Someone stole my laptop and credit card? No answer from customer services!

We rented a room through wimdu to a girl and she has stolen my flatmates laptop, Christmas presents, clothes and other belongings. She also didn't pay for the room as wimdu told us it was cancelled but only after she was in the flat. They told us to get cash payment from her but she didn't pay. She will probably be carrying a big black suitcase. She said she was half French and half Isralian. She has a swollen area on her face - she said it was a spider bite but maybe somebody punched her already. She has a necklace on with the star of Israel. She said her name was Hanna and her email address was French ending in fr. She has now cancelled this email account. Just in case you see her and she is trying to rent someone's else room!

Worst Customer Service ever.

Straight to the point:

They phoned us to tell us they had cancelled our booking a week beforehand despite having booked 2 months in advance (apparently due to a double booking?). This was a booking for new years btw, pretty difficult to find a decent second option at that time of year.

They wouldn't refund us immediately, we needed that money desperately to fix the situation. They offered to pay it back after a month. Pretty horrendous. They offered to book a different place for us which was more expensive and told us we would have to pay the difference.

This company has no idea how to operate a customer service scheme, book with them and be prepared to get sorely disappointed if something goes wrong. Normally a company would upgrade you and have an immediate backup option for their customers.

Kidding clients, users

We completed the payment of three obviously available rooms but none has been confirmed. You proceed the payment, give your bank account information, accept the debit advice and nothing happened. The wimdu service told me, i have to wait for the request of the hoster. Wow great, it lasts a couple of days respectively weeks to get a response. At the end the answer was: sorry, not available. what is your budget? Wtf... You are blocked to book another offer, because you don't know is it working, do you get the offer or is a debit on your account... So tell me why is the offer placed as available? Three times. I will never join wimdu again this is fake and kidding customers.
It is a pity that i cannot place screenshots of that process. Have a nice day!

Excellent website

The website is very easy to use. What I have seen so far of the available appartments they are clean and well maintained and the price is very attractive. When you have a family of five it is not easy to book a hotel since most hotels are restricted to four persons per room, but Wimdu has opened up a completely new way of enjoying the world around me.

Hosting at Wimdu

Hosting apartment at Wimdu is out of the question the worst you can do!!!

With out any kind of notice, Wimdu support canceled all bookings with an angry attitude at my calls.
Same attitude by Wimdu Payment Team:
Due to a technical problem, the payment hadn't been done, though you received the confirmation email.
We have processed it today and you should receive another confirmation email soon.

My experience: DO NOT HOST AT WIMDU. !!!

THE WORST TRAVEL WEBSITE IN THE WORLD!!!! YOU WILL ONLY LOSE MONEY!!!!

WHERE DO I START??

1) The worst customer service!!!!! first of all, unless you call on weekend afternoons (European time), you will wait and wait and wait and wait on the phone. then, after waiting for about 20 minutes, the recording tells you that nobody can answer your call and to call back later. Then the creeeeeepy recording voice closes the call!!!!!!! i called back 4 times in a row and still had this happen!!

2) When you DO get to talk with someone, with rare exceptions barely, the staff has NO CLUE what you are talking about. Seriously, I spend about 10-12 minutes explaining over and over what it is im trying to say. The staff usually ASSUMES they know what you are calling about, and you have to be explain several times what you want. Then they tell you that someone will get back to you. That usually takes about 2 weeks to happen.

3) I recently wrote to Wimdu 4 emails and made 4 phone calls over a 2-week period explaining something. i was assured by the 4 people I spoke to (Mara, Sonja, Sara) that the Wimdu staff would review my messages before doing something that I had asked about. Today, Estefania did exactly the opposite of what I had emailed called and emailed about, and in her email she talked about a different issue than the one that was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER FACE in my email that she responded to! If Wimdu will employ people like Estefania (and they do for sure), you will have a terrible time and waste your time with them like I did.

Finally, if you have any serious issues with Wimdu do not expect them to engage you. Instead they run away from you and are afraid of you. I have been a very active member and they have made A LOT of money from me, but instead of calling me when I request it they hide behind emails and short, impersonal, repeated and low-brow responses. They DO NOT deserve my business or anyone else's. Needless to say I have been steadily moving away from them.

Finally there is a guy who works there named Franz who actually was the ONLY guy who had his head screwed on straight. They told me he is "sick" now and they dont know when he will be back. For sure he left there because they are a bunch of imbicles.

good idea in principal - yet the "details" should still be refined

first of all:
I like this new "idea" a lot - private people staying with private people - as a real win-win-situation. (ok, the hotels see that differently)

what I dislike about wimdu:
- they send WAY to many e-mails (I have them in my mailbox about every second day)
- if you have questions to the wimdu-team, you get the feeling, they just answer in ready-made word-blocks (not really going 'into' your question), often in really bad german or make promises "we will forward this to the management" which I doubt that it will ever happen.
- they promise vouchers, if you evualate the flat you have lived in, and if you do so, they send it to you and it has a very short experience date
- when you book a flat, there is a certain fee added on the price for wimdu - yet you only get to know this amount after you have pressed the button "I book now" - and the fee differs from flat to flat. for me this is not serious behaviour.

hopefully wimdu will work on those points and try to get better (they ought to as there are a few competitors on this market already).

The worst experience ever.

Me and my boyfriend rented an apartment in Barcelona this week.
The surprise came after 10 minutes in bed, when we realised that we were being bited by a plague of BEDBUGS which were sharing the matress where we supposed to sleep . We had to spend the whole night lying on the floor by the kitchen covered with our own bed sheets.
After 4 days I still waiting for my money back and fighting with them for the refund of the first night we passed in the floor of the house.
The people in charged of the customer service is totally incompetent and unprofessional and they do not take responsabilities for the services they are offering.
No quality control
Not Health and safety control
Do not trust them, you will lose time and money and you will be treated with no respect and consideration at all.
SHAME OF COMPANY
