Dealing with woodlands.co.uk has been…

Dealing with woodlands.co.uk has been one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. A friend purchased a woodland plot from this company 21 years ago with the understanding that the markers that they had placed showed the boundaries. These markers were still in place when we purchased the plot 17 years ago and are still in place today. At the end of 2025 they declared the original markers they had placed 21 years ago as "lazy" and proceeded to redraw the line loosing us several feet of land that they had previously demarked as being part of our plot. I'm assuming that they registered the boundaries with land registry all those years ago which begs the question were the people who placed the first markers aware that they were misleading people? Could this then be construed as fraud? Who knows but it certainly feels as though we've been lied to and some kind of con has taken place and apparently we're supposed to be "happy" about this. Moving forward I would prefer not to have any further dealings with them at all. It's interesting that they say they are very picky about who they allow to purchase woods from them while behaving in a way that to me is morally reprehensible.

A great purchase and a wonderful place

I bought our 5 and half acres in Gloucestershire. The site is a joy, and was well prepared by the company.

More importantly, the track was resurfaced at our request, and we've realised the company are selective about not selling to any old purchaser.

This give us the confidence that we will have peaceful enjoyment of our land for the years to come as our trees grow and our re-wilding continues. As they only sell to buyers with the right mindset, we are building a community of supportive owners who all share a vision to re-wild the site and help each other.

Not interested in the preservation of woodland, happy for it to be destructed.

Woodlands are not interesting in the conservation of the land that is sold. Buyers have now deteriorated woodland and not preserved the environment that has stood for hundreds of years. Wildlife has been seriously impacted. Some managers who sell the land turn a blind eye to various reconfigurations now going on and do not follow the issued covenant conditions which new woodland buyers should abide by.
