It was easy to make the reservation and the host was very nice. The only problem was the miscommunication between Whimstay and the host and I was over charged. It too a week to correct. Other then that everything was fine.

Made traveling with kids a breeze
I loved how easy it was to book. I was especially glad for how much the team reached out to make sure I did not have any questions. Traveling to a strange city with 2 small children can be scary and they helped to ease any concerns I had.

Rental was great, Whimstay's role lacking
I loved our rental, and grateful for a platform like this. My issue is that 1. I never received information about check in (leasing agent said they don't receive renter emails), 2. When I contacted Whimstay on morning of rental, chat and call states they were not available. I didn't hear back for several hours. I ended up reaching the leasing agent w/o issue, but if I did have an issue Whimstay was MIA.

Most hosts send check-in information 24-48 hours before check-in, and we'd love to get more info from you about what happened so we can follow up with the host and ensure they're sending everything guests need in a timely manner. We provide contact info to both host and guest immediately upon booking, so it sounds like there may have been a miscommunication on the host's end about receiving emails.
When you reached out on the morning of check-in, we provided your host's contact details right away via chat, which is typically the fastest path to resolution on check-in day. You sent us another message shortly after saying to disregard your earlier request for help since you were able to connect with your host using the contact info provided and resolve the issue. We responded to make sure you had everything you needed and to let you know we're here if anything came up.

Lack of transparency…BUYERS BEWARE
I do not recommend this booking company. The terms and conditions were not presented in a clear or transparent manner, and key restrictions were effectively hidden until after payment was made.
A customer should be able to understand material conditions before committing financially. That standard was not met here. Transparency should not require digging, guessing, or discovering terms only when a problem arises.
