Terrible service. The company doesn't trust their own customers!

I ordered an item on 4th November. On 13th November, having not received the item, I chased Woodylock up. I simultaneously got two emails - one telling the purchase had been "fulfilled", and the other saying that the item had been lost by the courier! So first issue, Woodylock are sending out confusing messages! After spending some time on their website chat (no phone number to ring on unfortunately, which says a lot in itself), it was confirmed that the item had indeed been lost, and that they were going to send me another. I was very disappointed that it took me chasing for them to realise this, rather than them getting in touch with me about it. Anyway, fast forward to 22nd November, and still nothing has arrived. I have again spoken to Woodylock via their chat, which took a very long time. Eventually someone told me that the item had been lost by the courier and that a new item was going to be despatched. Well yes, I knew that, but that was 9 days ago, so where is it? They then started pointing to their hidden T's & C's where it apparently confirms that shipping can take up to 15 business days - or 3 weeks in the real world!!! Wow!

At this point I just asked for a full refund. Oh no, you can only have a refund when you receive the item, and then pay for postage to send it back to them, which can "cost up to $35". Only when they receive the package back will they refund you, because "sometimes there are cases when the customer keeps the product and asks for a refund" - i.e. they don't trust their own customers!!! Wow!! The best that they could offer me was a 20% (then 30%) discount on my next item / refund! Yeah right, like I would ever buy anything from this bunch of bandits again!

A company without a phone number, who can't tell me when my item will arrive, who only find out there's an issue when you chase them, who take up to 3 weeks to despatch products, and then think their customers are going to scam them. Avoid at all costs - there are so many companies making genuinely good woord working tools who look after their customers. They deserve your business far more than these bandits.
