I’ve had a previous hair transplant and I have to say the service here is so much better, the surgery itself was smooth and professional the surgeon (Dr Thomas) and his team talking me through the procedure both before and during, and the aftercare with Mihir has been first class, responding promptly to any queries I’ve had and checking in on progress. I’ve had 1500 grafts implanted in the crown and really pleased with the density achieved. Excited to see the results.

My experience with my two hair transplants has been nothing short of amazing, and I couldn't be happier with the outcomes. From my first interaction with Husnain Mustaq I was put at ease. when I went in for a consultation with Dr Malkani there was no overselling just advise of what is and is not possible.
In the lead up to my treatment the clinic were in touch and on the day of treatment the whole team we excellent and comforting.
The post op care was great too with Husnain in touch every day and quickly.
Now we just have to wait for the results!!

I underwent a hair transplant procedure in January 2024. Throughout the procedure, both practitioners were repeatedly coughing. One of them coughed approximately every 10 seconds, and the other every few minutes. This was distracting and raised concerns regarding hygiene and professionalism during a surgical procedure.
Additionally, prior to the procedure, there was an evident discussion between the practitioners indicating that my case had not been properly discussed or prepared in advance. This further contributed to my feeling that I was not in safe or competent hands.
I also have serious concerns regarding whether the crown area was treated with the number of grafts we had agreed upon. My initial impression after the procedure was that the graft placement was very sparse. While I cannot verify the exact number of grafts implanted, this concern is based on both visual outcome and overall result.
For context, I had experienced gradual hair loss over the past 15 years and have consistently followed recommended medical treatments, including finasteride and minoxidil, prior to and following the procedure. Despite this, the outcome represents, at best, a minimal improvement (approximately 5%), which is not consistent with what was discussed or what would reasonably be expected given the investment made.
The follow-up appointments felt performative rather than diagnostic. An expert would briefly review the result and state that it “looked good,” despite the visible lack of density and overall ineffective outcome.
Although I am not a medical professional, it is clear to me that the graft placement and/or quantity were insufficient. A competent practitioner should have selected an appropriate number of grafts and applied them strategically to produce a meaningful improvement. This was not achieved in my case.
Hair transplant procedures are not trivial. They involve significant cost, recovery time, and long-term implications. They cannot realistically be repeated every two years without consequences. When performed poorly, the impact on a patient is substantial.
Given the outcome and the concerns outlined above, I feel it is important to share this experience so that future patients can make fully informed decisions.

Adam has been very helpful throughout the process. The lead up to the transplant, the reviews and updates after. You wouldn’t even be able to tell that I used to have a bad hairline.

Over two years has passed since my hair transplant and I'm here to give an honest review. I have mixed feelings about Wimpole, the process and the result.

Process: Friendly and helpful support staff, good clinical process without complications, but Dr May is hands off and I did not find him very personable. e.g. it was hard to discuss my desired hairline with him and the quick consulation to draw a hairline felt very rushed. He walked off when he'd drawn that for me so I had to try and adjust it with the assistant. He also leaves the room for most of the procedure and two assistants implant the hairs.

He also walked past me after the surgery and didn't look at me or speak to me. I found it very strange and disconcerting. It put me off ever going here again.

I did have follow up texts with the consultant (Danny?) and I mentioned my gaps and I mentioned my strange experience with Dr May but it was never really addressed and I kept being told to wait for the result for another x number of months. Then I heard no more from Danny.

My hair is passable but not great, one half of my hairline was done by a male and one half by a female assistant. The female did a good job and this side looks more natural. The male side (left) looks bad, it has a few double hair shafts at the front of my hairline and the directions are unnatural and gappy. I have to hide it with my original hair. There is a noticable circular gap just behind my new hairline on this left side.

As the consultant never really helped me address the gap and told me to keep waiting, a long time passed and it never improved. I will have to get it fixed with a reputable surgeon at some point as I don't want to have the Dr May experience again.

Just back from my hair transplant at The Wimpole Clinic, Harley Street and what an experience. I was a little nervous but no need. Wow, such professionals from the first consultation with Matt to arriving on the morning at reception and met by smiles. All staff were reassuring, friendly, caring and guided me through every step. Perfection from Dr Ricardo and his team and great results along with 5 star service and attention. Here you pay for the best and you certainly get it (do not compromise with cheaper options) .... thank you and well done Team Wimpole, I appreciated your kindness and hopefully the superb results.

Mihir was friendly, helpful and efficient through the process. Was a little nervous on the day but I was soon put at ease, Dr Thomas and the team were efficient and the process was pretty much pain free .

One year on from my transplant, I’m incredibly happy with the results. In the buildup, day of surgery and aftercare, I couldn’t ask for more personable and knowledgable support. Dr Correia was very thorough and immediately made me feel at ease with the plans while Stephen has been unbelievably attentive, kind and reliable.

This surgery has given me a new-found confidence and I genuinely can’t think of a single action that has had such a positive impact on my day-to-day life.

I had my beard transplant at Wimpole Ponteland in April 2025. The whole experience was superb and professional. Mathu the Office Manager explained everything clearly and helped with flexible dates, can’t thank him enough and for keeping in touch over the last 8 months and always putting the customer first. Any concerns I was one direct phone call away. Dr Kalra is totally professional and made the whole personal experience along with Emma & Stan excellent, again I have nothing but praise, the results have been great and I thank them all for that. Wimpole made the whole experience straight forward. In closing they look after you for 12 months after the procedure with face to face reviews and I have no hesitation in recommending.

I had a face to face consultation. Where we went over the procedure and meet the surgeon. Had my operation on the 6th of October 2025. Felt very taken care of. The team was very nice and was not nervous. Slept through the whole thing.

I’m currently recovering from the surgery at home. The gave me all i need for my aftercare. All my questions were answered and AJ always kept me informed from beginning to end.

I went for a hair transplant at this clinic nearly 3 years ago in London hardly street as I assumed they were pretty decent and knew what they were doing. The surgeon messed up my hairline and wasn’t even straight, they told me to bare with it for several months which I did and still had no improvements. I was assigned an aftercare assistance called Fayaz who was speaking to me throughout the journey, he eventually was ghosting me and I later found out that he has left Wimpole and no one at Wimpole had the decency to tell me and I wasn’t getting any help at all. They offered me a sexond procedure to top up the crown and to this day no difference to my first transplant, my hair line is still not aligned properly and am embarrassed by how it looks, 3 years on and after two procedures I am
stil unhappy. I called Wimpope today and one of the aftercare assistants James called me for a chat. I explained that I am still unhappy with the results and having been to two independent clinics they are also in agreement that my hair line is not allinged and that there wasn’t any need for a second procedure as it should have all been covered on the first. James told me that “ I was moaning” about certain things such as my hairline and the crown density. This clearly shows Wimpole doesn’t have professional people who know how to talk to their clients. James doesn’t know how to address clients, it’s so shocking when I have paid several thousands of pounds to be spoken to in this way, I feel he needs to learn some people skills or have addional training as you cannot accuse a client of moaning it’s pretty digusting, I made the biggest mistake of my life going to Wimpole they do not care, they just want your money and feel they can just talk to you like crap and however they want, no compassion, no decency, no professionalism. I am now in talks with my solicitor and my local MP about this situation. James also said that he didn’t deserve me rejecting his calls today, yet he believes that i deserved to be called a moaner, I have consumer rights and If i’m unhappy with something it’s my right to raise this, pretty terrible company all round I wouldn’t recommend a hair transplant here at all, you will just not get the results they make out you will get!

I’m absolutely delighted with the results of my two hair transplants which is the most important thing. A massive bonus is that the staff were lovely and the clinic is a really nice place.

I was very lucky to have had the luxury of getting a great room with a nice view of Cavendish Square Gardens with its lovely trees which helped calm my nerves during my hair transplants.

I went in with a very obvious male pattern baldness receded hairline and thinning. I was male presenting at the time and I told them I wanted to have a rounded feminine hairline as I had just started my gender transition at the time. They were very accommodating and understanding. They knew exactly what to do to achieve this and unlike other clinics I’ve been to, they didn’t question my gender identity or try to put up any barriers to access this gender affirming surgery which was such a relief for me as I had been let down by other clinics I had consultations with in the past.

I’ve now completed my transition and I’m so happy to have been treated with such kindness and respect from everyone there throughout my journey.

I do have to say that I personally found the hair transplants to be incredibly painful and at times, I was crying from the excruciating pain. Something I’ve never done as an adult before. I don’t think this was anyone’s fault, I believe everybody has different pain thresholds and I just hadn’t experienced anything like this in the past. I wanted to add this in my review just so others know that this level of pain is a potential part of any hair transplant process but by no means do I want this to be seen as anything negative about Wimpole Clinic which is why I’ve kept my review a five star one because I genuinely believe that I went to the best place for a hair transplant and I’m so happy I did.

I would highly recommend Wimpole Clinic to everyone. I wish I could post my before and after photos here but sadly I can’t. You’ll just have to believe me when I say that my results are absolutely incredible!

So pleased with the result. Had my transplant on 22nd November 2024 and just had my yearly review with Adam in Bristol. The whole experience has been so professional, from surgery in London to regular aftercare in Bristol. Can’t fault the clinic. A huge thank you to the team.

From the FaceTime consultation, the face to face meeting and all the way through to the surgery the whole team were amazing.
The day of the surgery I was quite nervous, but after a short while I was made to feel relaxed. I was informed on everything that was going to happen throughout the day and what I should expect. I’m currently recovering from the surgery at home and the aftercare is just as good. I know if I have any questions they’ll get back to me ASAP.
