Easy, no fuss. Excellent and prompt service

Company offers to collect all scrap metal from your premises and pay you according to the metal type and weight. Very friendly on the phone prior to collection although there was no response to my online enquiry apparently because it coincided with the office admin's holiday.

I had around 15kg of bright, braised copper worth around £5-£6 per kilo and another 20kg+ of copper wiring and water tank worth around £2-£3 per kilo as well as approximately 400kg of iron and steel worth about £10 in total. I also had aluminium, brass, tin and a variety of other metals after a major house renovation which probably would have been with another £30 or so in total. I'd estimate the total value of the metal to be around £150.

The collection itself went well, the men who came to collect my scrap were friendly and efficient and informed me that all I would need to do for payment would be to provide my preferred bank account details to the office. Payment was supposed to be made after the metal had been sorted and weighed that day.
I emailed the office within a couple of hours of the collection with the required information and followed up with a phone call which was not answered. The follow up email was also not answered, nor have any subsequent phone calls. To date no payment has been made, almost 3 weeks since collection.

The only reason they have 2 stars instead of 1 is because they did come and collect the scrap which included the low value iron and steel that would have cost me a couple of hundred pounds to dispose of myself if I'd had to hire a van and take it somewhere.
By all means give them a call if you only need to get rid of low value metal, but if you have anything of value like copper, lead or aluminium, I'd advise taking it to a trusted metal recycler yourself.
