Really friendly and helpful staff on the phone Ashley and Luke. They answered our questions clearly and made the whole mortgage application process easy. They responded to emails quickly and helped us get a good mortgage rate. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a mortgage. We had a good experience with this company.

After quick response at the start they stopped contacting me. I had to chase them and make repeated calls.
Finally I got an advisor who told me I had to pay a deposit for the remortgage but not how much that would be. Then to talk to my bank because I owed them money which wasn't true. I had a feeling they did not understand the issue or did not want to understand it. Had the feeling something wasn't quite right about the company.
Finally with all this wrangling it was too late to do anything about remortgage. My advice is: do not use them, they are unprofessional and probably need more training.

My remortgage was completed last week and I can’t thank whbsn enough. Mine was quite a complicated case . They helped me right through the process, and helped with forms if I was unsure. They even chased up the solicitors who I was having problems with. Thanks to Ashley, Beckie and Samantha and everyone else involved in my remortgage. Thanks again 5 stars.

!!!scammer alert!!!

!!!scammer alert!!!
I found When the Bank Says No after being declined by another lender, and initially I thought I had finally found a company that could genuinely help me.
My mortgage adviser, Danielle, listened to my circumstances, requested my documents and, after reviewing them, issued me an Agreement in Principle. I then instructed her to proceed with the full application.
Later that evening, at around 7pm, Danielle called me while submitting the application and told me I had received a full mortgage offer from Atom Bank. I was absolutely delighted and relieved. The offer was issued extremely quickly, and I believed my case had been properly assessed.
I was then immediately asked to pay their £1,495 fee, which I paid. Before paying, I specifically asked Danielle what would happen if the mortgage offer was withdrawn and they could not find me another lender. She confirmed that I would receive a full refund, and I have this confirmation in writing. This is all their trick to get your money I believe.
The following day, they requested further documents, which I provided. After that, communication became extremely frustrating. I repeatedly had to chase for updates by phone and email and struggled to get clear answers about what was happening with my case.
The case was subsequently passed to Beckie, the case manager(I believe they both work for Alder rose mortgages too).
Eventually, after numerous calls and emails, Danielle informed me that Atom Bank had withdrawn the mortgage offer and could no longer offer me the mortgage. No satisfactory explanation was provided to me.
I accepted the situation and simply expected the £1,495 refund that I had been promised in writing.
This is where my frustration has become even worse.
I have repeatedly contacted them about my refund. Each time, I have been told that the account manager is dealing with it and that the refund will be issued. Five days later, I am still waiting for my money.
I have now contacted my bank and opened a dispute, and I will report them to FINANCIAL CONDUCT AUTHORITY AND ACTION FRAUD.

I personally feel that my circumstances were not assessed as thoroughly as I had been led to believe before the mortgage offer was presented to me. Receiving an offer so quickly gave me confidence that everything had been properly checked, only for the offer to subsequently be withdrawn.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of communication, the handling of my case and, most importantly, the delay in returning money that I was explicitly told would be refunded.
My advice to anyone considering using this company: !!AVOID AT ALL COST!!
!!SCAMMERS ALERT!!
I BELIEVE ALL THE POSITIVE FEEDBACKS ARE FAKE TOO

Very slow response

While everyone has been very polite, I feel the team may be overloaded with work, and as a result, the quality of service has suffered.

Lucy told me she would seek agreement in principle, but after that I received no updates or emails. I had to keep calling to ask for progress. Three days later, I called again, and only then was I told that the lender had not approved the application and that they were unsure whether I had a chance. I had been waiting for three days for someone to contact me, but no one did.

My suggestion would be to maintain the same polite approach while improving communication and professionalism, particularly when dealing with clients who may have smaller budgets or less money to spend. Every client deserves timely updates and the same standard of service.

After two unsuccessful attempts to secure a mortgage elsewhere, Alderrose helped us achieve what we thought wasn't possible they secured us a mortgage offer.
We can't thank Ashley Carter, Rachel, and Sam B enough for their hard work, expert guidance, and incredible dedication throughout the entire process. They kept us informed every step of the way, were always available to answer our questions, and never gave up on finding the right solution for us.
Their professionalism, persistence, and commitment made all the difference, and we are truly grateful for everything they did. If you're looking for a mortgage broker who genuinely cares and goes the extra mile, look no further than Alderrose.
Thank you again to the whole team!

STAY AWAY

Be carefully, they instigate panic by using lies to make you accept their deal asap. Firstly they told me on a Friday afternoon that mortgage rates were going up on Monday and had to submit a remortgage application on that day asap which was a lie.
Secondly they said that broker's fee was due on mortgage application refundable before completion if for some reason or another it did not complete and turns out theirs Terms and Conditions contract states in small print that the broker's fee is not refundable regardless of reason for not completing. Mike Edwards will lie to you and rush you. STAY AWAY.
