They’ve been understanding, flexible and patient with us thru a process that’s at times humbling but also freeing us of this stress from debt. The program works!

DO NOT TRUST THEM

DO NOT TRUST THEM. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM WELL-PLANNED.

They will pretend to care about you for the first 6 months because all the money you pay goes directly into their pockets. After the initial 6 months, they have no incentive to work hard or diligently because they already got the money from you. You might think everything is going well at that point, but usually, nothing happens for the first 6-9 months. When you start receiving a lot of legal documents from your creditors, that's when you'll realize the true situation.

A year later, I realized that they had no intention of helping me from the beginning. How did I know?
1. They hadn't contacted any creditors or made any settlements over 1 year.
2. They hadn't assigned a lawyer to review my legal documents. I have asked for this over 4 months, but I attended the summon by myself because they failed to find a lawyer with excuses.

Finally, I decided to cancel my program and asked for a refund of my money. However, they have not refunded the fees they took from my account for the first 6 months. I canceled the program because they failed to do their job as we agreed, but they will not give you back any amount from the fees they charged. Shame on them for using the people's minds who needed help. Now, I clearly understand why they have reacted like this.

From now on, I will do everything to make their faults known because I am so angry with their attitude.

Don't use, waste of time and money

While White Oak has handled 2 out of 4 of my cases, the main ones, Chase, went unresolved. I now have wage garnishments pending and I paid in full on my program for them to handle, $17k. I called to cancel today, no one cared, no retention whatsoever. I'm getting back $6 without my debts bring taken care of. I highly doubt anyone from the company will reach out after this review. I'm not happy to have wasted all this time when I should have just tried handling it myself.

WASTE OF MONEY DON'T DO IT

I signed up with White Oak Law Group in March of 2023 because I had gotten myself into a situation where I was unable to afford my minimum payments. They were extremely communicative - until I signed my paperwork. After that (almost a year later) only one of my creditors were in a payment plan OF $25/MONTH -- Why are you paying them $25/month and negotiated my total debt by 48%...when you are taking $385 of my money each month? I called about a year after enrollment and was met with an extremely arrogant agent who provided no information and justified why nothing had been done yet. When I called back 6 months later - since STILL nothing had been done - I had the most helpful agent I spoke with since the person who sold me the plan to begin with -- her name was Samantha and she was amazing. I was able to cancel my consolidation effective immediately. Since ALL of my accounts are in collections, what do I have to lose by attempting to take on settling my debt on my own? These people took almost 7k of my money and only refunded me $2400. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Yall are better off handling your debts yourself - and don't deal with the collection s agencies -- deal with the banks yourself. White Oak negotiated 48% with $25/month payment plan, I negotiated an 18% settlement on 2 of my accounts myself. Cancel this ISH now and take it on yourself!!

Not sure what to think

I have been enrolled with this program since February of 2023. I have paid White Oak approx. $5,400 so far. I have been summond to court 3 times by one of the debts enrolled and each time I have uploaded the documents & waited for the attorney to reach out. Silence each & every time, no communication at all. I have had to go to court on my own with NO representation whatsoever & the creditor at court has no records of my debt being enrolled besides the contract I have presented to them. No one from White Oak has had any contact with this particular creditor. I am paying these people for a service that I am not receiving at all. I am at the point now that I'm getting ready to stop all further ACH withdrawals from my account as I am not receiving any services that were promised in the contract I signed. Extremely disappointed 😞

Absolutely horrible, all lies, took a lot of money and did nothing

Absolutely horrible….every single aspect of this company is a flat out lie, took a lot of money and did nothing.. multiple garnishments from pay check cause of no communication, lawyer presence or intake not ever done leading to asking to remove from program so it didn’t count against them, All debit was over 30% more than intake but never seen any money back. Paid in advance for nothing. Then received an urgent ask to sign off on an amendment saying we won’t ask you to pay in advance lol after u have already charged me in advance for three years and done nothing… lol yup I ain’t signing that give me my money back

Worst mistake of your life getting involved with White Oak

At the start of the year I asked for a refund as I was extremely disappointed with what was promised and what was actually delivered. I was offered a refund of about $2300 and signed a legal agreement for such. Over 3 months later, I still have yet to received said refund which was promised in 5-10 business days. I have called them over 25 times in the last 3 months to inquire about said refund. Each time I get a different story why I haven't recieved said refund yet. And upon researching the matter further online, I see that they have played the same game with multiple other people as well. As a matter of fact, they lost their accreditation with the BBB, for lack of following up on these matters. You will only make your credit situation worse if you deal with this company.. Be very aware.. I am currently filing a complaint with The Illinois Attorney Generals office and submitting all the documentation I can find on this scam company.

Currently a client of White Oak Law…

Currently a client of White Oak Law Group. I'm being sued by a creditor. My attorney not only allowed a default judgement to happen BEFORE my court date, I have had to tell him the status updates along the way. He has failed to communicate nor file the motion to vacate judgement. I had to go to the courthouse to complete this myself. The "litigation" department has no idea what is going on and is completely unavailable, when the extension actually works. I have spent over 12 grand for zero representation and no assistance.

White Oak Law Group Law Suit

Not sure what is going on with all the positive reviews. As a customer of White Oak Law Group, I logged into their site and was instructed to a notice that said that "the operations of the businesses providing customer service for the law firms and companies listed below have been paused." White Oak Law Group answers their phone with an automated message but you are put on hold for an extensive period of time (like an hour) with no option to leave a message for a call back.

Great People, Great Program

From the very first phone call to the final settlement approval, we have had a great experience. We initially were a little wary of this type of program, but from the very first phone call, everything was explained well and every question was answered.
