I have previously awarded this practise 5*, and for that experience, the rating was well deserved. In this case, our experience was the opposite. It seems to depend on the vet.
In this case, our dog had a growth removed from his lip, the wound post surgically opened up as the dissolvable stitch wasn't strong enough, alongside a boisterous young dog.
I get the risks, and it's not that the surgery didnt come off as it should I found so disappointing.
Had an appropriate pre-op assessment been carried out, the treatment pathway would have been different, that's what was so disappointing. Because of a lack of professionalism our dog has a deformed mouth.
Had risks, options, treatment pathways been adequately explained, and our dog ended up in the same position, 5* no problem. On this occasion woefully inadequate.
