Wild Isles Camper Hire Reviews 

We had a fantastic time hiring "Isla" and exploring the Outer Hebrides. The campervan was really well equipped and had everything we needed. The bikes were also great and we enjoyed exploring Eriksay on them. Claire and Pete were great hosts and were really helpful with any questions we had. I would highly recommend.

To Clare and Pete - we had a wonderful time touring Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist and Berneray in Gertie Van.
She had everything we needed for our comfort. It was great to be able to wild camp in such beautiful places, go on a trek and come back for a brew or a hot meal. Impeccably clean and well - kitted out.
Gertie drove like a dream, making it a pleasure to use the single track roads and learn the courtesy of pulling in to passing places to allow others to pass with a wave and a smile.
Sitting comfortably in Gertie with our binoculars at Loch Druidibeag and on the Committee Road, seeing eagles, red deer, short-eared owls and a beautiful hen harrier whilst being deafened by the cuckoos is a memory to treasure into our dotage!
Also for a pair of pensioner hippies, revisiting the surfer-dude lifestyle at Balranald campsite and swimming with our wetsuits in the turquoise bay before a breakfast of hot bacon and scallop cobs was a sheer delight!
I could go on and on about the pleasures Gertie allowed us ..... the Minke whales, seals and puffins on Mingulay, the otter dancing on the beach on South Uist, the many wonderful sea birds at Balranald , the empty roads and sharp clean sea air.......
A once in a lifetime, dream holiday!

All the organisation was great, and the campervan as described. Claire met us with the van at the place we chose (Eriskay) and even brought some shopping so that we could drive straight to the campsite for our first night. The only negative was that the fridge packed in. Pete came straight out to the campsite to try and fix it but it had truly died. We managed by using campsite fridges so not too bad. The campervan had no heater either which might be a problem later in the year. Otherwise all good.

We had an amazing nine days rental of Isla, she was everything we were expecting. We hired the bikes and these were great. Claire and Peter met us at the airport for pick up and drop off to provide a seamless service. They will do anything to assist you,

The Camper was exactly what we needed to explore the Outer Hebrides. Equipped with everything we needed and small enough for the narrow roads.

We hired a campervan for 3 nights. It was very well equipped and in great condition. It was a brilliant way to tour the Outer Hebrides and gave us the flexibility to explore and then stay somewhere nearby. Wild Isle Campers were great to deal with. Very helpful and friendly.

Realy lovely company. My only reason for downrating is that the security deposit was removed from my account rather than kept as a pending payment as is standard. It would have been helpful to have made this extra clear for next time. Otherwise a really great experience.

Our experience using the wild Isles camper vans was fantastic. Claire and Pete were extremely helpful and very responsive at all points of the trip, from planning to pick up and drop off and answering any questions that we had. The van is exactly as described on the website- there were no surprises or disappointments! Claire was extremely helpful and went above and beyond as a “host”! I can’t imagine better people to rent a van from! Claire and Pete were extremely helpful, reliable and relaxed in their approach to the rental. It was a great adventure exploring the Outer Hebrides and it was a trip of a lifetime!!

We really enjoyed our 5 nights in Flora exploring Harris and Lewis. Communication with Pete and Claire was excellent, and the van was perfect for the two of us. Many thanks!

This was a great transportation and accommodation option for us to get from South Uist to North Uist. Claire and Pete were fantastic in setting this up, very flexible for pick up and drop off locations and happy to answer questions at all times. The camper was very clean and had everything we needed for our few days. It was a great way to explore the Uists. Many thanks to you both!

Flora was an excellent support vehicle for our cycle long the Hebridean Way.

I have just returned from an amazing wild-camping week in the Uists and smaller isles and can’t wait to go back and explore some more. The freedom to park up and sleep anywhere I fancied was fabulous and I found some awesome spots. The van (Isla) was just perfect: easy to drive, well fitted inside and equipped with everything I needed, including extra warm bedding as requested, and everything absolutely spotless (after a previous bad experience of van rental, where I spent my first evening washing someone else's greasy pots and pans, this was a great relief). Right from the start Pete and Claire were great communicators, quick to respond to queries and really helpful about travel arrangements. I can definitely recommend Wild Isles Camper Hire without hesitation and wish them well in their business. They are first-rate.
