Avoid WJH Construction at All Costs
Avoid WJH Construction at All Costs – They Turned My Friend’s First Home Into a Living Nightmare
If I could give zero stars, I would. WJH Construction has failed on every imaginable level during what should have been one of the most exciting chapters of my friends’ lives—buying their first home. Instead, their gross negligence, corner-cutting, and total lack of accountability have made it a daily nightmare.
Let me be absolutely clear: WJH Construction should be avoided at all costs.
Structural Defects & Costly Leaks
From the beginning, there were serious structural defects in both the roof and master bathroom shower—issues that WJH either ignored or failed to properly construct. These defects led to persistent leaks, mold growth, and extensive interior damage across multiple rooms, costing me over $30,000 to repair. Despite repeated and well-documented complaints—many reported multiple times—WJH did absolutely nothing of substance to fix the problems.
Plumbing Shortcuts That Caused Basement Floods
The plumbing is nothing short of a disaster. Sloppily installed, poorly sealed, and far below even the most basic standards. Loose fixtures, inadequate drainage, and careless workmanship have caused multiple floods in my basement—again, all out of my own pocket. It’s clear their only concern was speed and saving money, not safety or quality.
Unfinished and Sloppy Work Throughout
Beyond the defective roof deck, there are glaring signs of carelessness throughout the home—siding and stucco that are incomplete, poorly applied, or entirely missing; unfinished paintwork; misaligned doors; and stairs that are uneven and unsafe. Even basic fixtures, like the kitchen faucet, failed within the first year. When they contacted WJH for support, the response was either rushed cosmetic band-aids or complete silence. Their follow-through is lacking—when they respond at all. They’ve since replaced the faucet themselves.
Incompetent Leadership & Nonexistent Customer Service
Their leadership is disconnected, dismissive, and nearly impossible to reach. Any trust in their management has been completely destroyed. They make promises they partially or don’t keep, avoid accountability at every turn, and show zero urgency or care about the serious issues they created. They’ve been forced to take legal action just to compel them to address the defects they’re clearly responsible for. No homeowner should be put in this situation.
Now in Legal Action
They are currently in legal proceedings with WJH Construction—because they handed them a structurally defective, leaky, flood-prone, and unfinished home, then acted as if they could simply walk away without consequence. Unfortunately, this appears to be part of a broader pattern. During the construction of their home, they learned they had also caused significant damage to an elderly neighbor’s property—damage that went unresolved for over a year until she was forced to sue them…and won. The financial burden, emotional strain, and ongoing anxiety they’ve caused my friends and their family are overwhelming. What should have been a joyful, fulfilling milestone has instead become a source of stress, depression, and deep personal regret.
Bottom Line
Do not trust WJH Construction, RF Edge (another one of their entities), or Hassan Edge. They cut corners, evade responsibility, and have no respect for their customers. Their first home—something that should have brought pride and peace—has instead brought endless frustration, enormous expense, and deep regret.
Consider this your warning: STAY FAR AWAY.
