go under the bed anytime he wants and crawl out when he is ready. Nice attention to detail. Thank you. Susan Wharton

Wheat's Carpet One donated the flooring materials, tile and complete installation for a Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa home in the spring of 2018. They allowed the homeowner to choose extremely high quality flooring and tile, and assisted her with the choice of colors and materials. This was especially important, because the homeowner's son is confined to a wheelchair, and the flooring materials particularly needed to be very durable. Additionally, Wheat's installed a beautiful, fully tiled, roll in shower for the homeowner's son, and a gorgeous tile back-splash in her kitchen.

They treated our Habitat homeowner with the same level of courteous service as they would have the most high-end customer. Furthermore, they donated materials suitable for the finest homes, and installed them in the same flawless fashion.

A very good experience. I am so pleased with the hardwood flooring it has made my family room look so much larger. My dining room looks so amazing with the new hardwood flooring as well. I would definitely use Wheat's again when my Husband and I decide to remodel some more rooms in our home.
