From start to finish Kate and Dr. Barry were thorough and very clear on exactly what stages of the process would be and what to expect and be comfortable with. After starting my hair transplant journey 8 months ago with: Wimpole Clinic London Harley Street, I can honestly say the whole experience has been excellent from start to finish!

The moment I walked into the clinic everyone was kind & welcoming. A huge thank you to Stefano, my consultant. He was brilliant throughout the entire process- professional, reassuring, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly for me, from the first consultation through to the aftercare.

During the first consultation, Dr Ricardo also introduced himself to me as my surgeon. He gave me knowledgeable information on the day. After reviewing my hair, both himself and Stefano recommended me to have 1900 grafts to straighten my hairline.

Procedure itself was carried out professionally, the team made me feel comfortable the entire day. During lunchtime they give you a nice lunch, which gave me a huge energy boost for the second phase of the day. Whole day went pretty fast and smooth considering the length of the surgery. I’d also like to thank Dr Ricardo and his team for doing such an amazing job and looking after me.

For the aftercare, I was given a package to take home with simple instructions to follow, on how to look after your fresh grafts during the healing process. Stefano went through everything with me before I left the clinic, to make sure I understood everything. He told me the importance of the do’s & dont’s and what to expect along the way. Initially thought the healing process was going to be difficult, but In fact it was straightforward. I messaged Stefano everyday for the next 2 weeks, to update him with photos and get feedback during the healing phase. Thankfully I had no complications, he told me I was doing everything correctly. Any questions I had along the way, he messaged back very quickly to give me guidance.

The results are coming through really well now. The before & after photos are incredible, a massive difference in terms of change. I’m genuinely so happy with the progress and how natural my hairline now looks. The journey itself is not even over yet.

I still remember the moment I decided to go ahead with a hair transplant. Like most people, I had my doubts—but choosing Wimpole Clinic turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.

From the start, everything felt professional and reassuring. On the day of the surgery, Dr Ricardo immediately put me at ease. The procedure itself was surprisingly comfortable—completely painless—and I felt relaxed throughout.

The real test, for me, was what would happen afterwards. But the 10-day recovery plan was seamless, with no complications at all. The healing process felt straightforward, and even things like the scab removal—which I had expected to be difficult—were incredibly smooth. At that point, I started to feel genuinely excited about the results to come.

A big part of that confidence came from Husnain. Throughout the entire journey, he was always available to answer my questions—quickly, clearly, and with genuine care. Whether it was a small concern or a general check-in, he was consistently responsive and helpful, which made a huge difference.

Fast forward to today, and I can honestly say the results have been incredible. I now have no gaps or bald spots, and my hair looks fuller than it has in years. I followed all the recommended products and aftercare guidance from Husnain, which I believe played a big role in the outcome.

At my 6-month check-up, the transformation really hit me—the difference was huge. The growth has been amazing, and I genuinely love how my hair looks now. What stood out most to me was how natural the hairline is. It’s been carefully designed to account for how the hair naturally drops onto the forehead—something that can easily be overlooked, but makes a massive difference in the final result.

I had a very good experience with Wimpole, starting with the initial consultation with KJ in Liverpool. He has been very helpful throughout and it’s beneficial that he has had a procedure himself so is very informed and can speak from experience.

KJ kept me updated throughout, even checking up regularly post surgery. I had my surgery done at the Manchester clinic, and the surgeon and staff including Dr Band, Bose and Brandon made sure I was comfortable and the surgery was a success. I am very happy with the result and I am still seeing improvements 12 months post surgery!

The surgeon and team were great on the day, explained everything and made it all as comfortable as possible. Simone doing the post-op care was fabulous, really supportive and helpful, explaining everything clearly and giving great advice and guidance on this important part of it, real pleasure to have helping me.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Wimpole Clinic.

I had a hair transplant in Turkey back in 2016 and, honestly, the difference between that experience and this one was night and day. From my first consultation with Carly through to the procedure itself, I felt genuinely looked after and supported.

Dr Ricardo was excellent throughout. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted to achieve and clearly cared about delivering the best possible result rather than simply getting the procedure done. Billie, the technician, was also fantastic, professional, reassuring and incredibly attentive throughout the process.

In total, I had 3,100 grafts total, 2500 placed in the front and the rest 600 in the crown. The density and overall result have exceeded my expectations. The outcome looks natural, and I'm genuinely delighted with how it's turned out.

What stood out most was that the whole team really cared about the result. I never felt like just another patient. Everyone was invested in achieving the best outcome possible, and that made a huge difference.

I recently had my post-procedure check-up with Wimpole Clinic, so I thought it would be a good time to leave a review.

I was originally very close to booking a procedure abroad when my missus suggested having a consultation in the UK first, just for comparison. I didn’t see any downside to it, so I arranged a free consultation with Wimpole Clinic, who at the time were very highly rated. Back in August 2025, I met with Dr Peter Barron and my patient liaison, Luxman. Following that consultation, I decided to go with Wimpole instead — and looking back, it was definitely the right decision.

Overall, the consultation process felt informative, relaxed, and completely pressure-free. It was a conversation about expectations,
options, and realistic outcomes, which allowed me to make an informed decision without any hard sell.

I visited the Harley Street clinic in September last year. On arrival, I was greeted by Luxman at reception and then taken through to the treatment room. Dr Barron carefully talked me through the procedure and began mapping out the hairline we had discussed during the consultation. At that point, any apprehension I had completely disappeared because of the attention to detail and diligence shown by Dr Barron.

Throughout the procedure, I was looked after by some exceptional technicians — Nalid, Shree, and Sophie. There were no shortcuts or half measures; everything was carried out to an extremely high standard they were completely focused on the task in hand. Seven and a half hours later (including a lunch break), the grafts were complete. The entire experience was essentially pain-free, with the only minor discomfort coming from the numbing injections, which felt like bee stings at worst.

The procedure itself was a very positive experience from start to finish, and Dr Barron is clearly a highly talented individual. I feel fortunate that he carried out my procedure.

The aftercare during the first 10 days was also very good. Luxman was available via WhatsApp throughout the recovery period and answered any questions I had quickly and professionally which was really reassuring.

That said, there were some areas where the experience could have been improved. A few months after the procedure, I had some general questions and emailed the clinic multiple times over a six-week period without receiving a reply. In the end, I had to contact Luxman directly before I eventually received a response. My follow-up check-up was also delayed by around two months due to a lack of communication from the clinic, and again I had to chase things up.

For me, this lack of engagement and organisation with existing patients is the one aspect that stopped the overall experience from feeling completely polished and consistent. From a patient perspective,
communication and organisation play a huge role in overall satisfaction and managing expectations. From Wimpole’s perspective, improving this area would add significant value to what is otherwise a very strong service.

As for the results — they’ve been really encouraging so far. Around the 5–6 month mark, I genuinely worried that the procedure hadn’t worked because growth seemed very limited. Then, roughly a month later, things
started progressing and I finally began to see the beginnings of a hairline again, which has been a great feeling. I’m excited to see how
things continue to develop over the coming months, particularly in terms of density.

I also received positive feedback from both Luxman and Dr Olaf during my check-up, which reassured me that everything is progressing as expected. To be completely honest, even if my hair stayed exactly as it is now, I’d still be happy with the outcome — so I’m very optimistic about what’s still to come.

For anyone considering a procedure, my advice would simply be to do it sooner rather than later, regardless of who you choose — although
Wimpole is certainly a solid option. Results take time and are easily a year in the making, so personally I only wish I’d done it sooner.

Overall, I’m happy with how things have turned out so far. And for anyone currently sitting at the 4, 5, or 6-month stage post-procedure and worrying like I was — hang in there. It does get better. Trust the process.

I had a great experience with Wimpole Clinic from start to finish. After previously having a disappointing experience elsewhere, I was especially nervous about finding a clinic that truly understood Afro hair but the professionalism and expertise here immediately put me at ease.

My first appointment with (my Trichologist) Marie -Royce Book was amazing .She was professional ,empathetic and kind .She explained all steps in details and addressed my anxieties with evidence based answers .
