James & Hande were great! Had such a lovely experience during the Beside the Sea course. Would recommend.

An amazing experience
Wow! What a fantastic experience! I was bought a voucher for one of the classes as a birthday present. I chose the Thai course which was led by T who is a very knowledgeable and talented chef. She was absolutely fantastic in explaining the different ingredients and the cooking techniques.
The group were all given tea and coffee (of any kind) throughout the day along with freshly baked cookies.
Luke (the owner and talented chef) joined the group helping is with our knife skills and made us a beautiful pudding for lunch.
We were able to eat what we cooked and had enough to take home.
It was an absolute delight and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new and have a thoroughly wonderful experience.
A recipe for success.
Another enjoyable, rewarding and great day at WhitePepper. Invested quite a lot of time here over last year or so on these day courses and they never fail to disappoint. Indeed as a business it is always seeking to improve, yesterday’s Italian ‘Plus’ a case in point (compliments / adds on nicely to the well established signature Italian course). Al (chef tutor) makes the day educational yet fun, with great combination of demonstration, hands on cooking and support, no matter your level or skill. Top chap. It is just a great day and as said before in a review, if thinking about it as someone who likes food and cooking and have heard about WhitePepper just do it. The recipe here is a good one, and once tried, you will be back for more. A recipe for success.
ps Luke….Indian Plus?!?!
Great course, great Chef, great day!
Had a fantastic day with Chef Al on ‘Italian Plus’ cookery course. During the 7-hour day, we made arancini, aubergine lasagne, tiramisu, and gnocchi with pesto - as well as having coffee breaks, and a nice lunch break where we had our gnocchi. We also got to try Chef Al’s arancini, lasagne, and tiramisu, and got to take ours home for later. It was a really fun experience, and Chef Al was great - he explained things very well and demonstrated everything, as well as popping round to help us as we were cooking. The additional helpers were great too - all the ingredients were measured out and ready to go, and all the washing up was taken away as we went along, so it made cooking much easier and more fun than at home! Overall, very pleased to have gone, and would love to go again. (We also got a copy of the recipes to take home, and a cute magnet with an apron on it too!)
Another super experience
Great one day course...been cooking for forty years, but wanted a brush-up and another super White Pepper day (been thrice before). Lee, his team, my colleagues didn't disappoint. Great learning, eating and above all learning.
Wonderful vegetarian cooking experience
Had a great time under the supervision of the chef Lee. Everything was so well prepared and even my food that I cooked tasted wonderful! Liked it so much I bought a voucher to return later this year for another experience. Many thanks.

Want to say a huge thank you to Al and Lee for a fantastic class with them on Saturday 4th February 2023😁
The Plant based course was courtesy of our son who is a real foody enthusiast, self taught, he wanted to get his dad out of the mind set that he couldn’t enjoy cooking as much as he does and also as a treat for me for my 70th and our 50th wed anv. It did not disappoint, not only does my husband now volunteer to cook, but he has also bought himself a chef’s knife and deep fat fryer and microplane grater😉 I’ve not had to cook at all since then.
The recipes were amazing too, we brought home so much stuff we were able to keep feeding others for several days later.
I’ve had the privilege of having done previously both the Thai course and the Fish one. We’ve both attended a pop up restaurant a few years ago and this year my daughter and I were invited to the pop up Canapés afternoon. The mulled cider was amazing and food was so delicious. I took some home for my husband, (we didn’t know then that we were booked in for the course!) our 36yr old daughter enjoyed it so much that she said she’d love to do a course. So at the end of our lesson we signed her up and her sister for whatever course they fancy as this year’s birthday treats.
White Pepper is situated in the community that we live in, so for us it’s like being amongst friends. They made my husband to feel a part of the team and his previous fears dispelled. I know it won’t be too long before he wants to do it again….we actually caught him saying…’the next time I come’……
There’s a recommendation for sure!
Once again, thank, we had so much fun🥰
Support
Spending time for interested people to inform them and answer their questiones is very important.
It was useful for me to have this brief call.
Fantastic experience
I have just completed my Gold diploma at White Pepper and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The tutors were amazing and the training kitchen was fantastic. The course was full on but it was made manageable by the support of my tutors and the excellent friends I made. Since studying at White Pepper I feel excited ready to embark on a fantastic catering career.
Talent chiefs and culinary academy …
Talent chiefs and culinary academy offers training courses that suit many people's time and budget.
Well established facilities and friendly, supportive environment and neighbours.
Sustainable relationships with their hosting community as well as their suppliers.
Generous to ease and support their students financial barriers.
However there things to improve such as:
- Fill in their long lasting vacancy that takes most downgraded student's time and efforts from their main objective they came for.
- Rightly timed and fair enough feedback to realign trainers uptakes, outputs and achievements.
- Multifaith quite space for worshipers.
This review is from a L4 Gold level graduate who is originally food safety and management quality tutor and being at White pepper culinary academy for 16 weeks and will last for the life.

As always a wonderful warm reception at Whitepepper. Wonderful to hear the students so positive about their experience and their tasty canapés showed their abilities. The teaching chefs have obviously done a wonderful job as always and I recommend anyone who wants to pursue a culinary career to visit Whitepepper. Thank you again for inviting me and for a lovely afternoon.
Warm Welcome, Delicious Canapés
I attended a pop-up restaurant canapés event and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious canapés and meeting everyone involved.
The facilities at the White Pepper Cookery School are excellent, we were made to feel very welcome by staff and students.
Thank you all, an amazing event.
Inspirational day with top chefs
Ahead of starting a course with W-P, I was the privilege to attend a bespoke pop up canapé event for their current class. Needless to say it was amazing with delicate, diverse and thoughtful canapés and lovely mulled cider and beverages. Amazing event and so proud of the students/chefs who pulled it on. Can’t wait to start my White-Pepper journey.
Food Business Workshop - what an eye-opener!
What an eye-opener!
I recently attended the above workshop, with no catering experience whatsoever to call upon, no business model all figured out, rather, just a bunch of ideas about cooking and so it was with some trepidation that arrived at WhitePepper.
However, I received a really warm welcome and importantly, the friendly, informal tone made for an inclusive atmosphere for me, as well as my fellow students.
With no experience to draw upon myself, it was great to learn and understand from the real-life experiences that Luke shared - as did some of the others in attendance, who already had a business of their own.
If you're mulling over starting a catering business - this is a great opportunity to focus your thoughts in a really friendly, positive and open forum... plus the lunch isn't too shabby either!
Needless to say, I signed up for the Level 2 chef course before I left... !
French Patisserie Course
Home baker who attend the French Patisserie Course yesterday, husband brought the course for a Birthday Present!
I was concerned that it would be full of professional chefs and I would be out of my depth!
How wrong I was, Al and his team made me feel at ease and offered a fantastic day, the demonstrations was insightful!
The recipes we fun to make and was able to bring everything I baked home for my family to enjoy!
Lunch was included in the price, lovely soup and cheese and biscuits!
Will definitely be making the recipes again at home and will book another course in the future!
Shame you don't offer a cake decorating course, maybe something for the future!
Food Business Workshop
Well delivered content which was useful in the context of starting up a business, not just for Food but any business. Activities were relevant and would be useful to be explored further in a smaller group setting in the future as a follow up.
Engaging style and opportunity to contribute.
Food business workshop
I attended the Food Business workshop as a part of my Gold course at White Pepper. The workshop is good and relevant for anyone who has the intention to open their own business or has a business already and would like to improve it. For me, though, just helped me to consolidate that opening a business will not be an option in the near future.
It was great to hear from everyone about their own business and experiences and their hopes for the future.
The team at White Pepper is super! And I really recommend the other courses too.
White Pepper Food Business Workshop
I attended White Pepper’s Food Business Workshop. The course was really well put together with excellent breakdowns of the intricacies of running a business. The team were all friendly and made us a delicious lunch for the days we were there.
I’m following up on the business course by doing the Bronze level Chef Course. Can’t wait.
Business Food Start up two day course

Excellent course on Indian cooking plus…
Excellent course on Indian cooking plus additional nuggets like knife skills and not scorching the spices. Friendly helpful team and generous hospitality
