Serious Quality Problems

I purchased the Mesh Office Chair from Jacob Bek (now Wheeler Display) and my experience has not been positive. The problems started during assembly: the screws that connect the backrest to the base did not fit properly, and at least one of them could not be secured at all.

Over time, the quality has proven disappointing. After just a few months, several screws began to loosen whenever I leaned back, causing the backrest to suddenly shift and even giving me an unpleasant pull in my back.

In addition, the maximum seat height is quite limited compared to other chairs in the same range, which makes it impractical for anyone who needs to work at a higher level.

In my case, I would not choose this model again.

I am very disappointed!

I am very disappointed with my experience shopping at Jacob Bek, particularly regarding their handling of a return.

After purchasing a desk that did not fit my needs, I followed their return instructions precisely: I repacked the desk using the original packaging, ensured everything was secure, and used an insured and trackable courier as they requested. The desk left our hands in perfect condition.

However, once the desk arrived at their facility, they claimed it was damaged and unsellable, and refused to issue a refund. They blamed the packaging and stated it had not been secured as well as when it was first shipped, although we followed their guidelines meticulously and reused all provided materials.

Instead of standing behind their return policy or assisting meaningfully with the situation, they told us to file a claim with the courier and offered no support beyond that. Even more frustrating, they neither refunded us nor returned the desk, essentially leaving us without our money or the product.

This is not the level of professionalism or customer care I would expect from a company that markets itself with a generous 365-day return policy. We did everything correctly on our end and were still penalized.

I would strongly caution anyone considering a purchase from Jacob Bek to think twice. If anything goes wrong — even when it's out of your control — they will not take responsibility. Customer service ends the moment a problem arises.

We take great care in how we package our items for safe delivery and provide clear guidance for returns. Unfortunately, when the desk you returned arrived at our facility, it was significantly damaged. The packaging had not been secured to the same standard as when it was originally sent — the frame components were not individually wrapped, and the internal protective layer was not properly fixed in place. As a result, the desk was no longer in a sellable condition.

We’re disappointed that this situation has been turned around onto us. We provided detailed photos of the damage upon arrival and full transparency to support your claim. Since the return was sent via your chosen insured courier, filing a claim should be straightforward, and we encouraged you to do so to help recover the cost.

We also offered to make the item available for collection, whether by you or your courier, and unfortunately, our last email offering this solution went unanswered.

We stand by our 365-day return policy, which applies when items are returned in resellable condition. While we truly regret the outcome in this case, we did everything possible to support a fair resolution.

I ordered in march 22

I ordered in march 22, a desk, chair and plug. And i received 3 days later only the chair and plug but no desk yet, have been sending e-mails but no respond. I hope it will arrive very soon.

Awful quality chairs

Awful quality. Bought a chair and the wood splitted in the first week, no use or something. After reaching out they state it was due to use and it was not covered by warranty. Now have to proceed into a legal procedure to get it replaced... Think twice before you buy here. Also their warranty claim on their site is a big lie.

UPDATE AFTER REPLY JACOB:
To repeat myself, I did not _use_ the chair. We bought 2 of them, 1 is good, the other one is not good. Both were not used. This is a really bad experience.

Nice looking, good price, plenty of steps to assemble, problem with 2 screws

The price is good, the grey chair looks nice and elegant and the delivery was fast and perfect with GLS.
However, there are plenty of steps to assemble it and 2 of the screws to join the lumbar support, one falls all the time, it is too loose, and the other one we needed to hammer to insert it. I ended up sticking a piece of grey tape to prevent it from falling.

Nice stuff, nice price

Nice stuff, for a nice price. However, the metal of the desks were finished a bit roughly. The transport was difficult to track and two boxes were left on the sidewalk, but that's the fould of the carrier.

Good value for money

The products arrived in 2 weeks, but that was ok in busy Christmas period. Assembly of the seats was easy they are comfortable enough - my son is about 1.80m tall. I think it's good value for money. The arm rests could be a bit more stable.

Beautiful, sturdy but elegant.

To my surprise the chair had to be sent from Spain. But the communication all the way to picking it up from the delivery spot nearby was excellent. Today I saw the result at my grandsons birthday: beautiful, sturdy but elegant.

Great desk at a great price good…

Great desk at a great price good directions when you take your time the desk is setup under 2 hrs. The motor works flawlessly. Just make sure you get cable management to mount under the desk if you got a lot of periferal on your desk

I recommand absolutely

When I received my order a tablet was damaged. I contacted the sales department and quickly I received a new tablet plus a very practical gift which is very useful. I recommend. I will make a video on the products on the networks for my customers who need this kind of quality product

Quality and customer attention is zero.

After sending an email, I still haven't responded for 7 days.
Total lack of customer service.
The concern they say they have for the customer and their products is equal to their quality, i.e. zero.
Dear readers, don't believe their words, their photos, their videos, opinions on the website, computers work wonders, but it's all marketing. I received no response after complaining. I did not receive an evaluation questionnaire after purchase, how can we believe that the customer opinions on the website are true?
Quality and customer attention is zero.
Please don't buy, I'm sorry I can't post photos for everyone to see the poverty I received.
