Another side of the Hydra ..
Another side of the Hydra ... When you cut off its head, it grows back. After the Hottinger & Partners disaster which saw many investors ruined by the Gaglio / Clermont-Tonnerre couple, the sphinx rises from its ashes in 1788Capital in Switzerland and AUM-am in Malta. The infernal duo no longer exists because the first was arrested and imprisoned for some time while the second emblazoned and smarter escaped unscathed, thanks to his noble name and his connections. The scheme is simple: on one hand, the emblazoned create 1788Capital recruiting office with his wife and his brother-in-law, and on the other hand, he set up a few edge-funds in which they will park the money of the ones who had the misfortune to trust them.
They win on all fronts ... They take some fees at the first level : 1788Capital, huge fees at the edge funds level (entry fees, management fees and exit fees). What funds? Abrax, Amaerus, KnightShields ... etc ... etc, and finally finders fees and commissions at the bank where they parked your money.
They make you sign a series of 'disclaimers', of course they are not responsible for anything, you take the risks, they cash the enormous fees. They win every time, like the bank at the Casino. You loose in the majority of cases. Of course they smoke you up with nice words and manipulated reports. And when, after a few years, you discover the scam, you are ruined and you have no recourse since you have signed all the documents they have prepared for you to protect themselves.
