White Rock renewed our patio, put up a fence and constructed some outside steps. We are very pleased with the end result. The men on site worked hard and adapted well to our requirements. Being quite a large building company, they could call in various skilled craftsmen as required. We had to wait 4 months for the work to begin but that's what you might expect from builders in demand. I felt the cost was high however.
I applied for a job with this company. They asked me in for a interview.
In the questions they ask was
“Are you ok with dogs as we have a dog in here” which my reply was yes fine
Second question was -
“Do you smoke” I replied no, but I do smoke a Vape
I could see the persons face dropped to the floor and at that minute I knew I didn’t have a chance in the job.
I don’t understand what type of question “do you smoke” had to do with the job role I was applying for.
Absolutely shambles of a interview and I would never recommend to work for this company, if they can judge someone by “smoking” then what type of company is that!
So basically they wasn’t ok with me having a Vape on my break but I had to be ok with having a smelly dog around me all day covering me in dog hair, yeah cheers for that.
£75.00 for survey fee, deducted if job goes ahead. Estimate provided, £1355.00 less £75.00 = £1280. Good to go.
Waiting time, approximately 6 months. Not so good.
Turn up, survey apparently, not good so additional £341.00.
VAT added to total cost…Invoice £1,945.20
What a F…ing rip off!
Will never use again.
Will never recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to review us Mr Powell, unfortunately we have not matched your expectations which we find extremely disappointing. The reason why there was an additional cost is because once the wall was opened up further issues were identified, to ensure the works that we were undertaking would leave you with no further issued going forward a revised specification was submitted and agreed with you the client. We do not undertake additional works without consent from the client with all costs agreed prior to starting works, you were happy with the work once completed, which was signed off with the project manager, I also note that we are still to receive any payment from you for any of the works that have been completed to satisfactory standard and look forward to receiving payment.
Had this company in to damp proof my external wall and build new partion wall.
Turned up on the day arranged and put plastic sheets down to protect flooring which was never cleaned allowing mess to carry around house. On the reboarding of the wall after the membrane I noticed big gaps where plasterboard was cut too short on both side and filled up. The head was out if square and it was only when I told the guy that he rectify the issue then the corner was out of square on the side leaving a huge gap on the skirting. The guys came back to replaster and left it worse then before lumps in the plaster where he didn't fine it down. When asked for payment I replied to once job is completed to a proper standard new bloke turned up and had to re skin the whole wall.

Thank you for your review Mark, Apologies you feel this way, there were aspects of the works that were not complete when you picked up on these snags ie the stud wall which was rectified the following day when completed. We at White Rock pride ourselves of customer satisfaction and addressed the plastering issue to ensure you were happy with the works undertaken.
White Rock Property Care has given excellent service with regard to the damp in my home. The workers were hard working and very pleasant. I was always kept informed of the next stage as to when plasterers and carpenters were to arrive. All aspects of the work were completed with the utmost efficiency and there was always someone on hand to answer any questions. I would highly recommend White Rock and wish to say a big "thank you."
