The Best Canon Camera
I absolutely love this Canon 5DS R. I primarily photograph macro insects, rescue dogs, and cats, thanks to it's 50mp sensor. I was in the market for long at B& H photo but they sold out for weeks and didn't appear to be getting back in stock anytime. So I searched for top Canon suppliers. 42nd Photo, authorized Canon dealers is your one stop shop for all your needs when it comes to photography 📸, video and accessories. I'm so grateful for the sales rep who picked up my call to assist me.

Buyer Beware - I ordered a "brand new" Nikon camera and lens from their online store. I also called them to make sure the items were in stock and was told they would ship in one to two day. After a week and no notification the items had shipped I called back. I spoke to a clerk who said they were still inspecting the item. An unusual response, so after asking more questions I determined they were actually selling me an old display model. He said they did not have any new stock and said their online add must be a mistake. The clerk was unprofessional and confrontational. I immediately cancelled my order an wrote their management, describing the incident, in the hope they would correct the problems. To date they have never replied to my letter or corrected their false advertisement.

Ease of order checkout and duties clearance for orders from Canada, along with an amazing staff to help, with videos and informative product reviews, first stop when shopping online. Free shipping to Canada on orders over $100 beats eBay and Amazon.
Sometimes DHL is hard on the packing boxes, especially for photo paper, but that's not 42nd Photography's fault. But if you have a choice between UPS, FedEx, or DHL, choose non-DHL options for best results.

Exceptional Service
Fantastic service-only people I could find in New York with a new Canon ef85 f/1.4IS stock, and I managed to order on Black Friday eve. Lens came very well packaged, and delivery via free shipping Saturday, awesome.Have bought from 42nd Photo many times, and can't rate them highly enough for their exceptional after-sales service.

The Pentax K70 (Used) has tons of perks condensed in a relatively small package. I've been a photographer for 30 years and Pentax sports features that other manufacturers charge an arm and a leg for. 42nd PHOTO has excellent customer service and fast shipping. NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S Macro is Excellent

The new Nikon NIKKOR Z 105mm macro lens is sensational!! My friends are amazed at the detail of the insects i have been photographing. 42nd PHOTO experience great too. I want to thank 42nd PHOTO Cameras for really fast one day shipping and great packaging of lens after waiting for it to come back into stock from a pre-order.

42n St Photo operate like scammers or cons. I always use my credit card just in case. Most will open a fraud case and snatch the money back until a seller can prove their case. I paid $1,900 for a Sony camera. I got an email the next day saying call them, they needed more info to process my order. I called and got someone saying that the camera I ordered was a European model and wouldn’t work in the US. Then proceeded to try to sell me the US model for $2,300. Then asked if I would buy it w/o the lens promised for a $150 decrease in price. I could get it from a reputable company for the same. Then he asked why I don’t get A7II instead. My question is why don’t you state in your advertisement what you REALLY have? Stated he would be charging me a $94 cancellation fee. I told him he'd have to fight it out with my CC company. I mean it was such a scam. I say STAY AWAY! Wish I had room to tell the entire conversation.

Oben BE-117 Ball Head
Very well made ball head at a fraction of the price of its European competitor. I use it with my mirrorless system & monopod. Excellent compact ball head!

RED MONSTRO 8K VV
After waiting 3 months for my RED MONSTRO 8K VV I was excited when it finally came and I have to say the wait was well worth it. The size and weight are fantastic for such a powerful camera and I love the easy to use menus. But the best part of this camera is the amazing images. I can't believe what I am able to shoot for the price. It is a giant leap forward in cameras.

Feiyu Action Cam Motorized Gimbal Stabilizer
the gimbal works perfectly, slight issues of connectivity, but it produces a stabilized image. But I would like to underscore the OUTSTANDING Customer service of 42nd St. I had a problem with the latest update and they fixed it as soon as they could. Although I returned the first item, the entire process was smooth, fast and accurate. Good job!!! Congrats 42nd Customer support!!!

42nd Street Photo is a bait & switch scam for grey market cameras and accessories. You place the order for a slightly reduced price (mine was the Fuji X-T4--they are not an authorized Fuji seller so I am assuming that all of their Fuji products are grey market) and within 20 minutes I get fast talking sales person on the phone upcharging me by 20% because I had ordered "the European model" which apparently does not have wifi or a warranty. Stupidly I say "OK" after he throws in "Fuji" batteries and a bunch of other off brand accessories "for my trouble". It arrives and rather than coming in a Fuji Kit Box, everything is packaged separately, which is the classic moniker of grey market parts. The lens was not even in a fuji box. I called and said I had put a stop on my credit card payment and was able to return the product without a 20% restocking fee but had to pay $92 to ship it back and I'm still waiting on about $80 of my refund. RUN AWAY.

OM-D E-M5 Mark III
My new OM-D E-M5 Mark III Is a wonderful piece of equipment! It's the fastest focus I've ever held and FPS pushes the borders of optics. I have shopped at 42nd Photo for almost 10 years, and their customers service is a gold standard in my books. Every product I've purchased from them (new, used or refurbished) has been as advertised and meets my expectations. Working with your team has always been a pleasure!

Scam, ordered camera for fair price was called by rep and told to pay another 20% (USD$500) couldn't cancel my order or had to pay a restock fee of 20% such a terrible experience. would not recommend one bit. Worth spending more with a reputable business. Still mad about this.

I ordered a new Sony camera through Newegg website from 42nd Street Photo. It was advertised for a great price, and I authorized paying for it by PayPal.
Three days later, I received a phone call from a representative from 42nd Street Photo, claiming that they could not sell the camera at that price, and the camera I ordered was a "European Import". When I asked them what was available, he quoted me a price of $300 more for a U.S. warranty model, or additional $260 for the "European Import" I ordered. Although they told me that they would cancel the order as requested, and promised not to charge me on PayPal, I strongly felt the whole deal was typical bait and switch!!

The people there are friendly and will help once approached but half of them seem distracted so you may have to go find them. This isn't too much of an issue because there has always been a large number of staff when I have gone in.

There is lots of open space for a camera store, and the selection is small but seems of high quality.

The service from 42nd PHOTO is always first class in fact five star .
But the delivery company they use is very poor especially when receiving paper they have no respect For the product they deliver.
I have never received darkroom paper in perfect condition

Ordered Saturday, shipped Monday, arrived Tuesday morning. Very competitive prices, free freight. Excellent service, I will definitely use again and thoroughly recommend 42nd Photo based on my experience with them. They don't have 100% reviews without a reason!

The store is like an Alladin's cave for camera and video 📷 buffs. I didn't know what I was looking for....there are so many choices...formats, brands, lenses, accessories etc. James, one of the experts there, managed to help me throughout the process, and I dare say steer me to the best suited camera. He posseses an encyclopedic trove of knowledge and underscored the pros vs cons of all potential cameras. Will definitely go back when I need more kit or just advice.
