A fantastic week at Southern Zanzibar Vet Clinic
I did the "Southern Zanzibar Vet Clinic" project for a week and it was a really great experience. Good communication with WWV before my trip, and well taken care of by clinic owner Dr Abdi and his team during my time there. All logistics worked without any issues at all, travels, pick-up etc. Despite me only spending a week with the team on site, I still had time to see and learn interesting cases and contribute with spay/neuter work. The accommodation is nice and close to the beach and restaurants as well.
Incredible week with Thrive in Zimbabwe…
Incredible week with Thrive in Zimbabwe (The Zim!)….amazing lodging, so much good food, the best guides, incredible activities! My favourite excursion was the morning we visited the elephant sanctuary, and got to feed the elephants! Also really appreciated learning about the dog anti-poaching team….
Alan and Patsy, Kruger Wildlife Project
We set off to have an adventure and step out of our comfort zone and as older volunteers the Kruger Wildlife Project exceeded all of our expectations. From booking with Bailey , collection at the airport and daily wildlife experiences we had an absolute blast. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Jurie, Beryl and Angie deserve special mention for making every day very special. A trip of a lifetime without doubt. And we’re in our 60’s!!
WWVets Thailand project
I attended the WWVets Thailand project. it was an amazing experience for students to embrace the Thai culture whilst also getting involved in medical and surgical cases. i would highly recommend this experience to both clinical and non-clinical vet students.
Compassionate Global Animal Care
Worldwide Vets does incredible work supporting animals worldwide. Even from Canada, I can see the impact of their efforts in wildlife rescue and veterinary outreach. Their dedication to improving animal welfare is inspiring, and they make it easy to support their mission.
it was a dream and that's all!!
upon arrival to resQ- I had to pinch myself to see if this new adventure was real or not!! from the get-go of my arrival to this beautiful compound, I was greeted with nothing but kindness, smiles and warmth. shomit made sure I was comfortable in ever aspect, ever moment of my stay!! I had the unbelievable experience of my lifetime: working with wildlife I had only seen in zoos and in movies!!
I was afforded the opportunities to work hands-on with leopards, birds, owls, snakes to name a few! these images have been imprinted in my memory box for the rest of my life. the doctors and para-vets are so well educated and were able to pass on their skills and knowledge to me! I would not hesitate to be afforded another opportunity to come back to resQ in Pune, India again!! I treasure this opportunity!
the reason for 4 stars: the food. I had a really hard time adjusting to the diet BUT, again, I was taken care of with salads, sandwiches, pasta etc. to accommodate my 'american' tastes!
again, thank you for the opportunity of a lifetime. I am truly blessed.
An unforgettable experience
I had the most wonderful time in Thailand with the Rescue Paws team. The team is full of passion for saving animals’ lives and improving their welfare to the best of their ability. They are extremely friendly and patient. The veterinarians and nurses were always willing to teach us medical knowledge and share Thai culture with us. I am very grateful to have worked with this amazing team — truly the best time of 2025!
I loved volunteering at rescue paws
I loved volunteering at rescue paws. The people were so kind and welcoming. It was a life experience I will always remember! Dr. Cooky & Dr. Aum are absolutely amazing and I learned so much from them.
Best experience ever
Best experience ever! I finally got the hands-on experience in surgical procedures (neutering + spaying) I was looking for. The entire JCT-team is very nice and helpful. I had a great surgeon accompanying me in every step of the surgical procedures. This experience also gave me the confidence I needed for the future.
I volunteered at Resq
I volunteered at Resq , Pune and it was an amazing experience. The wildlife exposure is quite hands on and the Resq team is so amazing and supportive ❤️
Experience of a lifetime…
Booking was very easy and the support available from the team was excellent.
We were looked after so well by the team at Imire Rhino Conservation. It was like you were part of the family and nothing was too much trouble. The activities were well planned and you felt like you were really helping the community and the conservation of the animals. Saving up to come back.
I had a wonderful experience with WWV
I had a wonderful experience with WWV! I did the Kruger Wildlife Project :) They organized all so well and I felt well looked after! The booking was quite easy and the experience itself with Volunteer in Africa was wonderful! We worked with antelopes, buffalo, giraffes and rhinos. Kruger itself we visited one day. The work was in some private reserves around Kruger - in greater Kruger. So don't expect to live or work inside the Kruger national park even if it's called Kruger wildlife/vet project...just that you know. <3
I had the absolute best time at the…
I had the absolute best time at the Zanzibar clinic, absorbing all the local culture and treating pets across the whole island. It truly is an amazing place to be and such an amazing team there. So many great things to do on your day off and everywhere we went we felt safe. Highly recommend volunteering here! I was not ready to come home.
Amazing course on Rhino dehorning
From booking to departure, this was an incredible course. It combined the trip of a lifetime to Africa with education and field opportunities you would never get otherwise. Not only did you get to learn about a different side of veterinary medicine and the world, but you got to experience. Booking was easy, and Bailey was incredibly accessible and helpful, and the entire experience was well curated, safe, and educational with a solid amount of adventure and fun! Everyone had such wonderful spirits and clearly cared so much about their work. You'll never want to leave, and you'll want to go back again and again! And the fact it's RACE approved is phenomenal!
Zaazo Zanzibar
I thought it was an adventurous, educational experience. Because of this project I have even decided to go to Tanzania for a longer period of time! I learned a lot and also had good guidance.
(not so) Kruger Wildlife Project
Although I did enjoy the program (Kruger Wildlife Project) and had fun meeting the other girls and some of the activities, I do feel like the advertisement is somewhat misleading. During the two weeks, we only spent 2 half days working hands on with the animals and the rest of the time we either fed buffalo and sable hay or were on tourist trips. I think this definitely would suit some people, however it was described as working with elephants, giraffes and the big 5 when in reality this wasn't overly the case. We also stayed in a different accommodation to what was advertised, away from the big 5 and on a private hire. The biggest surprise was that we were over an hour away from Kruger Park and would only visit it once and that was to do a safari. Like I said, I DID enjoy it and liked when we were hands on with the animals, I just feel it could have a more accurate description of both the activities and the accommodation so other people actually know what to expect.

Absolutely amazing experience
Absolutely amazing experience! This trip has it all. Not regreting a single second spend in South Africa on this project (Kruger Wildlife). It was a life-changing experience full of fun, new friends, stunning animals and nature! Definetly coming back<3
This was my second trip with Worldwide…
This was my second trip with Worldwide Vets and it was just as wonderful as the first one! My first was the Safari Vet Internship in South Africa in July 2024. I could never have anticipated all of the amazing opportunities that we were given. Last month, August 2025, I did the SOS Wildlife project also in South Africa. Booking and arrangements were smooth and I was well prepared for the trip. The project itself was nothing short of amazing. Everyone on site was genuinely welcoming and happy to teach - it felt like stay at the home of friends and mentors. Truly a life-changing experience both times!
Excelent experience
Everything went well. Easy communication. If I needed something I wrote and they wrote me back as soon as possible. Everybody was super nice. Definitely would recommend going with them. Would go again.
SOS Widlife project and Rhino Dehorning Mission: Life-Changing experiences !
I booked in August two volunteers programs with WWV: the SOS wildlife in South Africa and the Rhino Dehorning mission in Namibia. I highly recommend them: the programs are so great and the people of the teams are so welcoming, passionate and I had beautiful experiences with wildlife !
During the SOS wildlife project we had the chance to work with an incredible staff ( Sven, Meghan, Ryan and the other member of the team) during mass captures or with rhinos and cheetahs.
The Rhino Dehorning Mission was incredible too. We had the chance to work close to these gentle giants with a passionate team. We also worked with giraffes and sables. The lectures were really interesting ! Gemma and Lisa and the whole team in the reserve is amazing !
Can’t wait to book my next program !!
