At last we've succeeded in getting to a production of the winter pantomime put on by the Woodchurch Players, as an advert in the 'What's On' drew it to our attention before it was all over for the season!
What a splendid evening it was too. The cast were enthusiastic in their roles and the evening was full of the sort of pleasant innuendo jokes for the adults and physical comedy fun for the youngsters that you'd expect from a first class professional pantomime but don't always get. We had also visited the Marlowe Aladdin this year and we much preferred the Woodchurch version which was in the 'old' tradition of slapstick.... and as for the Flying Carpet scene Woodchurch did it better! There were talented singers from the tinies to the 6 footers and of course the 'nee -naw' policemen went down a treat with the audience. Costumes, scenery, lighting and sound effects were excellent - although in general maybe the smoke effect could be more sparingly used.
If you haven't seen it yet do try and go along, everyone is very welcoming and it's a treat not to be missed!

What a wonderful performance of aladdin. There was everything you'd expect from a panto - loads of audience participation with all the classics you'd want at a panto! I haven't been to a panto for at least 30+ years and it was a fantastic experience and I laughed so much! The cast were all amazing and looked like they were having so much fun too. A special shout out to the spirit of the ring - what a lot of lines to learn and delivered with perfection!

Another fantastic pantomime - so much talent coming together in our Village! Huge well done to so many for all your hard work - it’s paid off again and made a fun filled evening! Thank you!

Such a fun and fab panto- so much hard work has been put into this- a real heart and soul production.

I wonder if 2.5 hours might be a little long though.

Attended Snow White Pantomime in our Local Village Hall and was amazed of the professionalism of the cast,crew and helpers.
The whole show was filled with laughs and I would like to point out that Justice Quill and Scribbles were so so funny.
Edna Bucket was a proper Panto Dame player to the audience strengths.
Saying that without all of the cast and crew the whole event would not have been a success

What a performance! I did not expect the production values for this village pantomime to be that professional…… boy was I wrong! Fantastic cast, wonderful crew and an awesome performance! Great family show lots of laughs! We will definitely be back again next year!!
