Terrible service

When it works, it's great but they often don't deliver, deliver the wrong item or arrive hours late as if food from a restaurant or fast food joint is good for hours sitting in a delivery bag.

When mishaps happen they take no responsibility and they don't offer refunds

You can't wait hours for your order to…

You can't wait hours for your order to show up only to have them tell you there order isnt coming. then they give you a 15 shekel credit. which is basically getting a free can of cola in exchange for waiting hours to eat. I dont care that you get a refund. in the USA if the pizza doesnt come in time you get a free pizza. pathetic. i am done with wolt

They dump bad produce in delivery orders

Wolt used to be a good service but it has really become awful. The convenience of order it is not enough to justify their inflated prices, horrible quality of their fresh produce and the awful delivery/customer service.

They constantly deliver overripe, bruised, spoiled produce. Or, they deliver produce that is weeks from being edible. I have needed to request a refund for bad produce in each of my last 6 orders!!!

But the problem is not just the quality of their food.

Two weeks ago the Tamara popsicles were completely liquid - not just soft - liquid. I had to throw them out and request a refund.

A day later I ordered ₪200 of fresh fish. I told the delivery driver to leave it in front of my door. When I opened the door a few minutes later I saw 6 salmon fillets in a Styrofoam tray loosely covered in plastic and room temperature. No bag, no ice. But the worst part (yes it gets worse) is that he left this open tray of fish on the filthy FLOOR and on my even filthier doormat. Like a dog bowl.

Again - I had to call for a refund. The third party store made the refund and called me personally to apologize. Wolt took no responsibility for putting an open package of fresh fish on a filthy doormat (there was a table but the delivery person chose the floor!!)

I wish I could say this is the wirst experience, but it was not.

Last week I ordered from Wolt Florentine - their own store. I placed a large order and nearly all the produce was rotten and moldy. Kale was yellow, broccoli was starting to turn brown … you get better produce at a food bank. Again, I took photos and spent 30 explaining the problem. I managed to get a refund.

But two days later I opened the watermelon and it was spoiled! I opened the pineapple and it was hard as a rock and tasted like lemons. It would be weeks until I could eat it.

Again I sent photos and explained the issue. But the next day they said they spoke to guy at the store (who remember the specific watermelon and pineapple he sent me) and he says they looked good. store (which is them) and they said the fruit LOOKED good when it left the store. I am sure they also thought the other rotten fruit “looked good”. They added that they already refunded part of the order and it has been 3 days so it’s too late (but I reported it the day before). This went on for days until a manager just repeated the same nonsense except now it was six days 🤔 This was always going to be their answer.

I think they just offload bad produce in their online orders since the person is not there to see it. I can’t find another explanation for the consistency of this problem.

I am done with Wolt - it’s just exhausting. I will go back to using Carmella or just order from the store itself.

Abnormally high delivery prices to push subscriptions

Wolt added a service fee that is as high as 50% as the delivery fee, making it by far the most expensive food delivery service out there. You get to pay their drivers, the restaurant pays Wolt fees, and now you have to pay Wolt an additional very high fee. No longer recommended.
