Ben was a fantastic guide
Ben was a fantastic guide! Really knew his stuff and was really patient with us! Great time, would recommend

Best week of my life!
I had never done a trip like this before where I didn’t know the people and was travelling there alone. I was very very nervous but the support pre-departure was fantastic. Everything was covered in detail in the emails and any questions answered super promptly. Shortly before the trip I became unwell and was worried I might be developing a chest infection. I didn’t know what to do so I reached out to the 360 team! Marni could not have been nicer or more helpful, she phoned me to discuss all the options available. Explaining how I could cancel and claim money back, or go and tweak some of the more activities to fit my physical needs. I felt so calmed and reassured after our conversation! Thankfully I was recovered enough in time for the trip to go ahead as planned.
The trip itself was amazing! Some of the activities had to be cancelled due to drought in the region (totally outwith the company’s control) but they were fantastic at getting new activities organised for us that were just as fun and exhilarating! The accommodation we stayed in throughout the trip was lovely, and almost all our meals were covered! We were supplied with plentiful food for lunches on the days out and were never short of stuff to eat. Our guide, Rolfe, was amazing! He had mountains (pun intended) of experiences, his stories were absolutely amazing and unreal! As a group we all agree that him and 360 sound truly inspiring. The way he spoke about his teams across the world being family and how much the company do to look after them was amazing. You could tell that they really care about the people that work with them!
During the trek one of the girls felt a bit light headed and weak, Rolfe made sure to take her rucksack for her as well as carry his own. He had regular check ins and made sure she was drinking plenty and getting plenty energy from snacks. She ended up feeling better closer to the refuge and was able to carry her pack again. Rolfe answered all our questions about the wildlife and flora we seen. He also talked in detail with me about the climbing scene in the Pyrenees and answered all the questions I had about getting into outdoor climbing. We had plentiful laughs on the van journeys to our various locations and I spent the whole trip just in a wee bubble of happiness!
Every day the whole team was smiling and laughing away. We all pushed ourselves to try something new and challenging, and Rolfe cheered us on the whole way! We also had the pleasure of meeting Holly and Ben, they were nice enough to invite us all back to their flat for drinks after the pubs shut in the town. They were genuinely the loveliest people!
I’ll definitely be booking a trip with 360 again, I can’t fault them at all! Whole team is wonderful :)!

Fabulous support from sales to summit!
I've been on 3 trips with 360, the most recent one being to Monte Rosa in September 2022.
I can't fault the support from the lovely ladies running a tight ship in the office - always helpful and able to answer a whole array of weird and wonderful questions!
I'd originally been interested in a Mont Blanc trip, but unfortunately post-Covid all of the spaces were booked up, but Marni suggested an alternative and it did not disappoint. There were some slight changes to the itinerary on arrival, but I think that's generally to be expected with these types of trips given all the aspects being juggled, and our guides were excellent and kept us well informed. Monte Rosa was the perfect combination of spectacular scenery, challenging terrain, and the hustle and bustle of mountain refuges.
In January 2022 I set out on my biggest adventure to date, to climb Aconcagua at just under 7000m. I was a last minute addition to the trip due to another guide unfortunately having to cancel, but Marni and the team got me prepped with all the information I needed. There were a couple of minor items that our guides expected us to have which weren't on the kit list (bowls and cutlery), but it was easy enough to source these in Mendoza - and proves the point of having a kit check prior to setting off. Our local guides were fantastic and went above and beyond, not just guiding us, but advising on equipment, making sure all health and safety aspects were covered (particular post-Covid), arranging all of the logistics, and cooking our meals once we were up beyond base camp. The facilities at base camp were a pleasant surprise - I was fully prepared for 3 weeks of baby wipes, so finding out there were hot showers (albeit basic) was a joy! The food at basecamp was also fantastic, I am a vegetarian and was worried it would be limited, but there was plenty of choice. Further up the mountain the food was more basic (as I fully expected), but still plentiful and fuelled us to the top. The trek itself was by no means easy, and definitely the most challenging one I've taken on, not helped by being ill for a few days. Despite putting in the work beforehand to prep for a self-supported expedition, nothing quite prepares you for the effects of altitude! But it was equally rewarding, and 360's slightly longer itinerary seemed to be effective with achieving a successful summit. There were other much larger groups on shorter schedules who had varied degress of success. Overall a rewarding experience - what doesn't break you, makes you and all that jazz!
My first trip with 360 was the Pyrenees Thousand Lakes tour in September 2021! Our guide Ben was an absolute star, extremely knowledgeable and did everything he could to make sure we got the absolute most out of it, including summiting Pico Montardo. The scenery was absolutely stunning and Ben kept us informed about all of the flora and wildlife. I would thoroughly recommend this trip!

Looking forward to next one!
A great experience so we’ll do another! A few of the guys had done Kili with Nat and 360 and I know why they suggested we do Jordan/Petra with them too.
Mega helpful in the prep, during the trek and even at the end.
Nat was brilliant, both skilled and professional but a great laugh too.
We are already planning Peru next year with Nat and 360…looking forward to it!! Well done and thanks

Pyrenees Winter Skills 2023
Pyrenees Winter Skills 2023
This was a trip I had to put off with covid and other issues over the last few years. So, it was highly anticipated!
It did not disappoint!!
All of the communication leading up to the trip was spot on, itinerary, kit list, general check ins and tips for the trip were well received.
The day arrived and the anticipation was raw, Rolfe the head guide met us at the airport and this mountain man was everything I thought he’d be. He has utter credibility, a great blunt sense of humour and the natural ability to lead. I knew I had no worries.
Jamie and Nat as our other guides assisted the group with all sorts of minor details, providing little tips and tricks to aid the groups mountain readiness.
The acclimatisation of the first night welded the group of strangers together and the follow days trek to the mountain hut was epic!
The days of learning the winter skills were all well presented and thorough, many a tale of what can go wrong being told first hand by Rolfe to give us the realism we need to make sure the knowledge was embedded. The syllabus of mountain skills, practise, repetition and coaching were top of the range and utterly brilliant giving me confidence to venture further in the future.
I couldn’t go on summit day having reached my physical limits, this was something that I had not anticipated, but this means I am getting prepped to book for next year!
Overall I am completely satisfied with the course 360 provided.
Thank you to all at 360 Expeditions! See you soon!

Adventure of a lifetime!!!
I booked with 360 through Adventure999 and took part in their expedition skills course including a summit of Pico Aneto. The guide Rolfe has summited Everest twice and has over 2 decades of mountaineering experience including hundreds of summits around the world. The entire course was incredible and I learned so much. I can't recommend the company highly enough!!!

Highly recommend!!
What to say?! An absolutely incredible experience, with an incredible bunch of people, led by an exceptional team from 360 Expeditions. I was recommended to go with 360 from a friend and I can now see why. They were brilliant, from start to finish.
Ben, our leader from the UK, was excellent. He brought us together as a team, and led us up Mount Kilimanjaro. He was super cool, chilled and became very much part of the group. The local Tanzanian guides were absolutely brilliant too - they started out as guides, and ended as friends.
The camp, food, organisation…everything..was absolutely nailed on from the outset. Could not fault anything!
I highly recommend climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in the first instance, and can’t imagine doing the expedition with anyone other than 360 Expeditions 💯👍
Thank you to the whole 360 team…I’ll never forget it ❤️

Phenomenal company
What can you say about 360 Expeditions that hasn’t already been said? They’re EPIC, and I can’t recommend them enough.
By the end of 2023 my husband and I will have done 18 trips with them. I think that speaks volumes for the kind of company they are. Between us we have done everything from Toubkal to Everest, with many others in between!
For anyone looking to go on adventures big or small then 360 should absolutely be on your radar.
From initial booking to returning home you get a completely personal and hands on experience. The organisation and planning is meticulously done. The in-country teams are top notch, the routes are spectacular, and the cost is incomparable when you look at what’s included compared to other adventure companies.
I cannot wait to experience more of the world with them.

Kilimanjaro trip
The 360 team both the U.K. based team and Tanzanian team were very supportive and knowledgeable. Being a solo traveller I was a little worried at first, but I soon felt very supported before and during the trip.
Everything was catered for on the trip and very well organised. All the guides were very knowledgeable and were always ready to help.
Camps were clean and tidy and well located every time. The food was superb and could not fault any of the meals.
The route itself was well planned and the itinerary worked perfectly. Each day the was a brief for the following day and all questions were answered.
Overall 360 were amazing and I’d highly recommend.

Amazing Kilimanjaro trip
Another fabulous trip with 360
Pre trip advice and comms were great
The Western leader was a really great guy, knew what he was doing, helped to bring the whole team together, provided great advice and helped to soothe nerves throughout the trip. Was always there, provided excellent briefings and kept a close eye on the whole team on summit night
Local crew were amazing, every one of them did everything they could to help us get to the summit, I couldn't not have done it without them
All in all a great experience, a smooth running operation but still made us feel special. Great touch with the final night dinner, outdoor table all 'poshed up' and a local acrobat/dancing/limbo/fire dancing troupe helped us all let our hair down and celebrate our achievement
I'm back to the dream it part of the adventure cycle and would not hesitate to use 360 again, indeed they will be my first port of call!

Lost City Colombia - a new 360 winner…
I have recently returned from my first trip with any trekking company to the Lost City in Colombia. It was 360's first trip there too so the trip was untried and untested.
It was fabulous! Each and every guide over the 12 days was knowledgeable and passionate, especially our duo guide and interpreter for the actual 5 day trek to the Lost City. I felt very lucky to have such interesting, supportive and fun local professionals looking after us. I know that the team at 360 will hone this Colombian adventure even more into what was for me, a truly unforgettable one.

Climbing Aconcagua with 360-Expeditions
Aconcagua is a tough mountain, but an excellent challenge nevertheless. One of the many reasons that I chose this mountain was because I was looking for a 7000m peak for training purposes, prior to an 8000m summit attempt in the Karakoram later in 2022.
No regrets, aim achieved, 360-Expeditions preparation advice spot on!
Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Western hemisphere (6962m), located in western Argentina, near the Chile border. The 'Normal Route' is non-technical - a walk-up, following the Northwest Ridge. It is the altitude that poses the biggest problem. That and the sense that this is an easy climb. Every year people die because of inexperience and/or they underestimate the task at hand. Respect this mountain and you will fare better.
You need experience walking in crampons and with the use of an ice axe, plus carrying heavier loads from Base Camp to the high camps, but nothing more. However, the sheer height of Aconcagua, along with extremely cold temperatures on the mountain, make it a challenging ascent, even for accomplished mountaineers.
How fit do you need to be to climb Aconcagua?
In order to climb Aconcagua, you need to have an excellent level of fitness. It is rated as a level 8 expedition, which means it's an extremely tough challenge. For most people, it will be the toughest challenge of their life. You need to have an excellent level of cardio fitness and also be well used to endurance hillwalking. The lessons gained about how you perform and the skills taught by the guides will establish robust guidelines for any future aspirations you have at high altitude.
Local Guide Gianni has worked closely with Rolfe Oostra (360-Expeditions Co-Founder / Owner) over a number of years to set up an ascent programme that gives the clients the best possible chance to summit. Acclimatisation works, so the itinerary is excellent in terms of summit preparation.
Some further Aconcagua thoughts, based upon this excellent 360-Expeditions experience:
• Expect extremes of climate from very hot to very cold all within 24-hrs. Being the highest mountain in South America it has its own diverse weather.
• Unusually, no water at C1 which impacted on logistics and weights carried by expedition members to the higher camps. However, the 360 local guides adapted quickly and came up with an alternate plan. No issue, ultimately.
• Base Camp snow and above meant that crampons and plastic boots were worn continually for 4-5 days either side of the summit. All good training, being prepared for the unforeseen.
• Gianni and Mercedes combined well throughout as 360 local guides. Sound advice at all times, both very knowledgeable and with considerable high-altitude experience. Specifically, meticulous preparation from base camp to C1 / C2 / C3 to the summit and back down. When faced with a couple of team members suffering from exhaustion near the summit, quick plans were executed to ensure safe passage back to C3. Additionally, both did much more than ‘just guiding’ in that they cooked for us on a daily basis above 5000m. Impressive stuff and the food was good too!
• Excellent medical protocols throughout, especially at Confluenzia and Base Camp where all team members were routinely reviewed by a doctor. Also, pulse oximeter tests were conducted by 360 Guides Gianni and Mercedes on a daily basis.
• Aconcagua Vision services at Confluenzia and Base Camp were excellent, including a diverse menu, notwithstanding altitude and long resupply routes.
In summary, Aconcagua with 360-Expeditions was a fulfilling experience from start to finish and more than fulfilled expectations. The perfect preparation for the Karakoram this summer (with 360-Expeditions, of course)!

I have not long been back from a great expedition to Everest Base Camp with 360.
The trip was amazing and well organised. All of the guides were knowledgeable and experienced which makes for a wonderful trip where you feel safe.
I have used 360 for 90% of my mountain treks and will continue to use them.

Amazing experience in Nepal
I’ve just got back from an AWESOME trip to Nepal with 360, their approach to EBC via Gokyo and the Cho La pass made for a challenging but brilliant experience. I’ve done numerous trips with 360 and I stick with them because I trust them. Their guides were knowledgable and supportive, the local crew were great and the chosen route and itinerary allowed for amazing views and incredible experiences with a fab team.

Thank you everyone at 360
I write this as the father of my son who has recently undertaken two separate, life changing experiences with 360. Facing another 12 months of lockdown in 2021, my 20-year-old son expressed an interest in travelling and mountaineering/exploration. We contacted/phoned/emailed several mountaineering/expedition companies online over a period of two weeks, not one of them returned our emails or phone calls. In one final bid to find someone to talk to, we searched again and came across 360 Expeditions. It was to prove to be a truly life changing moment for my son and his future. Within moments of our enquiry, we were telephoned by a member of the team who spent a huge amount of time talking through our requirements and how they may help. We booked the Khumbu 3 Peaks for September 2021 and Aconcagua for January 2022. With my son having no previous experience, members of the 360° family invited us to the Pyrenees in the summer of 2021 for my son to learn mountaineering skills. A few months later, accompanied by a member of the 360° team and local Sherpa, he spent just under four weeks tracking the Khumbu Valley and sumitting many of the significant peaks. A few months later, he was standing on top of Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. Whilst his achievements were amazing and have given him experiences he will remember for the rest of his life, what really stands out is 360° and their team. I am a businessman myself and I was particularly struck at the professionalism of this company who go above and beyond. We were made to feel part of that family and at all times we were kept updated and informed, there was always someone to answer the telephone no matter what time of day, and it is for that reason that we entrusted our son to 360° who we knew would keep him safe whilst providing him with the best experience of his life. We still sit down to dinner with our son now and he recounts his stories of how he summited these mountains, his mother and I in awe of the photographs. There is no doubt these expeditions have turned a timid teenager into a confident young man and we as a family could not be more grateful to everyone at 360° for their support, professionalism and kindness. Keep up the good work guys, we recommend you to everyone who wants to follow in our son’s footsteps, you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. Thank you for everything

A trip of a lifetime to EBC with 360 expeditions
Thank you to all at 360. I've just returned from Everest Base Camp,my 5th trek with 360, and as always, they were superb. From the day of booking to the day we returned home they provided a 5 star service. In Nepal we had two 360 guides and a fantastic local team that helped make this a trip of a lifetime. Our accommodation and food throughout was some of the best I've ever had. The route taken provided perfect acclimatisation and amazing views. They offered extra walks on rest days, that shouldn't be missed, a visit to a monastery, and a helicopter ride that made you feel like bear grylls. I Highly recommended 360 expeditions for your next adventure.

This expedition to a mountain just under 7000m demands the highest level of fitness. I trained hard and with well over 30 years experience in the mountains was fully prepared, extremely fit, strong, at the top of my mountaineering experience and ready for the huge challenge ahead. All the skills and level of fitness required for this mountain! I had trained, been coached, climbed and been to high altitude summits with some of the top mountain guides over a few years.
What I experienced was the worst expedition. The guides were local who we met on arrival. My experience:
Poor logistics - its normal to carry loads up the mountain gradually, this was not the case here. Our loads were well above the recommended.
Food - on the mountain the food was responsibility of the guides. It was poor un-nutritional and completely inadequate for the challenge ahead (this was when we moved from basecamp where food is provided by an independent company and was good). Climbing at altitude requires a significant amount of calorie intake and plays a huge role in ensuring you are fully prepared for summit night, the food given did not provide the necessary energy to sustain you. The evening prior to summit night what they produced for a meal, I simply could not eat. Rather than trying to help or find a solution, the guide stood and in front of everyone, lost it completely asking me why I didn't eat, what was wrong with it and told me I would not summit. An embarrassing experience that did not provide the encouragement or support required to summit. I didn't summit, taking ill just below it- they blamed myself for this. 50% of the group suffered from what was put down to exhaustion. If no altitude problems are present, then extremely fit, strong people on mountains can suffer from exhaustion as a cumulative result of poor logistics, lack of sufficient food/nutrition and poor support in the way of encouragement. The provisions given to us on summit night were inadequate (consisted mostly of sugary sweets) and would not have sustained me on much lower mountains within the UK.
Guiding - simply a process, every day the same with very little talking. No points of interest were spoken about (there were some spectacular flowers for example). Walk for an hour, stop for ten minutes - all timed with a five minute warning about moving on. We were told where to stand in line and given very little advice on what to expect on a daily basis for example in terms of weather to allow us to make informed decisions on what to carry. The guides regularly sat in the middle of the group at meal times speaking in their own language. Summit night was dreadful, constantly stopping for the first part in the cold and dark as one of our team members was ill. It was an extremely cold experience having to stand about waiting. The following morning the guide came to my tent to let me know about breakfast and then started going on about another client and how unhappy they were with the client on summit night. My view, Guides should not be speaking about other clients.
I discussed my concerns with 360 and am still left saddened by their response, hence feel the need to share my experience. Apparently everyone had a great time, this was not the same experience as others, I was the only person who raised concerns. I felt just a standard reply. However, I have a huge amount of experience gained over 30 years in the mountains and on expedition. One member of our group did not even have some relevant basic skills for this mountain. 360 concluded 'it was not for me' - I had paid thousands for this expedition and it was my next carefully chosen big expedition, one which I was extremely fit and fully prepared for. 360 spoke to the guide and some of what came back I asked if they had even been on the same expedition, completely a wrong account. The only credit I could give to the company is the excellent support given by office staff prior to going on expedition. However, would never book with them again.

Climbing Kilimanjaro - everything I hoped for and more.
Having done previous trips with 360, I knew I would be in the best of hands when I decided to tackle Africa’s tallest mountain.
I wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic leaders, plus helpful and friendly local crew made for a wonderful experience. It was tough but an achievement made possible with the excellent support and encouragement of the 360 team.
Thank you from a very happy customer.

not a company I would recommend
One of the main reasons why I decided to pay a premium price for this expedition was due to knowing that we would have a highly skilled western leader as part of the trip. Sadly our leader had to leave the expedition early due to injury so we were left with a local guides who only had very limited English and none of who were medically trained. We also experienced (at least three of us) the the local guides wanted extra money for helping us. Our efforts at reaching out to 360 Expeditions were also in vain. We were basically left in the dark - I would not recommend them at all!
