Italy is one of my favourite countries and this was a new thing to try whilst visiting. Had a great time on the truffle hunting tour which fun, authentic and of course delicious.

Paulo and Antonio were excellent guides…
Paulo and Antonio were excellent guides for our day. The bus was comfortable most of the time but it was very hot that day and sometimes the bus has a hard time keeping the inside cool enough. The wine tour, lunch, wine tasting, the boat tour, Antonio's driving, Paulo's knowledge were all excellent and more than I expected. It was a fantastic day!

Very disappointed in our tour guide
Very disappointed in our tour guide, he was not friendly at all, almost rude at times. Our tour was marketed as a “small group” and we ended up with 20 people on a bus and met up with additional groups at the wineries. We were hoping for a more personalized experience. The bus itself was subpar and the AC did not work on the ride home. Overall would not recommend. Would pay extra next time for a private tour.

Great tour with a few hiccups
The Douro Valley is probably the prettiest area we've ever done a wine tour (and we've done dozens). The wine at all stops was very good quality and the lunch food was good (not great). Our van was filled to the max so I ended up sitting in the middle/front seat for the 3 or so hours we were driving, which really wasn't great. They should limit the vans to 6 people, as this was just uncomfortable. And the boat ride portion is literally just that - you get on and go downstream for 30, then another 30 upstream. There was no welcome by the crew on the boat, no offer to taste or purchase wine, etc. It was very odd and everyone was a little confused. But beyond those two little hiccups it was a nice experience and a great day trip from Porto.

A fantastic day trip from Porto
A great tour of two wineries (one traditional, one more modern), an amazing gourmet lunch and a lovely gentle boat trip along the sensational Douro!

This was a great wine and river tour…
This was a great wine and river tour that was very reasonably priced. We visited two wineries, had a wonderful lunch and a river tour of the Douro Valley. Our guide, Jorge, and driver, Manuel, were wonderful. Jorge was very personable and entertaining. As one would expect to try Port wines in Porto, it would be nice if the wineries offered different wines. Not a fan of port wine but this doesn’t take away from the tour. Highly recommend this tour.

We just arrived to Bordeaux and our feeling about the city was mixed emotion… Soon as we started the bike tour everything has changed. Andrews personality, knowledge and passion made us so welcome and did such an amazing job and made our day so enjoyable. He even went extra mile to make our experience even better. This was one of our best day ever. We are so happy to choose this company and would recommend it to anyone 100%. Thank you for the amazing day with you guys.Zack & Eniko
Great experience overall
Great experience overall! Anabela and Silvino were great tourguides too, truly enjoyed our tour with them :)
Tuscany: June 2022
As always, Winerist planned and organised an amazing few days down in Tuscany, where we visited not only top producers but also modern and slightly alternative ones, which gave us a great overall picture of the region. Visits & experiences (including a private chef) in Bolgheri, Chianti, Montepulciano & Montalcino all increased our knowledge. Communication was always timely and effective. They endeavour to really understand the nature of the trip and work to enhance the experience for all. Fantastic!
We loved our wine tour
We loved our wine tour, especially the first place we stopped. The wine, port, tour guide were top notch. The second place we stopped for port was not as great. The tour guide was hard to understand and it felt very rushed. The port was served warm. Our bus tour guide was amazing. She was funny, knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole day.

Our guide was great and the wineries…
Our guide was great and the wineries they were able to get us into was awesome!
Family friendly trip
We had an amazing trip with Luciana. Luciana took us to Petra where we met the amazing Francisco who was so great with our 2 year old. She was treated like a Queen which gave us room to enjoy the day. The wine was delicious, the architecture one of a kind and the lunch delicious. We then went onto another vinyard which was also beautiful and great to see.
Great tour of the Douro Valley!
Great tour, the Douro Valley is unmatched in it's vast beauty and landscapes. Our guide was extremely knowledgable about not only the region but of Portgual's rich history and how it relates to Porto & the Douro. The only downside was we didn't have time to plan ourselves, so booking a tour was convenient, and that meant visiting touristy wineries & port houses. It felt a little robotic at our three stops, but overall still a wonderful introduction to the DV.

The tour was fantastic
The tour was fantastic. All of the wineries had very friendly and knowledgeable hosts. We tasted and learned about many different wines and ports. The lunch was delicious. By the time we got to the boat ride the day was sunny and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The boat was a little disappointing as it was a modern design and not a historic wooden boat, but the point of the ride is to see the valley. The landscape was beautiful.

Escape to the Mosel
I loved the winetour 'Escape to the Mosel'! You get picked up around 11:15 by the driver, 'our friend from Melbourne' Carl, Carl has loads of knowledge of the wines in the region and is an easy going person. You will be visiting 2 or 3 wineries in this tour. My goal was to try the Riesling but I ended up liking the Pinot Blanc the most. The wineries are amazing, you are able to tast 10 wines! at each winery. In between the wineries you visit a very nice restaurant where you are able to get to know your groupmembers a little bit more. I was very lucky with my group.
Unfortunatly at the tours you don't see the productionproces en the sellars. My tip is to do the tour during the week because it can get very growded during the weekend.
Not good experience
Hi! The guide and driver were excellent! However, the experience was not good. The first winery did not provide a tour and the food was horrible. I do not think boiled rice with pieces of mushroom is risotto. When it is hot outside, you are drinking and that is the one meal of the day. They did provide some info about the different types of wine. The second winery again did not provide much of a tour and gave the smallest amounts of tastings. Overall, such a terrible experience. I wish I had just contacted the wineries on my own and set up my own experience. I would like a refund for this subpar experience.

We had a great time!
We had a great time on the Duoro Valley Wine tour. Our guide, Jorge, was excellent. We were definitely happy that we signed up for the tour as we learned a lot about the Port wines and saw some amazing sights along the way.

Beautiful region, fantastic tour
This trip is everything a trip to the Douro valley should be. Beautiful, good food, great wine, beautiful port.
Our guide Filippa was great, very knowledgeable, friendly, not in a hurry, and keen to show off this region.
Every vineyard was different but all were beautiful. The simplicity of the food was matched by its taste.
Fantastic day in good company.
Thank you
Half day tour to St Emilion
The tour was extremely enjoyable and interesting. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, we stopped in the town of st Emilion before heading to the Château were we learned about the process of producing wine followed by a tasting of 3 different wines.
Such a wonderful time
Such a wonderful time. The drive to Douro Valley was amazing. Our wine, olive oil, and honey tastings were great. Our lunch was delicious, but even better was the beautiful setting. Our river cruise was very relaxing. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
Private full day Douro tour
We had a private full day tour of the Douro valley with our lovely guide Yara.
The whole day was wonderful. We had a glorious drive to the Douro and then visited 3 different wineries along with a fabulous lunch at a restaurant in Pinhao.
The 3 wineries were all excellent but very different in size which made for a most interesting trip.
Yara was very knowledgeable about the area and the wines and she made sure that our day was absolutely fantastic.
We would definitely book with Winerist again!
