Safestyle were patronising and annoying and not worth continuing with. Everest did not turn up. Still waiting for Anglian. So lovely people at WindowsGuide - shame about the window salesmen
They did not listen to my request. I specifically told them i wanted composite Windows NOT upvc yet they still sent me contact of companies that only dealt with upcv. Time wasting for both of us!

Quick response but disappointing selection
Very quick response, but none of the companies selected have products with Secured by Design accreditation. Disappointing and unclear how any proposed companies are selected.

Found this company on the web - and bingo I now have three quotes from local people.
Excellent, it took all the leg work from me with fantastic results
Check your installer with Fensa and donot rely on Windowsguide.
Windowsguide.co.uk use double glazing instalkers who are NOT members of the Competent Members Scheme, so their recommendation should be treated with suspicion as you may not be getting what you are expectine. The installers I used (Tradestyle Windows Limited of Milton Keynes)are allegedly a member of the Competent Members Scheme, but when I checked I found out they were not and that they didnot inform my local council of their intention to do the installation and incurred aditional expence for my Council to inspect the installation and issue a retrospective Regularisation certificate. A conpetent members scheme certificate or a local authority certificate is a legal requirement for double glazed window installation, so check before employing anyone as to their credentials.
Bewarned .I informed Windowsguide of this, but they still recommend
this company.

My experience with Windows Guide was …poor and stressful
My experience with Windows Guide was mixed. They recently recommended a known fraudster to fit my windows, called Luke Tester. This trader had appeared in an article in the Guardian online, and stolen money from several people in the excess of £2,000 plus. I do not think they realised this was the case, but their research team failed to pick up on it (when it only took me 15 minutes to dig up the information online). As soon as I alerted them to the information, they adopted a very hands off approach, and told me they had no authority over the companies they list. They did remove his details from the site but they didn't take any responsibility for their part in my money loss. The only positive was that their staff were friendly and correspondence was good, but this doesn't make up for their lack of awareness and their failure to take ownership for making such a poor recommendation.

was not happy with the pressure I was put under by the person who came from safe style I was told I would receive a no obligation quote .he kept saying I had to commit saying he had reduced the price. The following day I received a number of calls saying they could discount the quote. I told the person on the phone I was ending the call but he continued to pressure me. In the end I ended the call. But received a large amount of calls.
