This is Scam

This is Scam. Someone names Harlow Bowie texted me after I posted and car advertisement. She is very adamant that I get a report on clearwheelcheck.com. I'm lucky that I didn't fall for it.

This is a SCAM

This is a SCAM! Do not fall for it!
A person called David Henry answered my advert for my car and was pretending to be interested in buying it only if I paid for one of these checks costing up to £40.
He was very pushy and it became obvious it was a SCAM so we googled the company and found these reviews.
Please do not fall for it, you do not need one of these unnecessary reports to sell your car!

Selling our car; got approached by someone pretending to be a genuine buyer, but after asking a few questions to make you think they are pretty interested - and arranging to come and view the car, they then ask you to get an up to date vehicle check report - and they send you the website address of Wheelscheck - It’s just a scam to get business for Wheelscheck.

Its a scam

If you haven't guessed by now from other reviews.... its a scam. Use of poor English and insisting that you buy a WheelsCheck report before coming to buy your car. And they'd never heard of an HPI check!! All a bit of a give away!

This is a scam site

This is a scam site - I was trying to sell a car on facebook marketplace and the buyer kept insisting I buy a report from this site. Apparently it is a known scam. The site is 4mths old and looks like it was only set up as a ghost site in order for the scammers to push you there, you apparently request the report pay and then the potential buyer disappears - according to the details I read online. I did not get the report I just read about it.

The scammers act with urgency wanting to buy the car asap I had three similar approaches and they would not accept an alternative reputable report (which I had), they insisted on a WC (Wheelscheck) report and sent me the site link multiple times. Luckily I checked the website on Trustpilot and it was not rated and that raised my alarm bells. Hence I looked for the scam online.

Hope this makes others think before just accepting at face value the request from the buyer. I have no doubt that they will come out with another ghost site so do check the site address and how long is has been in existence and if they are pushy and want it yesterday definitely push back.
