Unable to Attend Due to Poor Traffic and Parking Management
I purchased three tickets for the Abingdon Bonfire & Fireworks 2025 event, but despite arriving in good time, we were refused entry because the car park was already full. There was no effective traffic or parking management, and we were asked to turn around and return home. This meant my family and I — including my young daughter — were unable to attend the event at all despite having valid tickets.
The organisers later issued a public apology acknowledging the management issues, yet no clear refund process was provided. Even though the Eventbrite listing stated tickets were non-refundable, the failure in event execution was entirely due to poor organisation by the event team. I am disappointed that we did not receive the service we paid for and hope future events are better managed.
