Activating can be technical but the support team were helpful. Once everything was set-up, everything was working well. Speed were decent and connectivity was excellent thoughout the places I went to in Bali. One point of improvement or I may have noticed was the language. Perhaps an option to switch language to English aside from the local from the SMS and USSD. Other than that, it delivers well.

We also really appreciate your feedback regarding the language of carrier SMS and USSD codes. Because the underlying network (Telkomsel) is Indonesia's primary national provider, all system balances and network alerts default to Bahasa Indonesia. While we can't alter the official carrier's system language directly, we are currently updating our onboarding guides with a quick guide translating key USSD codes and carrier messages to make this much easier for international travelers.

The price was good and I got a phone number as well as data but the set up was confusing although the staff kept helping until the eSIM was working. afterwards I received lots of text messages in Indonesian which I had to translate one by one which was annoying.

Regarding the text messages: Telkomsel (Indonesia's primary carrier) automatically sends network and promotional SMS in Indonesian to all active local numbers.
💡 Tip for Future Guests: You can safely ignore or clear these system texts! They are standard promotional broadcasts from the main carrier and do not contain urgent actions or charges for your Balisim package.
