Opened a mortgage loan with this company starting in June of this year. They claimed multiple times that they never received paperwork needed to further the process even though our home seller/builder had multiple received notifications that they have. Finally closed on the loan on OCTOBER 29th and the house moved to the property on NOVEMBER 5th and was put together on the 8th but because that was a Saturday, they wanted to push it back to Friday in order to justify our first payment due DECEMBER 15th even though they “forgot” to release the funds to the contractor until the 17th of NOVEMBER, 3 weeks after we closed, which put the contractors weeks behind and other homes ahead of us on their schedule. FIRST payment has been made and to date we only have power. Because of the delay in funding, septic and water can’t even be hooked up till more than likely after the new year meaning once the house is put together, we might be in the house sometime late JANUARY or early FEBRUARY. When we brought this up to the company, all they repeatedly said was this was the fault of the home builder, not their fault. I’m already looking into legal action or refinancing with ANY company other this one. They use the excuse that they promoted an entire division up and decided to train them after promoting them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Have emails and correspondence if needed to verify this information.

I would like to give no stars. 21st Mortgage is the epidemy of poor business and miscommunication. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. No one takes or keeps notes on clients and what was discussed which breeds multiply calls which make then sound incompetent. I called and paid off my mortgage the end of june. I called and got the payoff and then called back and paid it off. I was told I would receive the title and the remainder of the escrow in 21 days but to call back in 3 to 5 days to make sure everything went through. I did just that only to find out 5 days after I paid it off they paid the insurance I told them not to pay because I was going with another. So they cancelled and I called American Modern and cancelled. I was thinking today I should be getting my title and escrow refund. No, I got a phone call from 21st asking when I was going to make my june and july payment. I argued with him and said no. you guys owe me my title and my $948 escrow money. He tried to say I had a balance, I said only balance it showed was when they tried to pay the insurance and there wasn't enough and I said to cancel and get my escrow to me along with my title. Last I knew that was where this stood. I also called and cancelled the insurance and have the documentation in front of me. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THEIVES AND HIRE INCOMPETENT STAFF THAT CAN'T KEEP NOTES OR TRACK OF WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE CLIENTS. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY.
