I recently purchased two blackout roller blinds and overall, I’m happy with the product. The blinds look great, provide excellent blackout, and the motorisation feature is a fantastic addition. Although the motorised mechanism costs more than the blind itself, I think it’s a worthwhile feature and makes the blinds much more convenient to use. There was one thing that was disappointing during the purchasing process. At the time I was looking to make my purchase, there was a **Buy One Get One Free** offer available. However, the motorised option had been removed from the website entirely. I would have loved to take advantage of the offer, even if it meant receiving the blinds under the Buy One Get One Free promotion and simply paying separately for the motorised mechanisms. I called to ask whether this could be arranged, but unfortunately I was told that the motorised mechanism couldn’t be added separately to the promotional order and that I would have to purchase the blinds on their own. Even the staff were unable to override this and place the order for me. As I specifically wanted the motorised feature, I ended up having to wait a full week for the promotion to expire before I could place my order. I was happy to pay the additional cost for the motorisation, so it was disappointing to miss out on the promotion simply because the motorised option had been removed from the website. It would have been great if there had been a little more flexibility to accommodate this. Another thing I would have liked, considering the price I paid for two motorised roller blinds, is the ability to operate both blinds from a single remote rather than having two separate remotes. Having one remote to control both blinds would make the system much more convenient. The only other issue I have is with the no-drill mechanism. When you submit your measurements, the screw mechanism is fully extended when the overall width is measured. This creates a larger gap between the blind and the wall once it’s installed. In my opinion, if the screw mechanism were closed when taking the measurement and the actual roller width were used instead, you would get more fabric coverage and the blind would sit much closer to the walls on either side. This would reduce the gaps and, importantly for blackout blinds, minimise the amount of light coming through the sides. The product itself is good quality and works well, and the convenience of motorisation is a real bonus. With a few improvements to the promotional options, remote control setup, and the way measurements are taken for the no-drill mechanism, I think the product could be even better.
