Avoid this website

I ordered some Bibles for my sons for Christmas and believed I was making a one-time purchase. Somewhere during the checkout process, I was apparently enrolled in a rewards program. I may have been in a hurry and missed something, but I certainly don’t remember intentionally signing up for a recurring paid membership.

Eight months later, while reviewing our credit card statements, we discovered that we had been getting charged for this program the entire time.

I understand that ultimately I need to pay closer attention during checkout and do a better job regularly reviewing our credit card statements. That’s on me. However, I also believe businesses should make recurring paid memberships very clear during the purchasing process rather than allowing customers to unknowingly enroll.

It’s especially disappointing when you’re purchasing Bibles from a company presenting itself as Christian. Apparently I’m learning two lessons from this experience: review my credit cards more often, and don’t assume a Christian website won’t use the same questionable subscription tactics as everyone else.

I would encourage anyone ordering from this company to carefully review every box and option during checkout and then watch your credit card statements afterward.

Christian in name not in service. False advertisement.

I ordered a bible with my full name to be printed on it. Waited 3 weeks and finally called. They said imprinting is no longer available and i wont be charged for it. I explained to the gentlemen, if i wanted a regular bible i wiuld have gone to barnes and noble instead of waiting 3 weeks and still didnt get it. I asked to cancel the order and he was unable to cancel it and refund me. Instead he had to send a shipping label which will come with the bible yet the bible will still take another 2 weeks. I also asked why they provided the service of name imprinting if it's not truly available?? He said their warehouse is moving and it was 2 weeks prior they found out but im confused because i ordered 3 weeks ago therefore i should still have been able to get my order in. I would have been treated better by unbelievers than this. Not sure why they have a company just to defile the name of God and all of christianity with this type of service. Really sad. Then they don't even attempt to make amends with their clients for this terrible service and all the wasted time and frustration.

Took illegally money from my card…

Took illegally money from my card without authorisation and the book was already paid. I needed the money for my medicine and the Manager hung up on me and they refuse to reverse it. They call themselves Christians. They should be closed down they are dodgy. I will report them the authorities and get the Manager fired.

I rarely leave negative reviews

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other customers should know what happened.
I placed my order on May 31 and waited over a month with no shipment. During that time, I called customer service twice. The first time I was told it would take about 18 days. After nearly a month with no tracking, I called again and was told they were having problems and that it would ship soon.

After waiting more than a month, I requested that my order be canceled before it shipped. Instead of honoring my cancellation request, the order shipped afterward.

The supervisor later explained they were experiencing supplier delays and warehouse technical issues and said they were “unable to cancel” my order. While I appreciate the apology and the prepaid return label, I don’t believe internal business issues should become the customer’s responsibility.

As a small business owner, I understand that mistakes happen. What builds customer loyalty is how a company responds when they make one. In my opinion, a company that delayed an order for over six weeks and then shipped it after the customer requested cancellation should do more than simply ask the customer to return it for a refund. A partial refund, store credit, or another goodwill gesture would have shown that customer satisfaction truly mattered.

I expected better from a company that serves the Christian community. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that policies mattered more than the customer.

Horrible Ebook

This platform used to be great, but the new ebook feature is a huge step backward. You can no longer download the EPUB file and you’re forced to read everything through their online reader, which is incredibly inconvenient and annoying. It’s also misleading, because the email still says the book is “ready to download,” even though that’s not how it works anymore.

It feels like a poorly implemented change, and honestly, if you want actual EPUB files instead of being locked into yet another online reader, stay away.

Great products and friendly as well as helpful customer support

Although some of my orders came later than I wished them to I found it worth the wait. Also, when I had an issue w my account it was resolved in minutes by an extremely helpful and friendly representative when I called the customer service phone number. I didn’t even have to wait long for someone to answer. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. My experience has been surprisingly better than nearly any company I ever dealt with. I recommend using this company.

purchased an ebook

purchased an ebook. I could not download the ebook. the only access it gave was to read the book on their site. It kept talking about downloading it, but it never gave me the option. I am no longer purchasing christian items from them over an $11.99 item. Surely, they are not Christian. They are fraud artists, as AI has described them.

Please do not shop with Christian distributors

These guys are the worst. I hate to say this about what should be a Christian organization. I am cancelling my account. I ordered a book on May 8. Haven't received it yet. And Jason, the customer service rep, couldn't tell me anything and gave me a bogus number Really? I am a pastor, and the Bible says things should be done decently and in order. I'm done.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! Argued with me about my order. I placed an order in April 2026 and during the placing of the order of NeeDohs, the website said nothing about the order being on back order and would NOT arrive until August, October and even into November. I got an email AFTER placing my order that it would take that long. Customer service argued with me and told me that the website said that at the time of purchase. LIES!!! Don’t use this company!

Gives a new name to bad branding

I also was "wowed" by the prices, stock and the fact of the name having the title of Christian in it. I made a huge mistake.
Were they affordable? about the same as Amazon.
Nice selection, yes.
Customer service wasn't rude but very unwilling to help too.
They sent out Bibles that had been personalized with names and I guess returned and they partially covered the names with something, sticking the Bibles in boxes as if they were new. Normally I just don't even bother with companies like this and simply never purchase from them again and make sure that whatever they did is passed along our network as well. Yet, the company has the name Christian in it, I bet it was bad employees or a mistake or something and they don't know... long story almost over, it wasn't, they knew, they really weren't concerned, it was my fault somehow and they don't compromise when money is involved. Insane. (If money ever makes me do something against Him or His word. I am okay sleeping on the street.) Although I didn't ask for a discount or anything, this was a purchase for a new Bible group that will be opening a school. I told her that if she felt it in her heart that they did wrong in fulfilling the order, they could simply send more of the same Bibles I had ordered to the shipping address. She either felt no wrong or shame, or that even a few Bibles being sent to people who have none would be too much for them. I do this often on a personal basis, so no. I don't want to use this company ever again and I hope that they change either their name or their way of thinking.

Terrible, horrible and maybe on the shady side--AVOID

It's no surprise this website gets only 2.3 stars out of 5. Absolutely horrible customer service. Rigid and inflexible when mitigating issues. They'll gladly take your order, but when they can't fulfill it for some reason, they continue to make promises and string you along.
I thought I would support the christian companyinstead of the mega-conglomerates. Nope. headed back to Amazon...

I ❤️ Christian Book Distributors

I have been ordering from Christian Book Distributors for years. This past Christmas, one item was on backorder for quite a while. I was updated frequently and given a refund opportunity multiple times. The prices here are competitive and the customer service is good. I did join their rewards program, but found it to be a poor use of my funds. I was able to cancel without issue. I will order from them again!

Shocked at the bow score. I've been ordering for years and never had a problem

I have been ordering from them for many reviews so I am shocked to see the low rating. Most recently I' made an order and realized That somehow the quantity of books that ended up on the final order was wrong. I then ordered the other books as they were for a Bible study but called them to see if they could combine the orders. They could not but they shipped the other books needed for free. That's what I call customer service

This company is as crooked as can be

I order a Bible from them and was asked to sign up for a rewards program, nothing was said about a fee or cost until I see they charged my credit card for 16.95 a month later.
This company is as crooked as can be for the only rewards was the one they gave themselves for a one time purchase, they get to keep my rewards to them for evidently $16.95 a month
