Beware! This company has changed its name

This company has changed its name, it was Formula One Garage Doors, also known as Frontrunner Doors installed a pair of gates that were originally May 2016 through a contractor called F1 constructions ltd Ryde Isle of Wight, it is now end of April 2017) We have withheld full payment for the above until such time as a suitable guarantee was agreed for the gates as they were not of the material we asked for nor were they galvanised as per our requirements We did say that we would accept them should a longer guarantee than the one originally sent (incidentally this was dated to begin a year before the gates were installed ?) was to run after the corrected details were sent to us, we e mailed them twice asking and did not get a reply.
The gates only have been useable since original installation a very short amount of that time, otherwise they were away being adjusted and altered by F1. The gates finally came back and when being used and the driveway was being re surfaced, "the hinge sheared off when being removed and the gate fell onto a digger” as per the main person on site from Dempsey’s We did not witness this incident ourselves. ( We had previous to the incident expressed concern and disappointment with the hinges to F 1 several times) , They also when opened from the outside fall beyond the stop point towards the person opening them . This we deemed dangerous and after pointing this out to F1 they did fit two adapted brackets to our pillars . However our request’s to have them change the design of the hinges were largely dismissed by them. There have also been other painting issues and snagging’s.
The damaged gate and hinge was then taken away by F1 the original makers, as directed by the Driveway Contractor for repair. It was some 6 weeks before we got them back despite chasing Shortly after we got the gates back, I telephoned pointing out to F1 that the top hinge peg on the supposedly repaired gate and hinge was loose( not solid) and at sitting an angle. They came out, removed the gate and took away the hinge once again. On return the re-fitted hinge upright pin that the gate sits on was this time firm but still fitted at an odd angle Some days later I was closing the gates on a windy rainy evening having returned from a trip, one gate ( the gate that had been repaired came off the hinge , having sheared again and fell towards me. Luckily I was able to hold the gate with extreme difficulty (as I am registered disabled) until my wife came to my aid and between us we managed to get it in a position to drop forward over and on to the ground in front of me. When I informed F1 the following day they did call later the same day and scratched there heads saying they would take this up with "The Boss". Days later I telephoned F1as I had not had a reply to my previous e mails to speak to “ The Boss “ and ask what was to be done. Eventually ’The Boss “ himself did come out for a home visit . I explained to him that I was very angry with the danger his company had put myself and possibly my wife, because she was the one who usually closed the gates, if she had on that day, she would probably have been badly injured. Thank goodness she had been driving that evening. Your company/ or F1 may well have been sued by us for faulty workmanship. The gates are now back with us after more delays.. However despite informing both F1 and Frontrunner Doors/ Formula 1 Garage Doors that they are not fitted properly , the former 3-4 weeks ago.The only correspondence we have had is an other request for payment and a very one sided report plus an unsatisfactory extension to the guarantee and investigation into and why I have experienced the problems that I had requested 2 months ago! DO NOT GO THERE!.

Having now paid for an independent Engineers report that confirmed that the gates were dangerous. The gates and hinges have been removed by them after two years of frustration sneakily one day when we were away. No making good was done after removal.
